Hello Friends –  Did you have a fabulous  week end?  My fall Stamp Camp is a thing of the past now, I think everyone enjoyed themselves and they completed the cards lickity split.  The one card that I thought would go quickly turned out to take the longest.  There was hardly no stamping involved, it was all punch art and it turned out that it took a little time getting all the parts assembled.  Oh well, you can't win them all.  LOL

Hello My Stamping Friends – What a beautiful Saturday here in the midwest.  I just love my card for today.  I can't get enough of layouts like these.  River Rock is back Yippie!!!!!!  If you have never used River Rock it is a wonderful neutral color.  It will go with practically anything you choose.  Today's card is this weeks MOJO Monday Sketch.  Just a little late in the week but it still counts.  Card base is a  piece of River Rock #108640 cardstock cut at 4.25 x 11 and scored at 5.5.  It is matted with a piece of designer paper from our Elegant Soiree' #117163 pack.  My stamp set is a Level 2 Hostess Set called Cute By The Inch #120130.  It is specifically designed to be used with our Scallop Square Punch #119884.  I stamped in my image with Peach Parfait ink #119783.  My ribbon is the lovely 3/8" Early Express Taffeta Ribbon #119964.  This is becoming one of my favs.  My sentiment is from my old stand by Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370 punched with the Word Window Punch #119857.  Added just a few Jewels #119246 for some sparkle.

Hello All My Stamping Friends – Happy Thursday.  Just a couple more days and the week end will be here.  So hang in there.  Today I have a small project to share.  I have seen it several times now in the last month.  It's a cute little purse design with a small pocket on the inside for a gift card or even a little cash.  The purse is a piece of cardstock cut at 5.25 x 7 folded in half.  On the unfolded side make a mark 1/4" from the edge.  Then place your mark on the cutter and cut down at an angle right to the folded edge without cutting off any of the fold.  I used my Big Shot  #113439 and the Top Note Die #113463 for my purse flap.  Folded it in half and punched two small holes with my Crop-A-Dial #108362 for my ribbon handle.  You can make the clasp with anything you like.  I used a flower from Punched Posies #120030 from our Summer Mini, a couple of circle punches 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 #'s 119861/119860 and our Scallop Circle Punch #119854. I used some velco for my closure.   Viola' you have a cute little gift card purse.  Great project for the upcoming holidays.   Love it!!!!   I hope I have not confused you, if you have any questions please drop me a note.

SUMMER MINI ENDS AUG 31ST – Summer is coming to a close and you know what that means.  Our Summer Mini ends on Aug 31st.  But there's still a few days for you to take another look and see if you missed anything, like the cute Itty Bitty Bits stamp set #120060 that coordinates with the Punch Pack #118309 on pg 11.  I just love when a punch coordinates with one of our images.  It make crafting so much easy and picture perfect.  Be sure and check out our Smooch Spirtz's on page 15.  What an easy way to add a lot of sparkle to our projects without the mess of glitter.  With the hussle and bussle of our lives today you can create the softer side of life in years past with our vintage Elements of Style Stamp Set #122245 and some of our other vintage products found in the catty on pg 195 like our Distressing Essential Kit #118762 and the new Vintage Ribbons. Love Them!!!.   It's so much fun to use these products and see what you can do with them.  And lets not forget our Tropical Party #120081 and matching Designer Paper Pack Island Oasis #117173 for that last big fling at the end of  summer.  Take a stroll down memory lane.  Click on Summer Mini over in my catagories and browse thru my blog.  You will find lots of samples with these products.

Hello Friends – Welcome to SandiesKorner.  Today I have a new technique for you to try plus I have used the Sweet Sundays Sketch design as well.   I have been surfing the net and came across this technique from Splitcoaststampers by Joan Ervin.  It's called the plaid technique.  It is a simple technique and works best with a background stamp (that's a stamp that will give you a solid impression), so I  used my set Awash With Flowers #120459.  My cardstock is Cajun Craze #119684.  I matted a piece of Whisper White #100730 punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch #118402 topped off with a piece of Daffodil Delight #119683 embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder #119976.  My strip of designer paper is from Sunny Garden #119831.  My sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370.  OMG what would I do without that set. 

My image was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink  #119667.  Make sure it is stamped really well.  Then I took my stamp pad Tangerine Tango #111834 and just ran the raised edges across my image left to right and then right to left.  You don't want a heavy hand or you will cover your whole image and you just want to have streaks just like a plaid piece of material or paper.  For some simple detail I added some random buttons and put a little bling on my flower.  Easy Peasy.  Don't you just love it!!!!!!!!!

