A Secret Garden Hello

Stampn Up Secret Garden Birthday Envelope Punch Board Holiday Catalog

Hello Folks. . .  Welcome to SandiesKorner hope you are having a super duper day.  Today I would like to share a card with you that was cased from Vicki Burdict at Its A Stamp Thing.  I hope you enjoy it.  Below I have an itemized list of the Stampin' Up products that I used.

  • This was a color challenge card and the colors are So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.  The size is a little bit larger than a normal A2 card  It measures 5 x 5
  • The first layer is Very Vanilla cut 1/4" smaller (4 34" sq)  It is matted with a piece of Pear Pizzazz designer paper from Gingham Garden (129310).
  • My pretty ribbon strip is cut to fit my layered piece and was embossed with our Delicate Designers Embossing Folder (127023) using our Big Shot
  • My doily is from our Paper Doilies Pack (129399) and topped with our 2 1/2" circle.  I sponged it with So Saffron and a sponge.
  • My stamp set is retired from an SAB retired set called Swirls and Curls.  You can use any saying that you like. My flowers come from Secret Garden with the matching framelits.  (So fun when you have coordinating tools and their guranteed to turn out perfect)  Love It !!!  I colored them with my Copic Markers.  If you are not familiar with copics, please use what you are comfortable with (markers with blender pen or watercolor with our watercolor brush).  If you choose watercolor please remember that Very Vanilla is one of our thinner sheets of cardstock and will peel on you if you use to much water.  It can turn out great with practice
  • The leaves are from one of our Little Leaves Sizzlits and attached with glue dots.  My flowers are on dimensionals as well.
  • Lastly I attached some pretty ribbon.  This ribbon is retired.
  • I finished off my inside by using another piece of Very Vanilla and I stamped another flower from Secret Garden.
  • Stampin Up Secret Garden Birthday

It is a lovely card and I hope I have inspired you to try your hand at one.  You will need a larger envelope and our new Envelope Punch Board (133774) is a perfect tool to use for all your envelopes.  It makes all sorts of sizes so you will never have to worry that you won't have an envelope for your designer card.

A Christmas Collage Using a Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

Stampin Up Chrstmas Collage Holiday Mini

EDIT:  didn't like the leaves, so still work in progress.

Happy Saturday To Ya.  Oh my, today I have a very special Christmas card to share with you.  One night this week I couldn't sleep so I was up flicking thru the TV channels and came across one of the shopping channels  They were featuring Anna Griffith and her products.  If you know Anna you will also know that she has lovely floral designer papers and is a master at Collage.  I have always loved Collages but  Have never felt that I have quite mastered it.  Today card is inspired by one of her layouts.  Of course I have used Stampin' Up only products.   My color combo is Coastal Cabana, Silver, Whisper White and Island Indigo.  I have used one of our embossing folders Northern Flurry #120902 on my first layer.  Next is our Glittery Silver paper and to cut it out I used our Scallop Circle Bigz die #113468.  It's the largest scallop that we have.  I also made a lolly from our new designer paper Winter Frost Specialty Paper #132341 from our Holiday Mini.  My lolly is just one strip, 12" long and 1 1/4" wide and scored every 1/4 inch.  I did use hot glue to keep it together.  I punched two snowflakes from one of our retired punches, added a little dazzle with some Rhinestone Jewels #119246.  In the right hand corner I  stamp and punched an ornament from our retired set called Christmas Tags, added a few leaves from our Little Leaves Sizzlits #114511.  And lastly I stamped a Christmas Greeting from Petite Pairs #128706/122497.

I know this is a lot of layers but don't let it intimidate you, just take it layer by layer and use what you have.  This is a special card to give to someone special.  I hope you enjoyedmby take on some Collage layouts.  If you have any questions please let me know.  I can be reached here.

Thanks for stopping by.  If your are in need of any products please take a moment and shop at my Online store  Christmas is not that far away and we need to focus on our Christmas Cards.  Until next time, have a wonderful stamping day!!  Toodles

Stampin' Up Gently Falling Birthday Holiday Catalog

Stamping Up Gently Falling Birthday Holiday Catalog

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Day to you.  Today I have a monochromatic card to share with you.  What is that you say?  It is several shades of the same color.  In this case I'm using shades of Gray (Basic Gray, Smoky Gray and Basic Black).  My designer paper is from Sweater Weather #132184).  You can find it in our Holiday Mini.  For my focal point I used a neutral Very Vanilla.  I think it gives it a softer look.  My layout is another great MOJO Sketch from last week.  My main stamp set is Gently Falling #128430/123804.  Next I used Gorgeous Grunge #130514/130517 for my splatter and last but least I used Itty Bitty Banners #132022/126257 along with it's matching framelits Bitty Banners #129267.    You know my motto, "You Can't Have Enough Cool Tools" in your arsenal .  Love It !!!!  My ribbon is one of our 1/4" Stitch Grosgrain Ribbons "Basic Gray".  For my inside I used a retired stamp set for my verse and again stamped one of the leaves from Gently Falling.  The inside turned out as good as the front, don't you think?

