magnoliainside

Hello Foks – Happy Saturday.  I've been hanging out in my craft room the last couple of days and I decided to try coloring a Magnolia with my copics.  As I always say practice makes perfect right.  I'll keep on trying LOL.  My papers are from the new Stampin' Up In Colors – Dapper Denim, and Pink Flamango.  My desiger paper is also the In Colors from the new Love Blossoms Paper Pack.  I was looking for something differemt for the inside of my card besides just a HB. I went digging and pulled a newer stamp set for me called Birthday Blossoms.  It has a pretty cluster of flowers and some different sentiments.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful stamping day.  Toodles

Hello folks.  It has been a long time since I have shared anything with you.  We have a new baby boy in our family and I have been a little busy.  Today I would like to share a cased card from Pinterest.  I did make a few tweeks to make it my own.  The stamp set is Timeless Textures.  My color palette is Crumb Cake, Pool Pary and Blushing Bride.  I also used our beautiful Butterfly Thinlets and one of our newer Corner Punches.  It has three decorative edges to choose fun.  A fun tool to use.  Our new annual catalog is just about ready to launch (June 1st).  If you are thinking of placing an order please keep me in mind.  I can use any support you can throw my way.  Click Here to place your Stampin' Up order.  Thanks for taking the time and chatting with me.  Have a Happy Memoral Day.  Have fun, be safe and in between all the good BBQ say a little prayer and say thanks to all of our vets.  Toodles

Garden In Bloom Gift Set

July 14th, 2015 , No Comments »

Hello Folks. . .  It's been a while.  Trying to get back in the groove.  Today I have a gift set to share with you.  I found this on Caroline's site a couple of days ago and fell in love with it.  This has been totally cased but you could use any stamp set that you like.  My stamp set is the new Garden in Blloom set.  It is beautful and gives you that watercolor effect without having to work to hard.  This gift  set comes with its own gift box, four all occasion cards with envelopes, four matchig 3 x 3 gift cards and four matching gift tags.  This is a two step stamping technique.  It can be a little challenging as I"m sure you know, but once you figure out how to match the images you're all set to go  For full instructions you can visit Caroline's site here.

I used Whisper White and Soft Sky card stock.  My inks are Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Pistachio Pudding, Pacific Point, Soft Sky, Tangelo Twist and So Saffron.  Whew a lot of colors.  Now for the good stuff, lots of pictures.

springflowerbasket

Hello Folks. . . Hope you are having a wonderful day.  The weather here in St. Charles has been just perfect.  Spring here can be a little loopy at times, so I'm enjoying it while I can.  Today I have a pretty card to share using a little old and a little new.  The basket is from a retired set from some time ago and the new is our Pictogram Punches set with is matching punch  So cute.  My colors were inspired from a card I found on Chat's site "Me My Stamps and I".  The card base is Whisper White, matted with a Melon Mambo and matted again with a piece of designer paper from my stash.  Next is one of our paper doilies, so girlie.  My focal point was stamped on a piece of Solor White card stock inked with Memento Black Ink. This is a good piece of cardstock for when you are using your Copic Markers.  For my basket I used some Copic earth tones (that's the E seires of colors) and for my flowers I used our Classic Stamping Ink Pads in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Coastal Cabana.  My stems are from another retired set called "Happy Together".  Added a little bling for my flower centers.  The sentiment is not SU it is a Verve set.  The ribbon also is retired.

springflowerbsket1I'm using a lot of my retired stamp sets right now.  Kind of in limbo waiting for the new annual catalog to be released.  Thanks for stopping by,  If you are in need of any supplies please shop in my On Line web store.  The link can be found below.  If you have any questions or need any help please drop me a line or two.  Thanks again for coming by and have a wonderful Stampin' Day.

Getting My Flower Fix

April 6th, 2015 , No Comments »

flowerfixHello Folks. . .  Happy Monday.  Hope you all are not too stuffed from all the great food yesterday.

Now that Sale a Bration has ended I'm moving forward.  Stampin' Up will soon be closing out this year and beginning another.  Retired stamps and accessories will be announced at the end of this month.  You will have the month of May to check your wish list.  I'm really looking forward to the start of our new year around June 1st.  Can't wait to see what Stampin' Up has come up with.  I'm a whimsy, flowery type of girl and I'm looking forward to some new stamps.  But today I turned to a couple of old Paper Trey and Verve stamp sets.  This one is a cutie.  I love stamping so I enjoy making my own designer paper.  Isn't it what it is all about after all.

