This week is a hetic one for me.  I'm down to the final days of preparing for my craft fairs.  I'm scheduled to do two this year and I'm hoping they will be a success.  Come on down if you get a chance.  I'll be at Ft. Today I have a craft fair project to share with you.  You have seen these many times in a variety of ways.  They are tins filled with delicious candy.  My candy of choice is Hershey Nuggets.  I have wrapped each one with some pretty designer paper and have decorated them with belly bands.  I used our current Santa stamp #120859.  It's in the back of the Holiday Mini and I also used a retired stamp from Eat Chocolate.

Over the weekend I had a request for a gift card so I went looking in my stash and came up empty.  About this time last year I came across a very cute idea from Vicki over at Its A Stamp Thing.  She made the cutest little gift card.  It looks just like a Christmas Present.  So I got busy and made a version of my own.

I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock #119685 4.25 x 11 and scored at 4.25.  The fold.  That left my top piece a little long, so trim it to the size that you like.  Next I found some retired Christmas dp and cut it just 1/8" smaller.  I had just received some of our new Silver Glitter Paper #124005 and thought I would use that for my box lid.  So sparklely!!!  For my bow on top I used our Small and Large Oval Punches.  To make the bow cut  a 2" strip of glitter paper.  Holding your paper vertically punch an oval with your small punch first, then go back with the larger oval, center it up over the opening and punch.  Viola' you have a perfect bow piece.  Do this several times and arrange them the way you like.  My box top didn't want to lay flat for me, so I stamped my sentiment and used a round circle punch and then nested it with a scallop circle.  This does the trick very nicely, just be sure you know where it is going first before you adhere it with dimensionals.  TIP:  If you plan on mailing this be sure when you attached your bow pieces that it doesn't extend over the envelope.  For some added embellisment I punched a Snowflake with the snowflake punch #119852 and added some more bling from our Basic Rhinestones #119246.

For the inside I cut another piece of Christmas Designer Paper and used our Word Window Punch for the Gift Card to slip into.  Starting on one side punch your window and then slide it down to the other side and punch again.  This gives you a large enough opening for you gift card to fit into.

Hello Folks. . .  Today I have a fun little craft fair project. You can use it for anything you want.  For me I want it to hold a gift card and a Ghirardelli chocolate square.  This is how I made it.  I took a 6" paper doily and folded it like you would a diaper.  You can decorate it any way you like.  I made a small lollie, placed it on a scallop circle and used one of our cute tags from Tags til Christmas (W120847/C121169).  For some added support I also die cut our large circle scallop #113468 and attached my lollie to it.  This is just to easy peasy and you can decorate it for just about any holiday that you need a cute favor for.

Hello Everyone. . .  welcome to the day after turkey day.  Today I have a pretty snazzie birthday card to share.  I took our Top Note Die Cut and quilted it.  This is how it's down.  Punch one inch squares with our handy dandy 1" punch #124094 and arrange them on a 5.5 x 4.25 piece of cardstock.  Make sure that they are butted up right next to each other just like a patchwork quilt would look like.  Then I used my Big Shot #113439 and the Top Note Die Cut #113463.  Doesn't it look stunning.  Of course I had lots of pieces of Spice Cake Designer Paper #124003 so that was my paper of choice.  TIP:  It's a great way to use up small pieces that you just hate to discard.  My cardbase is a piece of Early Expresso #119686.  Once I got my top note finished I adhered it to my base and then used my Final Press EB Folder #115963 to give it a quilted look.  Next time I think I will try the Square Latice Folder.

My stamp set is a Hostess Set called Posy Punch (W122480/C122482).  I stamped it in Pool Party Ink  #122938 and inked my center with Early Expresso Ink #119670.  Punched it out with our Fancy Flower Punch #118073 and adhered with dimensionals.  I also used one of our new embossing folders called Designer Frames #123130, punched the center out with our Extra Large Oval Punch #119859.  My sentiment is from another hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes (W122615/C122617).  Click here to learn all about our Hostess Rewards Bonus Promotion.  Earn an extra $35 in hostess cash.

