Gift Bag Holder – Card 1

Happy Friday Everyone –  Yes, I know I’m behind a day.  Upon returning from my hubby’s Dr. appt.  my daughter and I decided to go Christmas Shopping for the girls.  Acutually it was my idea.  I needed to get all my ducks in a row.  We went to get Wii’s and some games for it like Guitar Hero or something like that.  We noticed a couple of weeks ago that store inventories where not as high this year as in the past.  So like any good Nana (LOL) I thought we should purchase these items before there where all gone.  My girls have had a tough year and I know material things can’t change that but I say a few prayers and hope and it will put a smile on their faces and help re-establish their comfort zone.  Now on to sharing my Gift Box Set with you.  This is the first of four cards I will be sharing.  It is called a tent topper card and I believe it was designed by Michelle Wooderson at Mish Mash.  I used the stamp set Upsy Daisy with Sage Shadow cardstock and Nouveau Chic DP.  The card starts off at 4 1/4 by 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.  You can put anything at the top just make sure that it measures 5 1/2 or less so it will fit in your standard envie.  I chose the circles (my fav).  Guess what there are only 34 days till that Ole Jolly St. Nick arrives.  If you just can’t decide which goodies you would like from the many products SU has to offer I can make it easier for you and your hubby.  I do have Gift Cards available.  For more information drop me an email and let me know what you would like, but remember they are only redeemable thru me.    I’m getting excited starting Dec 1st we will be able to pre-order from the new Occasions and Sale A Bration Minis.  So stay tuned I will be having some new samples for you.  Both cattys will be availabe starting  January 5th, so workshops are in order.  Sale A Bration is a big aniticipated event at Stampin’ Up.  For every $50 dollars you spend in product you can select any item from the Mini for free.  You can’t beat free.  Well I’m off to stamp a little today, I have a very dear friend coming to stamp with me.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great week-end.  I’ll see you on Saturday with another card from the set.  Toodles

Upsy Daisy Gift Set

Happy Wednesday – Congrats you have made it half way thru the week.  I guess we will all be at the grocery store this week-end getting ready for Turkey Day.  I know I will be.  I’ll be cooking for just my family this year and they always want a big turkey day dinner.  You know the one, it’s all carbs.  No wonder everyone is sleepie afterwards.  LOL  What do you do for turkey day?  Over the week-end I was working on some Christmas gifts.  Today I have a gift set to show you.  The pressure is on you know, I feel I need to make everyone a special handcrafted gift for Christmas.  So for my  sister-in-law I have made this set of four gift cards and a matching gift holder.  I saw the card holder over at Amy Celona’s blog ustamp4fun.com. I used the Nouveau Chic DP (beautiful).  I will show them individually, so you can get a better view of them.  I better get a movin’, I have stamp club tonight and need to get my room set up.  Always a fun time with the girls.  Just 36 more days till Christmas.  I’m starting to get nervous, I need to plan out my lists and get started.  Ho Ho Ho!!  Thanks for stopping by today and I’ll see you tomorrow.  Toodles

MOJO113 – Too Cool Dudes

Good Morning Everyone – Are you having your cup of coffee and getting ready for the day.  I have to go grocery shopping to day.  Don’t you just hate days where there is nothing I mean nothing in the refrig.  You know what that means, going to the grocery store hunger.  Oh NO!!!!!!!   LOL Today I have a realy cute card from the set Too Cool Dudes.  The sketch is Mojo Monday’s #113.  It has a lot of layers but I really like the sketch.  Remember it’s ok to adjust the layers sometimes to fit you style better.  Recipe below.  I think in my rush yesterday I forget to thank all of you who entered the blog candy giveaway.  Our winner was Karen and the consensus was most of you would like to see more man cards.  I too would like to see more man cards but for some reason they escape me and I have a hard time with them.  I haven’t figured it out yet whether I don’t have the right paper (plaids, stripes, etc) or the right stamps.  I’m forever looking for man stamps.  I think colors play a big part in the look of a manly card.  I will try and come up with some for you in the up coming months.  OMG I’m sitting here looking at the calendar and there are only 37 days left till santa makes a visit.  It seems like only yesterday it was 42.  Where does the time go.  If you’re still thinking about sending those Christmas Cards, I have a kit that will make it very easy for you.  Twelve cards cut and ready to assembly for $15.  You can purchase the stamp set Tree Trimmings at a 20% discount when you order the kit, or you can use the stamps you have.  Drop me an email and I’ll get them sent out to you right away.  Stampin’ Up has some great holiday gifts for your friends and family this year.  Time is running out, remember you have to account for delivery time.  Take another look at all our specials and just the catty in general.  You can make someone’s Christmas very special this year.  Thanks for stopping by today, I’m off the the grocery story.  Have a great day.  See ya tomorrow  Ta Ta for Now

Delightful Decoration – Split Negative

OMG Happy Saturday Everyone.  Welcome to the week-end.  I so excited today to share my project with you.  I’m very lucky to be able to stamp  almost every day, but some days are just dynamite.  I was browsing thru the net as I always do for inspiration and found a video called Split Negative over at GinaK’s site.  OMG what a statement it can make.  I am always looking for gift ideas and paper gift bags are somewhat of a struggle for me.  They don’t stamp well, so you need to cover them.  When you need a lot of them say Christmas Time, DP becomes an issue.  You need a lot of it.  Anyhoo, I cut down a white paper lunch bag to 5 inches and went from there.  It looks intimidating but don’t let it fool you.  Easy peasy, just do it.  LOL  Recipe Card below.  Sitting here looking outside it looks like it is going to be a very nice day, so I’m hoping today will be my last day blowing leaveas around the yard.  It’s takes a while but sure looks nice afterwards.  I compare it to sweeping the rugs.  You have to get every little leaf.  I never realized I am so controling.  These last 10 years of not working in the workplace sure does open up your eyes about yourself.  Beware your time is coming.  LOL  Don’t forget about the blog candy.  Winner on Monday.  40 days till santa comes to visit.  Take a moment this week-end and consider Stampin’ Up for some of your gifts this year.  We have lots of gifts for that special someone.  Have a great week-end, I’ll see you on Monday.  Thanks for stopping by.  Toodles
