Hello folks – Happy day to ya.  I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday.  Next up is a brand to stamping year.  

Today I have a cased card to share with you.  My inspiration comes from a fellow demonstrator Chat from MeMyStampsandI   It pretty much is a total case, I think the only thing different is my sentiment stamp set which is my ole' faithful Sassy Salutations.  Here's the recipe.

On the inside I used a retired Birthday Verse from Cherry Chat and my trio of flowers is from the set Betsy's Blossoms in Rich Razzelberry and Smokey Slate ink

Hello Folks.  It's almost time.  I love to bake and it's just about time to start on my Christmas Cookies.  I try not to bake them to early.  I have not found a good way yet to store them.  I could use your suggestions.  What is your favorite Christmas Cookie?  Mine are choc chip (of course), peanut butter, snicker doodles, and macaroons just to name a few.

This time of year I always need some gift card holders,  Today I would like to share this years version of my gift card holder.  It is done with two pieces of cardstock.  The base is cut at 4 1/4 x 6 1/4.  I scored the top flap at 2 1/4.  The bottom piece is cut at 4 1/4 x 3 and I scored it at 1/2" then turned it over for a finished look.   My stamp set is Serene Snowflakes inked with Marina Mist and Night of Navy.  On the inside I cut a piece of designer paper to give it a little pizzazz.  I attached the two pieces using dimensionals, one as each corner and one in the middle at the bottom (so it doesn't slip thru) To keep it closed I made a belly band 1" wide and 8 1/2" long.  Wrapped it around the top (not too tight) and secured it with adhesive.  Next I used our thinlets die to make my Merry.  I used a little of our Tomboy glue and positioned it on my belly band.  It's quick and easy.  Once you get started everything will fall in place and you will see it come together.

Hello Folks. . .  Happy day to ya. Getting out the shovel.  WOW we got about 6 inches of snow on Saturday.  Snow is beautiful but oh so messy!!!!  Today I have a pretty birthday card to share.  I was browsing the web the other day and came across a video showing us how to make a square as our focal point using a single stamp.  Of course you need to use your Stamp A Ma Jig to keep your sanity.  LOL   Here's the recipe.

• Cardstock – Standard A2 card cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 using Early Expresso, Very Vanilla, and Crumb Cake
• Stamps – Secret Garden #131940/129144 – Box is from a ret. set called Happy Together and the Leaves are Non SU
• Ink – Early Expresso
• Cool Tools – Secret Garden Framelits #129372 – Stamp A Ma Jig 
• Pretties – 3/8" Early Expresso Satin Ribbon (ret), Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Glue

Hello Folks. . .  How are you today?  I think we dodged the bullet here in St. Charles.  We got a little dusting of snow with a little ice.  Thank goodness.  Some of the states above us got plastered.  Be careful out there.

Today I have another MOJO sketch.  I was inspired from Julie Tilmans's blog.  I used the same colors, Whisper White, Basic Gray and Pink Pirouette.  Once again it has lots of layers.  I also used a little of Cherry Cobber to add that special spark.  As my focal point I used the scallop heart from Hearts A Flutter along with the matching framelit.  My banner is made with Fabulous Phrases.  Here's a little tip:  It's a lot easier to line up these phrases when  you use the Stamp A Ma Jig.  LOL  You'll save a lot of paper.  Ribbon is Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.  

I did use a new technique on this card.  My pink layer is double embossed, this is something new for me.  First I embossed my pink layer with the new Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and embossed it again with the Snowflake Embossing Folder.  It worked rather well.  The second embossing didn't affect the first embossing.

Hello friends. . .  Hope all is well after this holiday week-end.  Today I have a great card to share.  It was cased from a layout I found over on Julie Tillman's blog "Poetic Artistry".  Boy it has a lot of layers, but that's what takes a regular card and makes it a great card.  