Today I have a very cute card using the Stamp Set Polar Party (W122675/C122677).  I must say I fell in love with these little guys, they are so darn cute.  I was looking for something a little different so I turned to my Basic Grey Designer paper.  Now I know it's not Stampin' Up, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.  LOL  I colored in my penguin with SU markers and punched him out with a circle punch and used one of my nesties for the scallop circle.  Sometimes I find that the nesties have better sizes that you can nest with.  Does that make sense?  My sentiment I believe is retired but you get the idea and can use what you have on hand.  I attached my sentiment to our Snowflake punch #119852.  I use this punch every year, it is the perfect size.  I embellished it with a small red button, added some Cherry Cobber bakers twine #123125, and some of our new mini jingle bells #124116.  (to save your sanity, I suggest a needle threader to help thread the bells).  I also added one of our mini clothespens #122942 and dressed it up just a bit with a small strip of dp.  Added some Dazzeling Details #124117 (better known as glitter glue).  Be sure an pick some of this up before the Holiday mini is gone.  So much easier to use and no clean up.  Yippie!!!!!

Good Morning To All and Happy Thursday to ya.  Today is going to be a full day for me.  I am having my carpets cleaned today and the girls have a half day of school.  This means a shopping trip is probably in order.  Gotta love em. 

Today I have a card to share using a Viva Sketch from the Diva's over on the Verve sight.  I chose to work with Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  My stamp sets are Delicate Doilies, Petite Pairs and a new set I just received called For Everything.  It looks very cute and I'm excited to be working with it.  My punches are the Scallop Trim Border Punch and Decorative Label Punch.  My fancy doily is not SU but I still love it.  My designer papaer is the retired Love Letter.  If you love black and white mixed with some cream this package does the trick. 

Well like I said above it's a jam packed day today and for the next few days.  Christmas Stamp A Stack is Saturday.  Most of my work is done there thanks to some great friends that helped me get ready.  Just a few last minute things to do.  I am having Taco Soup for lunch and good thing you can make that ahead of time. 

For you locals in the St. Charles Area, I have monthly workshops and I have a few openings if anyone would like to join us on the third Wednesday of each month.  Our next gathering is in January so that gives you a little time to get ready.  We would love to have you join us.  Contact me if you have any questions.

Hello Everyone. . .  Hope you are having a mighty fine start to your day.  As you all know I am in and out trying to get my craft fair items ready and working on cutting paper for Stamp Club and Stamp A Stack.

Today I pulled out an older set called Tree Trimmings #116722.  I was going for the Vintage Look and I don't feel I pulled it off but well here it is anyway.  My colors are Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla and designer paper from Well Worn #122359.  My ink colors are Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy and Crumb Cake.  My sentiment is from Petite Pairs (W122495/C122497).  Added some bling for a little pizzazz.   I hope you enjoyed it.

Hello Folks and happy Monday to ya.  We had a beautiful week end here which meant getting out and trying to pickup leaves.  Not to say the least it was pretty warm here but very windy.  I had to battle it out and I'm afraid the wind won.  I did my best.  LOL

Toay I have a clean and simple cased card to share with you.  I am a little behind to say the least on purchasing this great stamp set Gently Falling (W123802/C123804), but dog gone it I finally got it.  I was browsing thur Splitcoast and came across this great looking card.  I believe the originator is Libby Fens.  Any who lets get to the heart of the card. 

My cardbase is a 5.5 x 4.25 piece of Very Vanilla #101650.  I nested another piece of Vanilla on top and embossed it with out Perfect Polka Dot EB #117335.  My designer paper, you guessed it, is from Spice Cake #124003.  If you like this paper be sure and stock up on it.  It will be gone on Jan 3rd when the Holiday Mini ends.  I then inked my stamps on some Shimmery White cardstock #101910 for a little pizzazz and cut them out with my Paper Snips.  My sentiment is from Falling Leaves #115368 and was stamped on Very Vanilla and punched with our Decorative Label Punch #120907.  I cut another label from Pool Party cardstock #122924 and trimmed it in half and nested it.  I still felt it looked a little naked so I searched thru my collection and found thiscute  littel curly thing in the Kindness Matters (W122900/C122902) stamp set.  I think it made a world of difference don't you?  For my pretty I also added a touch of our new 3/8" Ruffled Pool Party Ribbon #122975.  Thank you Libby for a beautiful card.
