It’s A Girl with Embellished Events

SUO Baby Card Embellished Events Spring Catalog Sale a Bration

Embellished Events (126495/126497)

Hello Folks.  Happy Monday and welcome to SandiesKorner.  I was in need of a baby shower card for next week, so this is what I have to share today.  I know it's a girl so I needed something pink right.  My card base is Whisper White, topped with a piece of Pretty In Pink and Certainly Celery.  Thats a combo I haven't used in a while.  LOL  We always have to start with a sketch first, so I choose a previous MOJO sketch.  Next was my designer paper, I don't have a lot of PIP paper and then it dawned on me to use our Designer Series Paper Pack.  My CC layer was embossed with our hearts embossing folder (just gotta have that dimension.)  It's a small embossing folder so I used is twice, one on top and one on the bottom.   There's lot of layers on this card, if its too many for you, you can delete one, but I like as many layers as I can get I think it makes the card look exceptional.  If you follow me regularly you know I don't like empty white space, so I used our Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder to take it up a notch.  For my focal point I used the cute rubber duckie in the stamp set Embellished Events.  Inked it with PIP and CC. on a piece of Whisper White.  I used markers for this.  Sponged CC around my 2" circle and again used our Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder to carry my theme forward.  I then mounted that on a piece of PIP and die cut it with our Window Frames Collection Framelits.  My sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners and I used its coordinating framelit on it.  I just love when I can do that.  Added some pretty pearls and viola' you have a baby card.  I hope it puts a smile on her face.

I hope you are enjoying our Spring Catalog and this years Sale A Bration.  You know its our biggest sale of the year.  I hope you have been able to enjoy some of our FREEBIES.  If you would like to place an order please considering using my Stampin' Up On Line Store Click here and start shopping now, we're open 24/7 or you can email me if you prefer at handysandyanmurf@yahoo.com .  For every $50 you spend you can choose a FREE accessory from our SAB brochure.  If you still need one please let me know I have some on hand.  I also do custom orders and most of my cards that you see are for sale.  So don't be shy, contact me.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope I have inspired you to get some ink on those fingers.  It's great fun.  Until next time.  Toodles

A Special Ease Card Using Print Poetry DP

Elements of Style and Itty Bitty Banners Birthday Copic Markers

Good Morning Folks. . .   hope you are doing well this morning.  Today I have a very special card to share.  It's an easel card and they can be dressed up or down as much as you like.  Easels come in all shapes and sizes (splitcoaststampers has a tutorial).  Mine this morning is a 4 1/4 x 8 1/2.  My card base is Very Vanilla.  My image is a couple of puppies and I colored them with my copics.  It has lots and lots of layers.  That's the fun part about easels you can put as much into them as you want.  I was inspired by a card that I found while browsing on the Europeon Copic Site using this same image.  Most of my supplies are from Stampin' Up.  I used one of our new doilies and designer paper from the Spring Catalog.  The DS is the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Pack.  I love this paper and of course there is never enough of it in one designer pack.  Each sheet is 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 and there are four (4) sheets each.  Oh so pretty.  My sentiment comes from Elements of Style and the HB is from Itty Bitty Banners.  My rose is a paper flower bought at a big box store but you could make your own.  I used lots of punches to give my card dimension and some pretty 3/8" Early Expresso Taffeta Ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed todays card, its one of those that are hard to turn loose of.  I have it on my desk so I can just look at it.  We card makers are characters, I enjoy just having them close by.

I do make custom cards, so if you would like for me to make one for you, just drop me a line or two.  I had fun making this one.

That's is for today, I'm off to my orientation this afternoon.  I hope to be volunteering at our local hospital soon.  If you are in need of some great Stampin' Up Supplies you know where to shop.  Just click here and get started.  Our biggest sale of the year is still going strong so why not take advantage and get some FREE Stampin' Up products to boot.  We have a pretty nice selection in this years Sale A Bration Brochure.

Everybunny Is Coming to Town

SUO Eater Card Everybunny Sale A Bration Spring Catalog

Hello Folks. . .  Spring is in the air, can you feel it?  I've got tulip bulbs trying to sprout.  I've never had tulips this early.  They started sprouting back in early Dec. and then we had a cold spell.  This weather is wacky.

Now that Valentines has moved on, I have started thinking about Easter.  It's not a holiday that I normally make a lot of cards for, but maybe this year will be different.  My cardbase is Tempt. Turquoise and it is matted with three separate designer papers.  Two of them come from the designer pack Flurtatious (ret) and the stripes are from our Brights Designer Paper Pack.  My stamp set is called Everybunny (122705/122707).  I'm still practicing with my Copics.  The sky was done with TT chalk and a que tip.  I used a couple of my Oval Nesties.  The pretty TT doily was cut with our Delicate Doiles Sizzlit.  Patience is a virtue with this sizzlit, it takes a little time to pop all the insides out.  So pretty though, don't you think.  My sentiment comes from A Word For You (117032/120528) and was die cut with out Bitty Banners Framelits (129267).  Nothing special for the inside, I used a retired flower with some Pink Pirouette to give a little character and my Easter sentiment is from Well Scripted with is also retired.  To complete it I added some Dazzling Diamonds and a TT Ribbon.

