Getting My Flower Fix
Hello Folks. . . Happy Monday. Hope you all are not too stuffed from all the great food yesterday.
Now that Sale a Bration has ended I'm moving forward. Stampin' Up will soon be closing out this year and beginning another. Retired stamps and accessories will be announced at the end of this month. You will have the month of May to check your wish list. I'm really looking forward to the start of our new year around June 1st. Can't wait to see what Stampin' Up has come up with. I'm a whimsy, flowery type of girl and I'm looking forward to some new stamps. But today I turned to a couple of old Paper Trey and Verve stamp sets. This one is a cutie. I love stamping so I enjoy making my own designer paper. Isn't it what it is all about after all.
My accessories are Stampin' Ups. I used our Decorative Label punch for my sentiment and added a few jewels. My color selection will me greatly missed. It is our 2013-2015 In Colors (Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush). If you want any of these, I suggest you place your orders soon. These colors are beautiful and will sell out fast. Check the Clearance Rack. I thought I saw some of them over there. Don't forget your ink refills so you will have these colors in your stash for some time to come.
I appreciate all you do, so please place your orders at my OnLine Web store. Click on the link below to place your orders. I will publish the retired and accessory list as soon as I'm allowed to. Thanks for stopping by. My surgery is coming real fast. Can't wait to get past these issues and get back to normal. Take care – Toodles

Work Of Art
Hello Friends !!!
OMG when I spotted this card on Sandy MacIver's post I fell in love. This card is me all over, color, swirls and flowers. This is totally cased. I did have to sub my flourish. This is retired from "Priceless". If you need a flourish, "Everything Eleanor" is a good choice. There are two new stamps sets here, "Work of Art" and "Pictogram Punches". PP has a coordinating punch pack.
I sponged Tangelo Twist and Real Red on the background stamp and stamped lightly. Next comes the flourish. My focal point is the flower pot from "Pictogram Punches". I also sponged the flowers with the same colors. The middle flower lays flat and I have dimensionals on the other two. My sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes". I repeated the flourish and flowers on the inside. Leaving it blank for now, probably will be a HB card.
Thanks for stopping by. I enjoyed working on this card. I love being your demonstrator. To place your Stampin' Up order please click on the link below. I love hearing from you, so drop me a line every once in a while. Take Care. Toodles

Faux Tile With Summer Silhouettes
Hello Folks. . . Happy day to ya. Today I have a wonderful technique to share with you. I fell in love when I first came across it. It's called a faux tile technique and is easy to do. This is a standard A2 card in Coastal Cabana (one of our new In Colors this year). I've got some pictures to show you just how easy this is. Here we go!!
Cut your Whisper White layer at 4 x 5 1/4. You will need your SimpleyScored Scoring Tool #122334
and the coordinating Simply Scored Diagonal Plate #125586
Place your paper in the corner with the 4" on top, score down the middle
from corner to corner, score on each side of your middle line at 2 and 4.
Turn your paper with the 5 1/4" side at the top and score
down the middle and on each side at 2 and 4"
Now to make your template do the same thing again and
cut out a "V" on your scored lines
Place your template on each spare and sponge with Coastal Cabana
This is what you will end up with. So so pretty, don't you think.
I used two stamps sets. My leaves and flowers are from Summer Silhouetts #132082/126447 and my sentiment is from a retired set. I needed something that would fit in my tag. The tag is cut with one of our Apothecary Accents Framelites #127003. It is nested on a piece of Coastal Cabana cut again with the Apothecary framelit. I cut the circle off and then cut it down the middle, adhered the top and bottom. I cut a 3/4" circle with our circle punch and placed it behind the tab. I thought it needed a little something else so I stamped a butterfly from Papilion Potpourri#132058/123759 and punched with our coordinating punches. Viola' you have a stunning card.
I hope I didn't confuse you and you're able to make your card with ease. If you have any questions, please email me. If you need product please shop in my OnLine Store 24/7 at the link below.

