Just a Punchie Kind of Day

Hello My Friends –  How's you're morning so far.  I'm just getting started.  Last week a friend came to stamp with me. Bless her heart, she comes all the way from Sullivan, Mo.  We have such a good time together.  She always brings some of her cards that she has done and the one I'm sharing with you today is one of hers. Stampin' Up Summer Mini Two Way Exlarge Bird Punch I know you probably have seen this somewhere in your blogging world but it's a first for me.  My card features lots of cool tools and makes the assembly of this card easy peasy.  My cardbbase is WW #100730 backed with a piece of Kraft (now called Crumb Cake #120953) and matted again with another piece of WW #100730.  We used the Big Shot #113439 and a Die Cut called Lattice #115958.  This die cut is pretty versitile.  I have seen it used in several different ways.  I also used the Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch #117191.  My colors are Baja Breeze #111352 and Old Olive #100702.  My little flowers were punched with the 3 Way Flower Punch which is retired, but you can substitute one of our new puches called Itty Bitty Shapes #118309.  My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370 a must have set.  I think it covers just about any sentiment you can think of.  Punched HB with the Word Window Punch #119857 and matted it with a piece of Crumb Cake punched with the Modern Label Punch #119849.  Overall this card goes together very quickly.

Morning Cup With a Touch of Elegance

Morning Cut Elegant Soiree' Summer Mini Stampin' Up Idea Book & CatalogHi Everyone, the clouds have moved in and it is a little dreary here today.  How are you enjoying the new catty so far?  Stampin' Up has done it again.  Another great year. I have a soft place in my heart for old looking ribbons, papers and you know those feminine kind of frilly looking things.  I'm so happy to show you  my card today.  I think it is expressing just those feelings.  If you haven't had a chance to really look at some of our new designer papers you have been missing out.  We have some great color combos and graphic designs this year.  The one I used today is called Elegant Soiree' #117163It has one of our past favorites in it Baja Breeze combined with Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.  So very soft  and feminine looking.  I coupled my DP with a piece of Baja Breeze Cardstock #105120.  My stamp set is called Morning Cup #120489.  TIP:  What makes or breaks a card is the amount of attention you give to the details.  It's the little things that count.  Boy I've got a lot here.  You may not be able to see it my first layer is a tag cut from our Two Tags #115954 die cut using the Big Shot #113439.  Boy that's a cool tool that I use every day.  Next I punched a Scallop Circle from our new Scallop Circle Punch #118874 and added a 2" circle on top of that.  I chose the tea pot for my image and I colored it in with ink and a blender pen #102845.  My ribbons are the star of the show.  I used a little of our new ribbon called Victoria 5/8" and added a little pizzazz with the 1/4" Choc Chip (ret).  Our new Early Expresso 1/4" #119961 will work just fine.  Added a random button.  But if you look closely. underneath I have also added a piece of DP and mak\de it look like a ticket.  I cut approx a 1" x 1.25" piece of Elegant Soiree'' and used our Ticket Corner Punch #119867.  Well there you have it my version of something you would find in the olden days.  I hope you enjoy it.  Thanks for stopping by today, I will be gathering my supplies and getting ready for Stamp Club tomorrow.  What fun!!!!!!!!  Have a wonderful day.  Toodles

Punched Posies in Peach Parfait

Hello Friends – Welcome to Monday morning.  My girls are off to Clarksville, TN for the Nationals Tournament.  Good Luck to the St. Peters Royals and to Kourtney Clark.  Yeah Korts!!!!!!  Today I am sharing one of my Stamp Camp cards.  I will be having a summer Stamp Camp next month and this is one of our simple but WOW cards.  For everyone that is not local I will be putting together a card kit if your are interested.  Back to the card now.  I used the new In-Color Peach Parfait #119794.  I love to make my own background designs so I combined thePunched Posies Summer Mini Color Renovation Kits Ribbon Share Punched Posies stamp set (love it!!) #120030 in the Summer Mini and stamped the larger flower in WW craft ink.  I took the other little flower and stamped it in Peach Parfait ink #119783.  If you still need these colors, Stampin' Up has made them available in a kit.  Click here for more deets.  My sentiment is from the new Level 3 hostess set called Occasional Quotes #120142You can get both of these stamp sets for FREE by hosting a workshop.   Simple gather some friends and family and group your orders.  Easy peasy.  If you have any questions on having a workshop please don't hesitate to contact me.  Now my next stamp in the construction of my cute card was to pick a tag.  Stampin' Up does have a Lots of Tags Die Cut  #114508, but I don't have it so I used one of my nesties and sponged around it to make it look like it was matted.  I stamped the Flower from Punched Posies #120030 and punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch #119854 and punched again with a 2" Scallop Circle Punch (non SU).  Added a really rust button (ret)  for some depth on my flower.  Such a simple but great looking card.  Easy peasy.