I hope I have inspired you to make some Easter cards.  Thanks for stopping by, if you need supplies now is the time.  For every $50 you spend you can choose some FREE products from out Sale A Bration brochure.  This offer ends on March 22nd.  To place an order please shop in my Stampin' Up On Line Store Click here to start shopping.  Have a wonderful Monday and get inky.  Until next time.  Toodles

Just Saying Hello

SUO Single Stamp Tea Cup Sale A Bration Spring Mini

Hello Folks. . .  Hope you had a terrific Valentines Day full of hearts and flowers plus a little chocolate to boot.  Today I have a super cute all occasion card to share with you.  It's a MOJO sketch, not sure if it's this weeks or a blast from the past but I love it anyway.

My cardbase is Very Vanilla, seems to be the flavor of the day.  I have matted it with some Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler using one of our new embossing folders from the Spring Mini, the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  My next layer is another piece of Basic Black mounted this time is a piece of designer paper from our Neutral Paper Pack.  Keeping my color theme going my next layer is Cherry Cobbler and a piece of designer paper from our First Edition Speciality Paper Pack.  For some added pizzazz I added a piece of our Polka Dot Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler.  My stamp set is a single stamp from last years catalog called Tea Cup.  Check these single stamp sets out folks, them come in handy once in a while and the cost is reasonable.

My focal point has several layers too, now did you expect anything else, LOL.  I stamped my cup on Very Vanilla in CC and punched it out with our Scallop Oval Punch.  I used one of our Itty Bitty Banner die cuts for my sentiment.  It is mounted on a circle and then comes my grand finale' one of our framelits from the Window Frames Collection.  They were in the Holiday Mini but have been carried over.  There is a whole host of items that have been carried over and you can find them in the Spring Mini on page 36.  To finish the sketch I made a small flower by using our new 7/8" Scallop Punch. Punch three of them and scrunch them up real good, added a white brad for the center and adhered it with a mini glue dot.

Well I think that just about covers it it folks.  I love the look and feel of this card, the MOJO sketch it just great.  Give it a try, I know you can come up with some just as cute or cuter.  I would love to see your art work so send me a pic and I will post it for you.  Thanks for stopping by.  IF YOU NEED SUPPLIES BE SURE AND SHOP AT MY ON LINE STORE It's open 24/7 for all your shopping needs and it will sure help me keep things a float.  Let me thank all of you that have already placed orders for this quarter.  Sale A Bration is a great time to get a few extra fun treats.  Yippie!!  Until next time, have a wonderful stamping day.  Toodles

My card base is Perfect Plum topped with a piece of Very Vanilla.  I inked my flower images with Perfect Plum, Pretty In Pink and Certain Celery.  I did use the stamp off technique in a couple of places to give my card depth.  Love it!!!  Also for a little more definition I decided to use our Elegant Boquet Embossing Folder #115964 as well.  I love the effect that it made.  For a little extra frill I also decided to use one of our Adorning Accents Edgelits #125595 with matching cardstock colors.  My ribbon is 3/8" Perfect Plum Taffeta #122987 and I attached one of our trinkets with a safety pin for a little pizzazz. Window Technique with Bug Me

SUO Window Technique Bug Me Stamp Set Birthday Card Sale A Bration

Hello Folks. .   Hope you are doing well today.  I have a very cute card to share today.  I was inspired by Mary Brown from StamperCamper on this one.  This card uses the window technique.  This is were you use your punches to make four openings and then place something cute inside them.  Today I used our Potstage Stamp Punch #122344 to make my windows.  My stamp set is Bug Me #126577.  This little stamp set is so cute and would put a smile on anyone's face especially a toddler.  My card base is So Saffron embossed with our Honeycomb Embossing Folder #129378 and measures 4 1/4x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.  Next layer is Basic Black and measures 3 1/2" square.  Next is my designer paper which is from Polka Dot Parade #126902 and is cut just a tad larger than my window piece which meausres 3 1/4" square.

Mary has a video on her site showing how this window technique is down.  It is really very simple.  With some scratch paper punch four squares with the Postage Punch (or any punch of your choosing).  Next on your 3 1/4" square piece of Whisper White space these pieces out where you want them.  I put a little removable adhesive on the back so they would stay in place.  Then I punched over them with my postage punch.  My little bee was punched out with our 1" circle punch.  I added some flair with four black brads and a piece of polka dot ribbon.  This card goes together very quickly and is so cute.

