Water Coloring

Hello folks. . .  I have another sweet card to share wth you today.  Again I am using the new Hostess Set "Bloom With Hope" that will be available June 2nd with a $150 order.

This set is chocked full of great line images that are easy to color.  This time I changed up my color technique and used our Aqua Pen and watercolored with our reinkers.  Card stock is Whisper White, matted with a designer piece of paper from a retiring paper pack (Melon Mambo).  Next layer is Pear Pizzazz with another small piece of designer paper of the same color.  My focal point was inked with our new Memento Black Ikn Pad.  This ink is quick drying and perfect for watercoloring or using ou new "Blendabilities".  Let it dry completely and there is no smearing. For best results when watercoloring use our "Watercolor Paper".  It will blend colors effortlessly.  I die cut a couple of scallop circles and added some Linen Thread and a pretty Button from our "Very Vintage Collection".  I try not to use two many raised embellishments because it can be a hassel to try and mail.  When I do try and mail these I make sure my card front is facing the back of the envelope and I put a protective layer of simple card stock for protection.  I've never had anyone tell me that the card was damaged in the mailing process.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope this gives you just another way to use your line images.  Don't let coloring intimidate you.  Just Go For It !!!!  Have fun and until next time.  Toodles

Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss

Hello Folks. . . Today I'm featuring one of our new Hostess Sets from the new catalog available on June 2nd.  The set is called "Bloom With Hope".  It's a line image set so it works beautifully with our new "Blendabilities".

My cardbase is one of our new In-Colors called "Hello Honey".  I matted it with another new color "Blackberry Bliss".  Very rich colors indeed.  My designer paper is another sneek peek of a 4.5 by 6.5 inch palette of paper using our new In Colors.  It's called "Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack".  I used our Oval framelits and matted them on one of our paper doilies.  I colored in my image with the "Daffodil Delight Assorment Blendablities" and used some of the new In Color 3/8" Blackberry Bliss Satin Ribbon.  Unfortunately the "Blendabilities" will not be available on June 2nd.  I will let you know on the availability as soon as I have some info.  Stampin' Up has a video showing you how easy it is to use the new Blendabilites".  Be sure and check it out.

There's still time to place your orders from the Retired Stamp and Accessories Lists.  This will end on May 31st.  Supplies are limited.

Thanks for stopping by.  If I can answer any questions please let me know.  Softball has started, so the whirl wind of tournaments have begun.  I so look forward to these. Kourtney will be graduating soon and moving on so I am enjoying every minute I can.   Have a wonderful stamping day.  Until next time.  Happy Stamping !!!!!  Toodles

Hello Folks. . .  Stampin' Up has a new buzz word "Blendabilities".  For those of you that don't know they are alcohol markers with a brush and marker tip.  Alcohol markers are unique.  They are streak free.  No need to worry, you can fill in large areas with no streaks and blend shadows hence the name "Blendabilities".  They come in a set of three coordinating colors (light, medium and dark) and with a little practice you can become and expert in coloring your images.  You will need a back ink pad that will not smear, so with the new catty you will be able to purchase a Memento Ink Pad and refill.  Stampin' Up is also recommending using our beautifully smooth Whisper White card stock.  Be sure and stock up.

Today I have a beautiful card to share using these unique products.  As a demonstrator we get to have a sneek peek at the new products that will become available on June 2nd.  So I got to play.  My card base is Whisper White, matted with a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock and a new color from out new In Colors called Hello Honey.  Next layer is one of our paper doilies topped with a couple of die cut circles.  My flowers are from Secret Garden cut with their matching framelits and my sentiment is from "Petite Pairs".

My best advise in learning to shade your images is to start with your darkest color and work your way to your lightest color.  Practice makes perfect so don't get discouraged.  My colors are from the Coastal Cabana and the Daffodil Delight "Blendabilities".  For a little more drama I used some of our Pearls.

On the inside I have "Happy Birthday" from our "Perectly Pinned" set that is retiring in May.

I sure hope you will give these markers a try.  Like I said above they are packaged in a set of three (Light, Medium and Dark) at a very affordable price of $11.95.  They are not refillabe and the brush tip is made from nylon and will not fray.  With normal use they will last you a good long time.  Have patience with them and before long you will be coloring like a pro.  If you have any questtions please drop me a line.  Remember these are not available till the release of our new Annual Catalog on June 2nd.  Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful stamping day. I need to do somemore coloring.  LOL  Until next time.  Toodles

Happy Watercolor With Sweet Sorbet

IF YOU LIKE something a little different, then my card today will fit the bill.  Today I have a rectangle card to share with you.  Whisper White card stock cut at 6.0 x 6.5, score on the 6.5 side at 3 and 6.  That leaves you a 1/2" tab to secure your card closure.  Next is a piece of Sweet Sorbet paper matted with another piece of Whisper Whte.

My stamp set today is Happy Watercolor (w) 133188 (c) 133191 found in the Occasion Mini  I know you think I'm stuck on these colors but they are so pretty.  Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantalope and Pistachio Pudding.  My flower is from Flower Shop (w) 130939 (C) 130942 and it's matching punch #130698.  I stamped it on a piece of vellum in Craft Whisper White Ink and embossed it the our heat gun.  Attached it with a white brad.

My inside was stamped with a retired sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by, I would love to be your demonstrator for all you Stampin' Up needs.  The new catalog is coming soon.  Take care and have a wonderful stamping day.  Toodles

A Gorgeous Grunge Thank You

Hello Folks. . .  we had a beautiful week-end here in St. Charles.  Had a very busy three days – painting and yard work.  Feels great getting things accomplished.

Today I have a quick, clean and simple thank you card to share.  I wanted to send a pretty card and thank the Hospial Auxiliary for the wonderful welcoming breakfast that they had for the new volunteers.  My card is 4 3/4 x 5 1/2" inches scored at 3 3/4.  Standard Note Card size.  I'm enjoying the new In Colors.  Crisp Cantalope and Coastal Cabana are such great spring and summer colors.  My stamp set is Gorgeous Grunge (w) 130514 (c) 130517.  My sentiment is from a retired set, not sure what the name of it is.  Looking for something different I choose a shape from the Apothecary Accents Framelit Collection #127003.  Added some Early Espresso and sponged around the edge for a little depth.  My flower is paper and not an SU product

Retired stamps and accessories are going fast.  I placed my first sneek peek pre order from the new cataog.  Get ready for some exciting new stamp sets and accessories.

Thanks for stopping by, thanks for all your support.  My site is having some technical difficulties.  Images that where previsously posted are no longer there.  I'm sure it's human error and I will get in touch with my technical support and see if I can't get them back.   To place your Stampin' Up order online please click on the link below.  Have a wonderful stamping day.  Until next time.  Toodles

So Long Betsy’s Blossoms

Hello Folks

Let's Do a Little Reminiscing.  I have been inspired by a fellow demonstrator – Sany MacIver – and this weeks MOJO sketch.  What a great combo.  I'm using a couple of retired Stampin' Up sets called "Betsy's Blossoms" and "Best Yet".  My butterfly is "Papillon Potpouri"  # 123759 and it is still current along with its coordinating punch.

My color combo is Baked Brown Sugar, Basic Black and Coastal Cabana.  The designer papers are from "Modern Medley" and "In Color Designer Series Pack".  For a touch of pizzazz I added some Glitter Glue and Candy Dots.

Thanks for stopping by, I  hope I have inspired you.  Retired stamps and accessories are going fast.  Only available while supplies last.  Have a great day and happy stamping.  If I can help please let me know.  Until next time.  Toodles