Thanks for stopping by today, if you need any of the above supplies please click below to place your order.  Have a wonderful day, see ya back here on Tues.  Toodles

Punched Posies with Woodland Walk DP

Punched Posies Summer Mini MOJO146 Sketch Woodland Walk

Hello Friends – It's kind of stormy here today, what's it like in your neck of the woods.  I haven't had the time to post for the past couple of days.  On Firday, my friend Nancy came up from Sullivan to stamp for the day and on Saturday we had four softball games.  Boy it sure was hot out there.  On our very last game we had our catcher pass out of us.  She's ok, but it sure was scary.  Today I'm sharing my take on this weeks MOJO Monday sketch.  I'm just barely getting it in on time.  It turned out soooooo cute.  If you don't know by now, I'm a big big fan of red and green and the new DP Woodland Walk #117389 is just beautiful.  It has Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla and CC.  WOW!!!  What a combo.  Be sure and give it some thought.  I used some cool tools on this one.  The 1 1/4 sq punch #119865, 1 3/8 sq punch #119877, the new exlarge Scallop Circle Punch #118874, a 2" circle cut with the Circle Scissors Plus #112530, 1 3/4 circle punch #119850, Scallop Circle Punch #119854 and the Butterfly punch #119848.  Be sure and add these punches to your collection.  It sure does make your card making easy and perfect.  No better combination that that.  For Stamp sets I used the Hostess Level 2 set called Punched Posies #118535.  You can have that set for FREE by hosting a workshop.  Call me to set one up just for you.  The sentiment stamp is from Well Scripted (ret).  I also added a little Black Satin Ribbon #117285.

It sure looks like we are going to have a rainy day here today.  A great day for stamping.  If you have any questions please drop me a note and just maybe I can help.  Please check out my promotions (ribbon share, color renovation kits, rejoin starter kit) in my previous posts.  Thanks for stopping by to chat, have a wonderful day.  Toodles

Quilt Card in Poppy Red

Hello Friends – Good Morning To Ya.  Today I hope will be a catch up day.  You know those things that like to interfer with your crafting, like cleaning, laundry and such.  I have always wanted to do a quiling card but just never got around to doing it, well today is the day.  Yippie!!!!  My cardbase is the new In Color Poppy Red #119793 and I have just fallen in love with the embossing folder Finial Press #115963.  Once again I have used my Big Shot and Top Note Die Cut #113439/113463.  But first let me tell you how to do the quilging part.  I used the 1 1/4" square punch #119862 and the 1 3/8" square punch #119877 and punched out squares from the new designer paper called Sunny Garden #119831.  Easy peasy and the paper is so cheery. Quilt Card Big Shot Top Note Die The Nicest Things Awash With Flowers TIP:  I used regular adhesive to attach my squares but I highly recommed using Sticky Strip to attach your top note to the embossed layer.  It will stick better for you.  My sentiment is from The Nicest Things #120531 and my flower image is from Awash With Flowers # 120549.  Ladies, don't be afraid of cutting out small pieces.  Practice makes perfect.  I attached my small flower by cutting up a dimensional into small pieces and for my stem I rolled up a mini glue dot.  Works just perfectly.  I then attached some Poppy Red Double Stitch Ribbon #119263 for my finishing touch.

That reminds me I have a Ribbon Share in full swing here.  You will receive 3 yards each of the five new In Color 1/2" Stitched Ribbon for $15.  What a great way to see up front what beautiful ribbon this is.  Also be sure and check out Stampin' Ups Color Renovation Color Kits.  SU has tried to make our new Color Transition as easy and affordable as possible.  Click here for more deets.

Pocket Card With Beautiful Butterflies

Beautiful Butterflies Pocket Card Big Shot

Good Morning Friends – I'm running on low steam this morning, but I was able to make a card yesterday and it turned out oh so cute.  I was surfing my favorite blogs yesterday and this card I'm going to share with you today is a combo of some of the cards I found.  The card itself if called a Pocket Card and is very simple to assembly.  This ones for you Sue.  My cardbase is Baja Breeze cut at 4.25 x 11, scored at 5.5 and scored again at about 1.25.  I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch for my edge and added another piece of Early Expresso with the same punch border.  I took a piece of WW and used the new embossing folder Square Latice.  I used the old tech of ink to paper with Baja Breeze.  This techinque is very simple, just run your ink pad over the raised image and viola' you have a pretty background.  My focal point is the die cut Beautiful Butterfies in Greenhouse Gala DP.  The small butterfly was stamped from the Punched Posies stamp set and I cut it out with our Butterfly Punch.  Added a small flower embellishment with a pearl center.  My sentiment is from the new set Fabulous Phrases.  I just love the clean curly font.  Mounted it on a peice of WW punched with the Curly Label Punch.  Then I got my Big Shot out and used the Curly Label from the Magnetic Movers and Shapers.  Thanks for stopping by today, my task for today is to gather up some neat stuff for some Blog Candy, so be sure and return tomorrow.  Toodles

Friends Never Fade

Hello Friends – Welcome to the week end.  Today I have a card to share using the new stamp set called Friends Never Fade.  My sketch is a combination of other cards I have seen on other blogs while I have been surfing the net.  My cardbase is WW, matted with a piece of Early Expresso.  Have you put EE and CC next to each other yet?  Oh my.   Freinds Never Fade Stampin' Up 2010-2011 Idea Book and CatalotPoor CC looks faded out.  I also used the embossing folder Final Press on my piece of EE and sanded it just a tad with a sanding block.  I don't think it did much to it.  My next layer is a piece of Pear Pizzazz and I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Love it!!!!!  I also added a strip of the designer paper Greenhouse Gala.  Once again SU came up with some wild prints.  I used one of the toned down pieces.  I stamped the flowers in Pumpkin Pie and the new color Daffodil Delight, used a circle punch and the scallop punch.  My middle is the fleur from the set stamped in Early Expresso.  I stamped the words from the set twice once in EE and once in PP.  I also used the Modern Lable Punch.  I thought it just needed a little something.  Added some 5/8" Daffodill Delight Ribbon and volia' your done.  Easy peasy.  I also added a little bling.  Be sure and check your new catty out very carefully.  We now have some bling of our own.  They are called Jewels (clear and pearl).  Woo Hoo!!!!!!