A Secret Garden Hello
Hello Folks. . . Welcome to SandiesKorner hope you are having a super duper day. Today I would like to share a card with you that was cased from Vicki Burdict at Its A Stamp Thing. I hope you enjoy it. Below I have an itemized list of the Stampin' Up products that I used.
- This was a color challenge card and the colors are So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz. The size is a little bit larger than a normal A2 card It measures 5 x 5
- The first layer is Very Vanilla cut 1/4" smaller (4 34" sq) It is matted with a piece of Pear Pizzazz designer paper from Gingham Garden (129310).
- My pretty ribbon strip is cut to fit my layered piece and was embossed with our Delicate Designers Embossing Folder (127023) using our Big Shot
- My doily is from our Paper Doilies Pack (129399) and topped with our 2 1/2" circle. I sponged it with So Saffron and a sponge.
- My stamp set is retired from an SAB retired set called Swirls and Curls. You can use any saying that you like. My flowers come from Secret Garden with the matching framelits. (So fun when you have coordinating tools and their guranteed to turn out perfect) Love It !!! I colored them with my Copic Markers. If you are not familiar with copics, please use what you are comfortable with (markers with blender pen or watercolor with our watercolor brush). If you choose watercolor please remember that Very Vanilla is one of our thinner sheets of cardstock and will peel on you if you use to much water. It can turn out great with practice
- The leaves are from one of our Little Leaves Sizzlits and attached with glue dots. My flowers are on dimensionals as well.
- Lastly I attached some pretty ribbon. This ribbon is retired.
- I finished off my inside by using another piece of Very Vanilla and I stamped another flower from Secret Garden.
It is a lovely card and I hope I have inspired you to try your hand at one. You will need a larger envelope and our new Envelope Punch Board (133774) is a perfect tool to use for all your envelopes. It makes all sorts of sizes so you will never have to worry that you won't have an envelope for your designer card.
Thanks for stopping by, I love being your demonstrator, so please take a moment to shop in my OnLine Store, open 24/7. Click on the link below and start shopping. Until next time. Happy Stamping – Toodles

Window Technique with Bug Me
Hello Folks. . Hope you are doing well today. I have a very cute card to share today. I was inspired by Mary Brown from StamperCamper on this one. This card uses the window technique. This is were you use your punches to make four openings and then place something cute inside them. Today I used our Potstage Stamp Punch #122344 to make my windows. My stamp set is Bug Me #126577. This little stamp set is so cute and would put a smile on anyone's face especially a toddler. My card base is So Saffron embossed with our Honeycomb Embossing Folder #129378 and measures 4 1/4x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. Next layer is Basic Black and measures 3 1/2" square. Next is my designer paper which is from Polka Dot Parade #126902 and is cut just a tad larger than my window piece which meausres 3 1/4" square.
Mary has a video on her site showing how this window technique is down. It is really very simple. With some scratch paper punch four squares with the Postage Punch (or any punch of your choosing). Next on your 3 1/4" square piece of Whisper White space these pieces out where you want them. I put a little removable adhesive on the back so they would stay in place. Then I punched over them with my postage punch. My little bee was punched out with our 1" circle punch. I added some flair with four black brads and a piece of polka dot ribbon. This card goes together very quickly and is so cute.