I start with an A2 card of Whisper White and layer it with a piece of Basic Black and layer again with another piece of Whisper White that has been embossed with a new embossing folder from the Holiday Catalog "Stylish Stripes" #132174. Second layer is another Basic Black piece nested with a piece of Designer Paper from our new In Colors Designer Series Paper Stack #130136.  Third layer is the same as the last just a tad smaller.  Following with the same theme I used another piece of Basic Black and I made my own designer paper by stamping the small flower image from "Betsy Blossoms" #131955 for wood and #126006 for clear.  My colors where all coordinated using Strawberry Slush.  I did stamp off one time then stamped my image on WW.  My happy birthday comes from our new set this year Label of Love  #130619 or wood and #130622 for clear.  My large flower also comes from Besty's Blossoms.  For a little pizzazz I used our 3/8" Taffeta Basic Black Ribbon and added some Basic Pearls on top of my Ribbon Punch Strip.

Hello Folks and Happy Day to you.  Hope everything is going well.  Today I have another snowman card.  How can you resist these little faces.   I guess by now you know I really really enjoy snowmen.  I have used this image many times before and I never tire of their cute little faces.  The stamp is from Whipper Snapper Designs.  

My base is an A2 card using Whisper White.  My next layer is a piece of Basic Black nested with a beautiful piece of designer paper from our current Holiday Mini called "Winter Frost"  #132341.  You have until January 2nd to purchase this beautiful designer paper.  My focal point is a strip of Basic Black.  Then I punched a strip of WW with our Scallop Trim Border Punch #118402.  Makes for a great accent, don't you think.  I stamped my images with Black Stazon Ink and colored them with my Copics.  I cut them into squares and mounted them with dimensionals .  My sentiment in the right corner was stamped with a retired stamp set from several years ago.  For a little pizzazz I added a cute white bow using a little seam binding.  

My inside is still blank, not knowing if I want this as a Christmas Card or making it into a winter birthday card.

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Tuesday.  Isn't he just the cutest – Frosty is back only a little smaller.  Today I would like to share an oldie but goodie.  Stampin' Up is celebrating 25 years this year and they are releasing the Best of 25 Stamp Sets.  Each month they will release a new stamp set with approx 3 to 5 images with one of them being a bran new image for just $14.95.  Even though they are only releasing one a month all the Best of 25 are available.  This month is Best in Snow #134387 featuring our adorable Frosty.  Click here to view the flyer.

My card base is Raspberry Ripple #126842, my next layer is a piece of Whisper White #100730 embossed with our Perfect Polka Dot folder #117335.  Next I used Primrose Petals #126841 with our Oval Framelits #129381.  The image is Frosty (ret) stamped with Black Stazon.  I colored him with some of my Copic Markers.  My ribbon is our 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon #126844.  I sparkled it up with some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Glue.

Hello Folks. . .  I've been absent a few days and I apologize for that.  I'ts crunch time for me.  The Francis Howell North Craft Show is this week end and I'm trying to get organized.  Anyone out there that has done craft shows knows what I'm talking about.  So, today I'm making it a short post.  I made this birthday card the other day with the Gorgeous Grunge Set.  I think it was cased from Dawn Griffith's blog.  I changed it up a bit with different stamp sets but the layout is hers.  Colors are Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Basic Black.  I used our new Labels Love stamp set and the butterfly from Papillon Potpourri stamp set with matching punches.  Couldn't get any easier.

Hello folks. . .  Happy day to ya.  Today I would like to share another MOJO Sketch.  It's the same as last time but I have used the striped paper from our Season of Style Designer Paper #132340 from the Holiday Mini.  I have also used another retired stamp set called Sparkly and Bright.  I'm still in the whimsy mood and think this set fits the bill pretty nicely.  I used the traditional red and green color combo.  The new Striped Embossing Folder #132174 (Holiday Mini) gives it just the right depth.  My pretty round scallop circle is cut from our Paper Doily Sizzlits #125592.  It does take a little patience but well worth the extra time, don't you think?  I added another textured 1 3/4" circle using the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder #127751.  Love It !!!!   On the inside I used our Sassy Salutations #132070/126707 Merry Christmas, stamped with Cherry Cobbler.