Hello Friends –  We had a wild day yesterday.  Late last week we had several really bad storms that left us with a lot of trees down and lots and lots of branches.  It's nice to say we are all cleaned up now.  The chipper man came yesterday and either chipped or hauled away all of our debris.   It was an expensive day but it is so nice to be back to normal.  In the next few weeks I hope to have an array of Christmas Cards to share with you.  I've been struggling just a bit with the designs.  My Christmas Stamp A Stack class needs to be simple but I still want to WOW everyone.  LOL  Any hoo I have this one finally completed and I would love to share with you.  I used the new stamp set from the catty called Holiday Happiness #120792.  My cardbase is the lovely Cherry Cobbler #119685.  For my matted pieces I used Very Vanilla #10160, Old Olive #100702 and some of our new Designer Series Paper called Jolly Holiday #117159.  I have fancied it up a bit with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder #120175 and the Scallop Trim Border Punch #118402.  I also used our Scallop Oval Punch #119856 and the Large Oval Punch #119855.  If you like nesting like I do these two punches work beautifully together.

Hello My Stamping Friends – Welcome to Monday.  This week is a big week for me, besides trying to get ahead making cards for you, I will be getting ready for my Stamp A Stack this Friday.  My card for you today is once again using the darling little set called The Nicest Things #120531.  What a great way to express your feelings for a loved one or a close friend.  It's just perfect.  My cardstock is Whisper White #100730, matted with a piece of Poppy Parade #119793 amd matted again with a piece of Designer Paper Sunny Garden #119831.  Just love this stuff!!!!  Before I adhered my mats I did run them thru the Embossing Folder Vintage Wallpaper #120175.  I love this technique because it gives your card another layer of texture and adds some pizzazz.  We love it.  My next layer is a piece of WW again punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch #118402 on both ends and I chose a piece of DP from Greenhouse Gala #117167.  The size of the WW is 2"  by 5 .25 and the strip of green is 1 3/8" x 5.25".   The focal point is stamped with Staz-On jet black ink #101406 and colored with my Copics.  I feel I'm getting a little rusty by not using them as much as I should.  For you Copic users here is the list of colors that I used.  (R46, R32, R02 — Y17, Y21 — E21, E33, E53 — YG03 –B21, B23 — 0)  Boy you don't realize how may colors you use until your done.  My sentiment is from Teey Tiny Wishes #115370  stamped on WW and punched with the Curly Label Punch #119851.  Then punched again with the Curly Label Punch in Olive Green #100702.   My ribbon is 5/8" Olive Green Satin Ribbon #117292.

Happy Saturday To You All –  Have you had your coffee yet and are you ready to start your day?  I'm still kind of kickin' back but I guess we need to get a movin.  I think I have a special card for today.  I used the oh soooo cute Owl Punch #118074 from Stampin' Up.  It's new this year and it has become very popular.  You can dress it up however you like just like a paper doll.  Today I chose to use the designer paper pack called Woodland Walk #117389.  The color scheme is made up of greens and chocolates and makes for a great masculine feel.   But this little owl can be dressed however you like.  My cardbase is Soft Suede #115318.  What a great color this is.  It seems to take on whatever hue you chose to put with it.  My mat piece is also from Woodland Walk.  It has the background of a tree truck.  Oh I almost left out that my designer paper is matted with a piece of Sahara Sand #121043.  For my scallop circle I used our Scallop Circle #2 die cut along with the Big Shot #113439 (It's practically a staple in my craft room). I use it every day.  I then cut a 3" circle from Woodland Walk #117389 with our Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat #112530/112531.  This tool will take care of all your circle needs.  It will cut a circle from 1" to 6",  The owl has so many pieces, so you will need to punch several different times with the paper of your choice.  I used Early Expresso #119686, Very Vanilla #101650 and another piece of Woodland Walk.  For my branch I used a piece of Garden Green #102059 and used the Sizzlit Die Cut called Little Leaves #114511 and the Big Shot again.  My sentiment is at the top of my card and I punch out a piece of  Very Vanilla with our Round Tab Punch #119864 and used the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370 to stamp my Just for You.  This is one of the more expensive stamp sets but you will use it over and over again.  A must have in your stamp collection.  For my embellishments I used some of the Soft Suede retired ribbon and some of our new Jewels #119246.  I think I took the picture before I applied the Jewels, so I don't think you will seem them.  But believe me they did the trick and added a little pizzazz to our little owl.