Be sure and take a peek at our CLEARANCE RACK, Stampin' Up just put some new products our there.  Check it regularly for the best deals in town.

Quick and Easy Post It Note Holder

Stampin' Up Gift Idea Post I Note Holder Magnetic Platform Hoiday Catalog

Hello Folks. . .  Happy day to you.  Today I have a cute gift idea for you.  I came across this idea one day browsing the net and thought it was too cute to pass up.  I think it will be one of my craft fair items.

FYI . .  The magnetic platform that was on back order will now be available on Sept. 12th.  Item Number #130659.  I've heard nothing but good things about it.  So much easier to align you frameilits.  Just remember it does have a strong magnetic pull so keep it away from any of your electronics.

For my little post it note holders I used some our of designer papers.  This is a good project to use some of your retired papers.  For the base you will need on full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock.  I have the dimensions below.  For you visual people (like me) here is the link for a video that will show you how it's done.

From your sheet of card stock cut:

  • One piece to 3 1/8 by 9 1/2, score at 3 1/2, 7, 8 and 9.  This is your note pad base
  • Cut one piece of designer paper 3 1/8 by 1 1/2 for the top of your note holder (the 9 1/2 piece)
  • Cut one piece of designer paper 3 1/8 by 2 1/4 for the front of your note pad
  • Cut two pieces of designer paper 3 1/8 x 1 1/4 for you scallop edges

This is easy peasy, you will find the video very helpful, it is from a blog site called Classy Crafters

Thanks for stopping in, I bid you a great stamping day.  Any questions be sure and email me and of course I would like your comments.  If you have anything you would like to particularly see let me know.  Until next time.  Toodles

Bring On The Cake Birthday MOJO Sketch Holiday Catalog Envelop Punch Board                      Stampn Up Bring On The Cake Birthday Holiday Catalog

Hello Folks. .   Welcome to the week-end.  Today I have this weeks MOJO Sketch to share with you using two of our new In-Colors, Crisp Cantaloupe and Brown Sugar.  I really like this one, it turned out very soft and pretty using Very Vanilla as my card base..  It is a standard A2 card cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  My next layer is a piece of Brown Sugar designer paper from our Designer Series Paper Stack #130136.  Our next layer is two rectangles one at 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 and nested with a piece of VV.  I used one of our new embossing folders from our annual catalog called Alphabet Press #130916.  It's great for birthday cards.  My other rectangle is a little smaller 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 with another piece of designer paper from out paper stack.  My flag is yet another piece of designer paper cut  1/2 wide.  My next layer is the nesting circle, make them any size according to the stamp set you use.   I used our birthday cake from Bring On The Cake on pg 14 #128490/121958, my flower is Betsy's Blossoms #131955/126006.  I added a piece of retired ribbon and added  a little sparkle from our Jewels Collection.

Stampin' Uph as a whole host of promotions right now.  Click on my web store page and view all the specials that we have going on right now.  You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful week-end and be sure to get some ink on your fingers.  I'm working on Christmas Cards right now.  It will be here before we know it.  LOL  To place an order please click on my link below and have fun shopping.  Give this color combo a go, it is very soft and could easily be made into a vintage style by sponging the edges if that's your thing.  If you have any questions, I'm just an email away.  Take care and until next time.  Toodles

Gift Bags For All Occasions and Our New Envelope Punch Board

Stampin Up Gift Bags Envelope Punch Board Holiday Catalog

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Day To You.  Stampin' Up has a brand new product for you, it's our Envelope Punch Board #133774.  It will make just about any size envelope that you will ever need.  It is very easy to use and sells for just $19.95.  Be sure and put this on your Christmas Wish List.

I have another craft fair item to share with you today.  I have been working on these for the last several days and I think they turned out super cute.  I took a while gift bag (from a box store) and put a strip of designer paper and coordinating card stock from edge to edge.  It is approximately 8" across.  I used our handy dandy Scallop Trim Border Punch #118402 for my decorative top edge.  I wanted something quick and easy for my focal point.  I took out 7 to 8 paper doilies and scrunched them up, put a brad in the middle and viola' you have an adorable paper flower with scallop edges.  Next I need some color, so I took one of our Misters, filled it half way with tap water and added 10 drops of Ink refills.  The pink is Strawberry Slush, the blue is Coastal Cabana.  I needed something green for the leaves and this was the perfect opportunity to use my new Gift Bow Bigz Die Cut #129977 from the Holiday Mini.  It was quick and easy.  To hold it firmly in place I decided to insert a brad before I attached the outer strip.  Then I used various sentiments (Sassy Salutations #126707 and a single new Stamp called Merry).
