October 27th, 2014 , 1 Comment »

Hello Folks. . . hope all is well.  I guess you guys have noticed that I'm using a lot of retired stamp sets lately.  Today is no different.  I've been looking for this set for some time and I finally was able to find it at a reasonable price.  It's called Seasonal Scarecrowes.  I'snt it adorable.  Over the last few years I've had a hard time getting inspired with SU's new line up but I'm so excited today.  This snowman warms my heart.

My colors are Coastal Cabana, designer paper from the Fresh Prints 4 x 6 paper pack, sentment from Good Greetings.  I colored with my Copics and used my nesties scallop oval die cut.  Added a little glitter glue for some sparkle.

My stams a stack went well over the week end and the ladies are well on their way to completing this years Christmas Cards.  Questions are always welcome and if I can help you place your seasonal orders that's a good thing too.  Take care and happy stamping.  WOW the leaves are falling today, guess what I'll be doing soon.

Love This Punch Art Snowman

October 17th, 2014 , 3 Comments »

Hello Folks. . .  Do You Like Punch Art?  I found this little guy on Pinterest and fell in love.  There's not much to him but he will warm your heart.  I'm having a Christmas Stamp A Stack next week-end and made each one of my stampers a tag pouch as a little gift for them.  My pouch is a 4 x 8 regtangle, scored at 4".  I embossed it with our Northern Flurry embossing folder.  The snowman needed a little depth to him, so I sponged a little Marina Mist Ink on the edges and I also sponged some on my pouch for additional depth.  To keep the pouch together I used  5/8" Satin Ribbon.  My sentiment is from the new set called Good Greetings.  I used our Modern Label Punch to dress up my sentiment.  I'll show you the tags in my next post.  Have to keep some surprises.  LOL    TIP:  To make the mouth I punched a 1" circle and used that as my guide.  I used our Basic Black Marker and made two little dots on each end of his mouth so it looks like a heart.  I hope you can see that  I'm waiting for my White Gel Pen to arrive.  I'm thinking about highlighting a few of the dots on the snowflakes.  I think that will make it pop even more.

Thanks for stopping by, This little guy is really worth a little extra effort.  I'm sitting here just smiling at him.  Love snowmen.  If you need supplies please shop in my On Line Web Store.  The link is below.  Questions are always welcome.  Christmas is coming, never too early to start crafting.  Love It.  It keeps me sane.  Take Care Toodles

Tips for Wondrous Wreath

Hello Everyone – hope you are doing well.  One of my favs in the Holiday Mini this year is "Wonderous Wreath"  There are a few tips that you should consider before you start your project.  Photopolymer stamps are a little different.  These stamps can stretch when you apply them to your blocks.  I have found by placing the top of my stamp first and gently letting it fall on your block helps with the stretching.  Make sure you have a large enough block.  Block E is the size you will need for the wreath.  You will need a soft surface like our Paper Piercing Mat or a mouse pad to stamp on.  The soft surface allows for a better image.  Also our new Stampin' Ink Pads work best with these stamps.  I tried and tried and couldn't get a clean image with the old ink pads.  Saves you a lot of fustration.  I know you will love these stamps, you just need to adjust to them, storage is great.  When I get a little time I'm going to reorganize my stamp sets.  I have see page protectors with pockets that you can store you stamps in and put them in a 3 ring binder.  WOW just imagine the storage you can save, you could thumb thru your binder and know exactly what stamps set you already have.  I can't wait.

My colors are Very Vanilla cardbase, Cherry Cobbler, some retired designer paper.  My wreath was stamped with Pistachio Pudding and stamped again with Pear Pizzazz.  My berries are Cherry Cobbler.   The joy was cut using our matching die cut with Glorious Gold cardstock.  One last tip – you will have a fun stamping experience if you have all your products before you start your project.  We all need less stress in our lives.  Just have fun with it.

Thanks for stopping by.  Get started on those Christmas Cards early.  OMG less stress.  LOL  If you have any questions please drop me a line or two.  If you need supplies please shop at on Online Store.  Have a wonderful day   Until next time.  Toodles

The Perfect Little Snowman

October 2nd, 2014 , 2 Comments »

Hello Everyone – I wanted to share this oh so cute digital image that I found the other day.  It's a new release from Wee Stamps and I just fell in love with it.  I think all snowmen are precious and I love all of them.   I've colored two so far using my Copics, one in Mauves and Pinks with Gray and the other with Blues and Grey and a little black for the snowman hat.  I'm going to color a few more of these but I think I like the circle layout the best.  My snowflakes are from Stampin' Ups new set called Holiday Home.  It has a bunch of very small images to coordinate with the home images.  My paper doily was spritzed with some Coastal Cabana Ink.  I had to spray it several times to get the intensity of color that I liked.  My sentiment is also new.  It was a freebie from Stampin' Up for placing a large order.  It's called Good Greetings.  My sayings inside my card are from Wonderous Wreath which is another new set that you can find in our Holiday Mini.  Lots and lots of new stuff in our new mini, be sure and check it out.  I also used a little of our Dazzling Details for that little sparkle that we like on our Christmas Cards.  It's a glitter glue and is so much easier to use that real glittler.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by.  Have fun with this little image and WOW your friends with this cute Christmas Snowman Card.  Need supplies?  Click below for all your Stampin' Up needs.  Take Care.  Toodles