Hello There My Crafty Friends – You made it to Friday and your week end is almost here.  I had a special request from a dear reader about the card I posted on the 18th of August.  It is the FYI card using the Elegant Soiree' #117163 designer papers.  Sharon ask if I could help her come up with something using Woodland Walk #117389 designer paper because that is what she has available.  So here it is.  Woodland Walk #117389 designer paper has a mascline feel to me with the pretty greens and stripes.  My cardbase is Garden Green #102584 cut at 4.25 x 11, scored at 5.25.  I matted it with a piece of Early Expresso #119686 cut at 4 x 5.25 and my piece of Woodland Walk is cut at 3 3/4 x 5".  I used my nesties for two of the circles (I can get a better fit) and then used punches for the other two circles.  Not everyone has nesties, so Stampin' Up has come to the rescue with the Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat #112530/112531.  I know it is a little expensive, but It will solve all your circle problems.  You can cut any size circle from 1" to 6" and everything in between.  How neat is that.  Handy Dandy.  My sentiments is from Occasional Quotes #120142 a Level 3 Hostess Set, inked in Early Expresso #119670 on Very Vanilla #101650.  I also chose another sentiment from our Party Hearty stamp set #111532, inked it on VV and punched with our Word Window Punch #119857 and mounted it on our Modern Label Punch #119849.  I added random buttons at the top right and used a piece of our 5/8" Early Express Ribbon #119955 just to break up the stripes a little bit.  Viola' we have a masculine card that was easy peasy.  I hope this helps you out Sharon and if you have any more questions please let me know and we will do this again.  And that goes to all of my other readers, if there is anything that I can do to help with your stamping needs please let me know.  I love to share what I do.

Good Morning All My Crafty Friends – So nice to have you back here this morning.  Kourtney had a great first day at her new school and poor Kayleigh is stlll having her summer extended for a little while.  We are waiting on her IEP to be transferred.  Today I have a very cheery card and a MOJO Monday sketch as well for you.  You know I'm just lovin this Poppy Red.  What better combo can you have than red and yellow.  Let's begin.  My cardbase is So Saffron #105118.  You'll find it in the Subtles Collection on pg 167.  My next layer is my Poppy Red #119793.  It sure is gorgeous, topped with a piece of yellow from the Designer Paper Pack Sunny Garden #119831.  For some pizzazz I used the Eyelet Border Punch #119853.  I thought it needed a little love because the Scallop Trim Border has kind of taken over my papercrafts.  LOL  Second Layer is a piece of the Poppy Red cardstock #119793.  Now the fun begins.  I got out my nesties and used two of the oval shapes, one in Whisper White #100730 and the striped piece is from Sunny Garden #119831.  If you don't have a nestie you can certainly use your Co-luzzle Oval in their place.  It will work just fine.  My stamp step is Birthday Bliss #115442.  It is a small set but it packs a powerful punch with only 4 stamps in it.  TIP:  Sometimes we overlook the smaller sets because we think more is better, but be sure and take a second look on the smaller stamp sets.  They can pack a powerful punch when you have a great design.  For my birthday cake I colored it with markers (poppy red and so saffron and a blender pin #102845).  This is a great way to color your images.  If you have not done this technique before please give me a call and I will talk you thru it.  Easy Peasy.  My number is 636 441 2742  I also used a nestie there as well.  I just love the embossed image you get around your circle.  It makes it look like you've done more work that you acutally have.  Who would have guessed it.  LOL  My only embellishement is my Poppy Red Ribbon #119263.  You can find it on page 190 of your catty.  It is 1/2" wide, looks a lttle like twill tape and ties like a dream.  I'm sure you will like it.   And thanks to the MOJO Sketch Team it was a great layout to work with.

Good Morning My Crafty Friends –  Welcome to Wednesday.  You know what that means.  It's Hump Day, half way to the week end.  Poor Kayliegh didn't get to go to school today.  Today is the first day of school, but because we didn't get to sign up to our new school until yesterday, the school said they need time to transfer her IPE instructions and fit her into the schedule.  So Kaleigh gets to spend one more day with Nana.  I'm sure we will have fun baking cupcakes and getting ready for Stamp Club tonight.  My card for today is not too complicated.  I used one of our new colors Marina Mist #119682, matted it with a piece of Early Expresso #119686.  Early Expresso is becoming my go to brown.  I'm thinking that poor Choc Chip might be going to the wayside.  What do you think?  My next layer is a piece of Designer Paper from the Elegant Soiree' Pack.  It is Designer Paper Share #2 that I am offering for $18.95.  Check out the deets here.  I cut a scallop from the Circle Scallop #2 Die #113469 and the Big Shot #113439.  Oh, what a machine.  It is a must have, maybe you can put it on your X-mas and Brithday List.  My stamp set is called FYI #114365.  If you are in a need of some additional words this set will work for you.  You can find it on pg 148 of your catty.  It is a set of 11 stamps.  I added some cute emblellishments.  I thought my little scallop circle needed a little something so I used a brad from the Filigree Designer Brads #112577 and I thought my upper right hand corner was looking kind of bare, so I added some Natural Colored Buttons, but I think they are retired now, but you can use any of our new buttons.