My accessories are Stampin' Ups.  I used our Decorative Label punch for my sentiment and added a few jewels.  My color selection will me greatly missed.  It is our 2013-2015 In Colors (Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush).  If you want any of these, I suggest you place your orders soon.  These colors are beautiful and will sell out fast.  Check the Clearance Rack.  I thought I saw some of them over there.  Don't forget your ink refills so you will have these colors in your stash for some time to come. flowerfix1

I appreciate all you do, so please place your orders at my OnLine Web store.  Click on the link below to place your orders.  I will publish the retired and accessory list as soon as I'm allowed to.  Thanks for stopping by.  My surgery is coming real fast.  Can't wait to get past these issues and get back to normal.  Take care – Toodles

For My Friends

makeastatementverve

Hello Folks. . .  How are you today?  I'm sitting here playing with my card and enjoying the warm weather that we have had the last couple of days.  The grass is turning green, tulips are sprouting, and the yard is ready for the Easter Bunny.

Today I have a card to share that is not Stampin' Up.  This card has been totally cased from Amy at White House Stamping using Verve stamps.  I'm a flowery girl and I love Julie's whimsical style.  I hope you do to.  The set is called "Making A Statement" and has matching dies.  Love it !!!!!  My card base is Whisper White, matted with Blackberry Bliss and matted again with a piece of Wistera Wonder designer paper.  Next layer is Blackberry Bliss and a piece of designer paper.  This came from my stash, not sure what brand or name it is.  The paper doily adds a girly girl touch.  The flowers are colored with my Copics, but you certainly could use Stampin Ups "Blendabilities".  It's so sad that they have had to withdraw these markers from the market. If you have them, use them until they dry up.  Hopefully it will not be to to long unitl they come up with a manufacturer and can offer these unique markers again.

Hopefully over the next couple of weeks I will be getting my bladder issues addressed.  Can't wait to get back to normal. I miss my walking.  Thank you for checking in with me, I know it has been a while since I have posted anything.  Looking forward to Stampin' Ups new catalog.  I sure want to see more whimsy floral stamps. I hope they don't disappoint.  Take care, if you need supplies please check out my link at the bottom of this post.  All orders are greatly appreciated, That's what keeps me going.  Have a wonderful blessed day.

Reminds Me Of Spring – Stampin’ Ups Butterflies Thinlet Die Cut

February 26th, 2015 , 1 Comment »

philwedding

Hello Folks. . .  hope all is well.  I've been keeping myself busy making little thank you gift favors for our Mouse Race fundraiser.  I'm not sure I have mentioned this but my son and his wife have decided to try and adopt.  This is very expensive so we are sponsoring a Mouse Race and hopefully we can help them out.  It's going to be quite a night and I thought it would be nice to say a little thank you for all the support that everyone has given.

Here's a close up of our Butterfly Thinlet

Today I took a break from my boxes to make a wedding card that I need for this weekend.  I was inspired by PaperTrey Ink's make it monday segment.  I took their card layout and used Stampin' Up product.  I don't think we will ever get tired ot butterflies.  Do you? My tag was made with our Scallop Tag Topper and some retired designer paper.  Added a piece of vellum for the softer look, embossed my sentiment with Craft Whisper White and our Heat Embossing Tool.  My focal point of butterflies (3 layers) comes from our new Butterflies Thinlet Die Cut.  It is so delicate and intricate. TIP:  Use wax paper and it will make your crafting experience easier to get all those little pieces cut out.  The bottom left corner was stamped with ramdon stamps from another manufacturer.

Just as a note, Stampin' Up has added four additional products to our Sale A Bration product line.  Check out the flyer below.  There is plenty of time yet to place your $50 order before s/h and you will get to choose a product from this year's brochure/flyer.   This sale is only one time a year and will end on March 31st, so what cha waitin' for let's go shopping.

Saran Wrap Technique

February 11th, 2015 , 1 Comment »

sarantechbloom

Hello Folks. . .  It's been a while since I last chatted with you, hope you're all doing well.  Thank Goodness for Pinterest, it's about the only thing going out there for inspiration.  I came across this card/technique the other day.  Not sure who it belongs too, but I'd like to thank her anyway.