If you need to order supplies please click here to shop in my Stampin' Up On Line Store Open 24/7 for your convenience.  REMEMBER Sale A BrationSpend $50 and choose a FREE stamp set or accessory from our Sale A Bration Brochure.  If you need more deets I'm just an email away.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you to get some ink on your fingers this weekend.  Looks like the North East is looking at a very bad snow storm.  Be safe up there.  Have a wonderful weekend and until next time.  Toodles

A Special Thank You Card

SUO Baby Card Wacky Wishes Button Buddies Sale A Bration Thank You Card

Hello Folks . . .  Happy Monday To Ya.  Hope you are recovering from yesterday's events.  I know you SU fans have been neglected a little bit while I've been having fun with my Copics.  So today I want to share with you an  almost SUO (Stampin' Up Only) card.  I'm sure you remember a couple of posts back the Baby Cards I shared with you.  Today's card is a Thank You Card that I am going to give as one of my gifts to the new MOM.

My card starts with a cardbase in Whisper White and I topped it with another piece of WW stamping it with the hearts image from the Oh Whale Stamp Set #129132 then I used new Honeycomb Embossing Folder #129378.  Both of these items can be found in our new Spring Catalog.  My ink colors are from our new In Color Line this year, Primrose Petals and Rasberry Ripple.  Oh, I'm sorry my designer paper is not SU ( tried to coordinate it with the Baby Cards) so sorry.

For my focal point I stamped my sentiment with Wacky Wishes #126412 (one of our Hostess Sets for this year).  The rattle comes from Button Buddies #122737. For the rattle I used the stamp off technique.  I inked my image with Primrose Petals and then stamped if off on a scrap piece of paper.  This gives you a lighter color to work with.  I wanted something to show but I didn't want it to dominate my thank you.  It's a strong color so you could even stamp off again for an even softer look.  When I got my image the way I wanted I used one of the circles from our Circle#2 Orginals Die Cuts #114526 (approx 2").  My matted piece is Primrose Petals cardstock die cut with our Window Frames Collection Framelits #129021.  I thought it still needed a little something so I punched some more hearts out with the Three Hearts Punch (ret) and added a white organza bow, then I couldn't just stop there I added some of our beautiful pearls.

Just want to remind you of a few things.  Sale A Bration is in full swing.  Place a $50 or more and choose a free stamp set or accessory from our Sale A Bration Brochure.  $35 of that will go toward one of Sandy's Stars where you can earn even more FREE stamps.  Email me for more deets.  The first Paper Pumpkin Kit will be available in March so now is the time to sign up for that and receive a free clear block with your first kit.  Click here for all the deets.  Save big on our Clearance Rack.  Check often because it is always being updated.   Schedule a workshop with your family and friends and choose our hostess stamps sets from the back of our catalog plus receive $25 in hostess cash to spend on even more stampin up products.  Now is a great time to have a workshop so email me with your questions and we will get you on the schedule.  Book parties are also another option for the busy stampers.

Lots of Layers With Aviary

SUO Aviary Stamp Set birthdayn Card Sale A Bration Spring Catalog

Hello Folks. .   Happy Friday to ya and welcome to SandiesKorner.  Today I have a card to share that I made a while back.  It is using an old MOJO sketch from a couple of weeks ago and my supplies come straight from our current catalog.  Sometimes it's nice to just use what products you have on hand, right.  After all you paid for them.  LOL  My basic card base is Whisper White and I embossed it with our Fancy Fan Folder #127751.  Next layer is Midnight Muze and a piece of designer paper from Comfort Cafe` #126898.  The next layer is another piece of Midnight Muze and another piece of Comfort Cafe`.  My stamp set is from the cute set Aviary #120462, lots of bird cages to choose from.  My vine came from the set Thoughts and Prayers #127805.  My ribbon is the lovely 3/8" Stitch Satin Ribbon – Midnight Muze #126847 and for my punched flowers I used our Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309.  As you know I love my tools and these little punches sure know how to dress up a card.  Just the right touch without too much bulk.  This card can easily be mailed.   Oh I think I forgot to mentioned for a little more drama I did sponge Soft Suede Ink all around the edges of the card base.  Love the depth this give your card and makes it look more real.

I'm got a few projects that I'm working on right now.  I'm still into coloring and I have found some more digi images and I'm practicing with my copies.  I have a cute note card set I'll show you soon.  I'm looking for a cute box template to make it a complete set and I'm also working on some cards suitable for a Stamp A Stack.  Simple is not my middle name so I really have to work on these cards to make them doable at a Stamp A Stack.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by.  I love being your demonstrator so if you are in need of supplies please shop at the Online Store 24/7.  Click here to get started and don't forget about our biggest sale of the year — Sale A Bration—  It's the only time you can get FREE stamps sets and accessories for just placing an order of $50 or more and when you do you will also earn one of Sandy's Stars which will get you even more free stuff.  Questions . .   I'm just an email away.  Happy stamping and come back soon.  Toodles