Three Great Stamp Sets Come Together

September 15th, 2014 , 1 Comment »

Hello Folks – Happy Monday to Ya. . .   I have been eyeing these two stamp sets since the release of our new catty in June.  I was finally able to get them so I wanted to share with you.  The sets are Hardwood and Kinda Eclectic.  Hardwwod is a great background stamp.  You will absolutely love it and Kinda Ecletric is just a happy stamp set and can be used for any occasion.  My card color is Crumb Cake and the ink is Early Expresso.  Next layer I used Calypso Coral matted with Whisper Whte.  This color combination was not my original thought.  It's funny how things just evolve isn't it.  My sun was stamped with Daffodil Delight and my leaves are in Garden Green.  My polka dots and a couple of the flowers are inked in Calypso Coral.  My gosh I forgot about the flowers, another stamp set that I have been putting off and finally purchased.  The flowers are from Petite Petals.  It's a great one for layering with many other SU floral stamp sets.  Another great feature is it has its own coordinating punch.  No scissors required !!!!!!!!  I believe my ribbon is retired, Early Express Satin 3/8" inch and I used some sparklely jewels for a little perk me up.

On the inside I decided to make it a birthday card and used old reliable Sassy Salutations and added a coulpe more rows of polka dots.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you liked my card today and I have given you a little inspiration.  Please shop at my online store for all your Stampin' Up supplies.  Have a wonderful day, take care, toodles

Lovely As A Tree Christmas

September 10th, 2014 , 1 Comment »

Hello Folks – It's been a while since we chatted.  I'm sorry about that.  I've been busy designing cards for my Christmas Stamp A Stack.  My first priority is to keep them as simple as possible but still have that WOW factor that everybody loves.  That's challenging for me because I like lots and lots of detail.  But thats not feasable for assembly line card making.  Today I have my first stamp a stack card to share.  I've wanted to use Lovely As A Tree for ever and have just not done it.  So now's the time.  I struggeled over getting some type of skyline until I popped across this card and it's perfect.  For the background I used Work Of Art.  I just love this set.  Several of the stamps are great for giving you great backgrounds.  My color is from the newest In Colors this year Lost Lagoon.  I did stamp off to achieve this lighter color.  My trees are embossed using Black Embossing Power and our Heat Tool.  My sentiment has long retired but so appropriate for the feeling of the scene that I was trying to achieve.  The stamp set is For The Holidays.  For a little razzle dazzle I added just a touch of our Dazzling Details Glitter glue.  I love this stuff, so much easier and so much neater than using glitter.  Glitter gets all over me, makes me itch and I sparkle for days.  Not fun.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed todays card.  The Holiday Mini is in full swing now and there is no better time than now to get started on those Christmas Cards.  I know its hard to be thinking about Christmas just yet but you will feel much better if you don't wait to the last minute.  Been there and done that.  LOL  If I can help with designing or just shopping please drop me an email. I do custom cards if you need me.   I love working with you and being your demonstrator.  Take care now and have a wonderful stamping day.  Toodles

Faux Quilting Using Real Red and Coastal Cabana

July 24th, 2014 , 2 Comments »

Hello Friends.  Hope you are having an exceptional day.

Today I would like to share another Faux Quilting card with you.  I've had it setting around for a while now.  My colors are from a retired paper stack.  I just love these colors together (Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Crumb Cake).  Super dupper don't you think.  I cut a strip of designer paper and made 1.5 inch squares.  I arranged them on my card front and then embossed it with our Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  My stamp set is "From My Heart".  I used Coastal Cabana and Real Red ink.  I stamped my image twice and hand cut my banner using our Paper Snips.  Great scissors by the way.  I used our Circle Framelits and our Window Framelits.  Mounted it with a couple of dimenstionals.  The iside is blank for right now.  I'll add something inside when the time is right.  I just love this technique and I hope you will take the time to try Faux Quilitng.

Thanks for stopping by.   Many of you know that I volunteer for one of our local hosptials.  They have ask me to help them sew some pillows to hand out to surgery patients.  So over the next few months I'll be working on some pillows.  I'm hoping now that convention is over there will be lots of inspiration coming our way.  Demonstrators are know starting to share some of the convention boards with us.  Maybe one day I'll get to a convention.  Besides the cost I've never flown on a plane.  Yes in this day and age it is still something I need to do but I have always had a fear of flying.  I will need someone to hold my hand.  LOL  Take care folks and if you need any Stampin' Up supplies please use my SU web store or contact me to place an order.  I love being your demonstrator.  Send a comment if you like this cute Faux Quilting Technique.  Until next time.  Toodles and Happy Stamping.  P.S.  Be looking for the Holiday Mini.  Release date is Aug 28th.  I hear nothing but good things.  Can't wait!!!