I just love this color combo (Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Real Rd).  I guess that's why I love fall so much.  My card base is a standard A2 card cut at 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2.  Next is a mat of Basic Black, topped off with a piece of Whisper White.  My stamp set is "Bloom With Hope".  I stamped my sentiment first, so I got it in just the right spot, then arranged my flowers around it. Design rule #1 – alwyas stamp in threes.  Next, get yourself three pieces of Saran Wrap, fold in the 4 corners and scrunch. Dab into the lighest color first (CC) and lightly tap all around the outer surface.  Next was another Saran Wrap scrunch and dab with (PP).  Do the same thing until you get the color combo that you like.  For the Real Red part I just dabbed inside the flowers  If you love to dab, make the color combo your own.  The butterfly is from "Papillon Potpouri" with the coordinating punch.  Once again I dabbed my three colors on a strip of WW, then stamed my butterfly and punched it out.  I mounted it on a little piece of dimensional and added a row of small pearls.  Have fun with this Saran Wrap technique.

SAL A BRATION is in full swing and goes until March 31st  For every $50 you spend before s/h you can select a FREE product from our SAB brochure.  Spend $150 or have a workshop and you can purchase the "Bloom With Hope" set.  Stampin Up has so many promotions going on it's hard to keep up, so you can stay informed by CLICKING HERE and go to my SU web store and check out all the deals.  Remember every Tuesday they run substanial dicounts on selected products.  You never know what you can find there.  Just keep checkin' in.

Well thanks for stopping by, I hope I gave you some ideas. If you have any questions or need help shopping, please let me know.  My surgery has been cancelled for the time being, some how I came down with Celluitis on my foot.  Boy that stuff is painful.  I had a hard time walking. Take care and have fun stamping.  Toodles

Another Four Feathers

mossymeadowfourfeathers

Hello Friends . . .  Oh my what a beautiful card.  Thank you Linda Callahan for this wonderful design and color scheme.  It has all the elements – quick, clean and simple.  You have seen this stamp set before, I am simply loving it.  The card base is one of our new in-colors called Mossy Meadow.  Boy, it took me a little while to warm up to this color.  Green is one of my favs but I thought it was a little dark. I was so wrong.  My background is another one of my favs.  It's called Gorgeous Grunge.  It's a great background stamp set.  I love when SU has matching die cuts.  Makes card making to easy and gives us a perfect cut.  I used some retired 5/8" Grossgrain Early Expresso Ribbon, along with a piece of our stretchy gold trim.

mossymeadowfourfeathers1

I added a couple of our neutral candy dots.  I really do like these.   You could use any sentiment that you like.  I was torn between making this a thank you or a birthday.  I ended up using "Celebrate" from our Endless Birthday Wishes.  I guess you could use it for anything you wanted to celebrate.

Some stamp sets and dies have been carried over from our Holiday Mini.  If you would like to purchase this set and matching dies please click here and shop in my online web store  Everyone should know by now that it is Sale A Bration time.  I just wanted to share some of my favorites from the Occasion Catalog and Sale A Bration Brochure.  Here goes.

  • Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  "You and Me" stamp set would make a cute Valentine's card plus they are featuring a coordinated "Confetti Heart Border Punch" that can be used for other layouts.
  • They have a couple embossing folders "hearts","stars" and "floral".  Everybody loves embossing folders.
  • If you love butterflies the "Butterfly Basics" and matching dies comes in a bundle.  You save 15% when you purchase the bundle.  I think this will be popular this spring.  The die cuts are just beautiful with so much detail.
  • If your looking ahead to Easter – "For Peeps Sake" is very cute and whimsy.
  • The spring designer paper and coordinated washi tapes are very pretty.
  • Place a $50 order and select one of the many stamp sets, designer papers from our Sale A Bration Brochure.  It's chocked full of great products.
  • If you wanted to try our new "Blendabilites" there is a whole section of spring colors that you can choose for FREE.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have given you a few ideas. Don't be alarmed if you don't hear from me for awhile.  I will be having some surgergy done soon.  It's not too serious but it is surgery and makes me nervous.  Well take care and if I can help in any way please let me know.  Have a wonderful stamping day.  Toodles
