Moving Forward Juvenile/Toddler Card

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Day To Ya.  Today I have a very cute card to share using a retired set "Moving Forward"  I was inspired by a video I watched on another site.  It was not a Stampin' Up site so I switched it out to use all Stampin' Up products.  My card base is More Mustard, boy it has been a while since I have used this color.  Pretty don't you think?  My next layer is Night of Navy and my third layer is Whisper White.  My inks are Night of Navy and More Mustard with a touch of Pumpkin Pie.  To do the sun, cut out a template with a circle punch or die cut.  Secure you card down with some removalbe adhesive and place your template in the upper left hand corner.  Be sure and off set it so it appears to be peaking down at you.  Next sponge around the circle with a sponge daubler.  For the rays, I used a piece of WW cut at approx. 1 inch by 6 inches and started making my rays. I applied a little more pressure at the top and then eased up towards the bottom.  Space over a little each time and keep going until you get all the way around your circle.  My water is Coastal Cabana and punched with our Ribbon Punch, my designer paper is from a retired paper pack, the ribbon is Night of Navy 3/8 wide and my sentiment is from another retired set All Year Chear III.  They are nested on a couple of squares cut using my nestabilities.  The heart was an after thought.  I used our Owl Punch and attched with a small piece of dimensional.  The inside sentiment is another retired birthday phrase.

My thoughts on this card was to create a fun juvenille/toddler type of card. I even thought it would look cute to have the age cut out and placed in the top left corner but I'll wait on that until I get ready to use it.

Year End Close Out Sale

Hello Friends – hope all is well and you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas.  We are having a wonderful day here in MO, the temp is over 50 degrees.  I can take many many more of days like this.

Our year end close out is in full swing.  If you would like to check out some great deals please click here.

I'm trying to concentrate on making some birthday cards.  I have a couple relative birthdays coming up and they always like to have a stack of cards.  I used two versatile stamp sets  "Work of Art" and "Four Feathers".  When Four Feathers was released I must admit it didn't catch my eye.  But boy oh boy I was so wrong.  These two sets are just wonderful.  Work of Art is a wonderful set to display your creativity and Four Feathers is just a great all occasion set to have around.  A lot of us struggle with masculine cards and this is a great set for that.

This is one of those cases where a single layered card can make such a WOW statement.  It's made easy with these two sets.  I used four ink colors – Island Indigo (stamped off four times) to get my background, Early Expresso for some depth, Hello Honey and Tempting Turquoise.  Used the matching framelits for easy cut out and added a button with a pretty twine bow for a little pizzazz.  My sentiments all came from Endless Birthday Wishes.  On the inside I used an ol' faithful the ever versatile "Sassy Salutations".

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will visit again soon.  The New Occasion Catalog and Sale A Bration Brochure will be released on Jan 6th.  For you new folks, every $50 purchase before shipping and handling you can select a FREE product from the Sale A Bration Brochure.  Now is a great time to check out your wish list and recieve some free products.  Click below to place your order in my Online Store.  I truly appreciate all you do.  Until next time have a wonderful stamping day.  Toodles

French Fry Gift Box

Helo Folks. . .  Hope you're keeping up with all the hussle and bussle of the season.  Here is a cute little French Fry Gift Box.  You can make this any size.  Mine is small (6 x 6 square)  just perfect for a Secret Santa or Teacher Gift.  I used various Christmas themed designer paper and a stamp set called "Sparkley and Bright".  It has been retired for several years.  I use it often, it fits nicely in our Circle Punches.  Here's a few instructions.  If you still have trouble folding this you can google "french fry box" and come up with several videos.

First take your 6 x 6 inch square and fold it corner to corner,
then take the top piece and fold it down
matching it to the bottom forming a triangle,

Take the triangle you just made and put it
back flush with your top corner., Then take
the right hand side and match it to the fold
mark you just made.

Place some adhesive on the bottom of your triangle and fold it over to the
right side.  Crease all your folds with a bone folder..

Take a deep breath you're almost there.  Bring the top
piece and fold it down.  Use sticky tape to hold this down.
Decorate as you wish.  Oh one more thing I did pinch up the bottom
to make it look just like a french fry box.

I hope this didn't confuse you too much.  Like I mentioned you can google this for a visual.  Thanks for stopping by.  I truly appreciate all your support.  I'll wish you Merry Christmas now just in case I don't get back here before then.  To place your orders please click on the link below.  Stampin' Up has several promotions going on right now as the end of the year close outs.  Click here to see if any of them are for you.  Remember – Sale A Bration is coming soon along with our new Occastion Catalog,  FREE products, you can't beat that.  Take Care Toodles

Four Feather and Matching Die Cut

Hello Folks. . .  hope all is well. Today I have a unique card to share.  I'm using one of our newer stamp sets called "Four Feathers".   This set is a great all occasion stamp set and I love it.  Today's colors are Coastal Cabana, Basic Grey and Whisper White.  I used one of our embossing folders "Decorative Dots" on my Basic Grey piece.  Full of texture don't you think. My focal point is a 2 x 4 piece of WW.  I used our Scallop Tag Punch and tied a piece of Basic Grey Satin Ribbon to it.  I wanted to use our Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp Set.  It has a whole host of great words to use.  My idea was for the word Celebrate to stand out, so I placed it in a spot so you can see the whole word.  My feathers are CC and BG.  This stamp set has a coordinating die cut.  So quick and easy to make perfect feathers.  I added a pretty button with stripped twine to finish off the grouping.  You know the design rule is to work in threes, whether working with paper or house decorating.  On the inside I used Happy Birthday from Sassy Salutations.  It has such a whimsy font, one of my favs.