Lots of Layers With Aviary
Hello Folks. . Happy Friday to ya and welcome to SandiesKorner. Today I have a card to share that I made a while back. It is using an old MOJO sketch from a couple of weeks ago and my supplies come straight from our current catalog. Sometimes it's nice to just use what products you have on hand, right. After all you paid for them. LOL My basic card base is Whisper White and I embossed it with our Fancy Fan Folder #127751. Next layer is Midnight Muze and a piece of designer paper from Comfort Cafe` #126898. The next layer is another piece of Midnight Muze and another piece of Comfort Cafe`. My stamp set is from the cute set Aviary #120462, lots of bird cages to choose from. My vine came from the set Thoughts and Prayers #127805. My ribbon is the lovely 3/8" Stitch Satin Ribbon – Midnight Muze #126847 and for my punched flowers I used our Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309. As you know I love my tools and these little punches sure know how to dress up a card. Just the right touch without too much bulk. This card can easily be mailed. Oh I think I forgot to mentioned for a little more drama I did sponge Soft Suede Ink all around the edges of the card base. Love the depth this give your card and makes it look more real.
I'm got a few projects that I'm working on right now. I'm still into coloring and I have found some more digi images and I'm practicing with my copies. I have a cute note card set I'll show you soon. I'm looking for a cute box template to make it a complete set and I'm also working on some cards suitable for a Stamp A Stack. Simple is not my middle name so I really have to work on these cards to make them doable at a Stamp A Stack. LOL
Thanks for stopping by. I love being your demonstrator so if you are in need of supplies please shop at the Online Store 24/7. Click here to get started and don't forget about our biggest sale of the year — Sale A Bration— It's the only time you can get FREE stamps sets and accessories for just placing an order of $50 or more and when you do you will also earn one of Sandy's Stars which will get you even more free stuff. Hello Folks. . . Happy Day to ya. OMG today I have a card to share that uses lots and lots of new goodies. Love it !!!!!!!!
My card base is Whisper White, matted with a piece of our New In-Color Summer Starfruit. Can you decide if its green or yellow? I think it has a little of both properties. LOL Next layer is a piece of cardstock Raspberry Ripple another new In Color and on top of that is a piece of designer paper from the Comfort Cafe' designer pack #1266898. To separate the two colors I used a piece of our new 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon Gumball Green #126848.
My stamp set is the ever cute Embellished Events (W126495/C126497). It is stamped in Gumball Green and topped with one of our new embellishments. The new In Color Dahlias #127556. This little flower caught my eye right from the beginning. I'm so excited to use them.
My sentiment is from a new set called Itty Bitty Banners (W126255/C126257) and to make it easy we have a matching die cut called Bitty Banners Framelits #129267. Don't you just love it when Stampin Up coordinates matching cool tools.
OMG I almost forgot to mention another die cut Delicate Doilies Sizzlits #126999. It's part of my focal point, how could I leave it out. This delicate doily is just the perfect size and matches the Adorning Accents Edgelits #125595.
I hope I have not confused you with all the new toys that I used on this card. There are lots of them. I just couldn't wait to get my hands on all of these so I combined them into one card. Don't you love it.

Happy Day Square Scallop Card
Hello Folks. . . Happy Tuesday. Open House was a big success, we all had fun and everyone went home with lot of goodies. A big thanks goes to all who attended.
Today I have a card to share that uses our new Designer Paper Comfort Cafe' #126898. I really like the square scallop look of this card. It's something different. Here's how it's done. I cut a piece of Whisper White at 5.5 x 11 and scored at 5.5. Then I used our Big Shot #113439 and our Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die Cut #115950. Put your fold just below the top scallop and run thru the Big Shot. Then I took another piece of WW and cut another Scallop Square and adhered it to the front of my card. Next is a piece of dp from Comfort Cafe' ( I hope to have new dp to show soon). For a little pizzazz I used my sewing machine and put a running stitch all around. Next is a nestie Lacy Die. With the release of the new catty you will find several new scallop circles like our new Delicate Doilies Sizzlits on pg 191. My image is the pretty flower from Betsy's Blossoms (W126004/C126006). Love it!!!!!! My sentiment is from Friendly Phrases (W126149/C126151). I used some Rose Red Seam Binding #121884 for my bow and attached a random button with some White Bakers Twine #124262. The image is stamped with one of our New In Color Foam Pads, Midnight Muze #126860. I There is no doubt that you get a crisper, cleaner stamped image with less pressure. WOW!! know thinking about changing out your old ink pads to the new ones is a little daunting, but boy you will love them.
I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do. This flower from Besty's Blossoms is going to be one of my favorites. I also used some of our Rhinestones #119246 for some added sparkle. Our rhinestones are the best.