I hope you enjoyed my card and don't forget to take advantage of our Extravaganza Sale that runs till Dec. 2nd.   As much as 50% off on selected products.  I'm excited tomorrow is my day to start prepping for Thanksgiving Dinner.  Everyone have a great Thanksgiving.  Gobble Gobble Take Care until next time.  Toodles

A Special Christmas Gift

Hello Folks. . .  hope you all are doing well and staying warm.  It has been very cold here but it looks like we will be warming up this weekend but along with it brings some rain.  God Bless those poor people in Buffalo, NY.  Can't imagine being snowed in like that.

Today I have a cute little gift idea to share with you.  I found these on the internet the other day.  I will be hosting our neighborhood Bunco group next month and I always like to have a special gift for them.  These are perfect.  Here's is how I made these.

Box base is cute at 2 x 4 1/4 inches made wih Cherry Cobler.  I used our Scallop Tag Punch to make the back panel of my box. Next is a 3 x 4 piece of Cherry Cobbler scored on the 4" side at 1/2, 1, 3 and 3 1/2.  Turn and score at 1/2 and 1.  Crease your folds good and cut out your tabs.  I used sticky tape to attach to the back of my box.  It is embellished with a little Crumb Cake, Designer Series Paper from our Trim a Tree Paper Pack and Whisper White.  The stamp set is our Festival of Trees inked in Gumball Green.  I used our coordinating punch to punch out the trees.  You can save a little $$ by purchasing this as a Bundle.  This Bundle can be found in the Holiday catalog on page 24.  I added some of our Linen Thread and a Candy Dot.  Inside I made a little confetti and inserted a Hershey's Miniature Candy Bar. These would be great teachers gifts.

This is what the front box looks like

Polar Express (Retired)

Hello Folks. . .  I've got another oldie but goodie.  I was so excited to share this card with you and then the blog went  hay wire.  So here we go.  I've been looking for this stamp set for a couple of years now.  I'm so happy that I was finally able to find it.

Actually there is not much to it, but simple is sometimes better.  My card stock is Coastal Cabana.  I used a couple of different designer papers.  My image is stamped on Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.  There's not a whole lot of room for detailed shadowing so just color and have fun.  I added some sparkle with Dazzing Details,  So much easier than glitter.  I haven't decided what to put on the inside yet.  It coud be added to my Christmas Card Stash or made into a winter birthday.

Thanks for stopping by.  Need Supplies.  My Online Web Store is open 24/7 just click on the link below.  Just in case I don't get back here I would like to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Turkey day is almost here.  I can smell all that heavenly food coming from my kitchen already.  Until next time.  Toodles

Fall Fun and a Little Fund Raising

Hello Folks. . .  Sorry for being MIA for so long.  Was having blog technicalities.  Happens every once in a while.  Meanwhile I was busy.  This is my favorite time of the year for crafting.  I volunteer at the local hospital a couple days a week.  This week is our big Extravaganza.  It's one of our biggest fund raisers for the year.  I love to bake so I volunteered to make some Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies (oh so yummy!!!).  I needed something to put them in that was easy for the volunteers to sell plus I wanted a WOW factor.  This is what I came up with.

I cut a 12 x 12 piece at 5.5 x 10 and scored down each side at 1/2 inch.  Then I tunred it and scored at 5" to create a pocket.  Then I just decorated it with a fall theme.  The pumpkin is one of my favorite punch art techniques.  I used our 1 3/4" oval punch, sponged around the edges with Early Expresso and used a retired sentiment.  My ribbon is our retired 1 1/4" Stripped Ribbon.  So sorry to see it gone it ties like butter.  This is a great way to use some of your designer paper and buy some more.  LOL

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
These are going in the cute pocket holders

Thanks for sticking with me, I hope you enjoyed todays project.  If you need supplies please shop at my Online Web Store.  Have a great stamping day.  Until next time.  Toodles

Retired Seasonal Scarecrowes

Hello Folks. . . hope all is well.  I guess you guys have noticed that I'm using a lot of retired stamp sets lately.  Today is no different.  I've been looking for this set for some time and I finally was able to find it at a reasonable price.  It's called Seasonal Scarecrowes.  I'snt it adorable.  Over the last few years I've had a hard time getting inspired with SU's new line up but I'm so excited today.  This snowman warms my heart.

My colors are Coastal Cabana, designer paper from the Fresh Prints 4 x 6 paper pack, sentment from Good Greetings.  I colored with my Copics and used my nesties scallop oval die cut.  Added a little glitter glue for some sparkle.

My stams a stack went well over the week end and the ladies are well on their way to completing this years Christmas Cards.  Questions are always welcome and if I can help you place your seasonal orders that's a good thing too.  Take care and happy stamping.  WOW the leaves are falling today, guess what I'll be doing soon.
