Simple Friendship – WSC#95

Well what do you think.  I’m feeling good.  I was able to work ahead a little this week-end.  I got some stamping done and that always makes me feel good.  I always try to plan ahead.  Sometimes I plan to good because by the time I need it I have forgotten how I did it.  Duh  LOL Today’s layout is the WSC#95 week-end challenge.  The stamp set Simple Friendship #113397 fit it to a tea.

                                    Simple Friendship

CS is a neutral called Sahara Sand.  It will compliment the other colors that you use very nicely.  The color scheme is from DP Bella Bleu #113974.  If you like the vintage look as I do this is a great paper pack.  I have trouble achieving this look but I keep working at it and sometimes I luck out.  Mats are Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla.  Ink is NQN.  Added some pearls and Very Vanilla 5/8" ribbon.  Sponged the edges with NQN as well for the worn look.  Tuesday is the day.  The Holiday Mini will be up and available.  You should have received yours in the mail.  SU did have some mailing issues so don’t freat it is on the way.  I’m off to clean out the shed.  I think fall/winter is coming early.  Have a great Monday.  Toodles TFL

Sweet Centers – Holiday Mini

Are you ready for a little R&R this weekend.  Well how about doing a little stamping.  The Holiday Mini is just right around the corner and today I am showing you one of the my 3D projects.  The stamp set is called Sweet Centers #116521.  It will put a lot of smiles on your childrens faces.  It not only covers Halloween but birthdays and valentines day.  Here’s my project.

                              Sweet Center - Holiday Mini

Do you own the big shot #113439?  I used my big shot and one of the bigz xl dies called the Fancy Favor Box #115965.  You can find them on pages194 and 200 in your catty.  I use the big shot at least once a day.  A very nice tool.  If you like perfect and no fuss you will love working with the Big Shot and its accessories.  Card stock is Crushed Curry.  I stamped the EEK stamp on whisper white.  Then I punched out the middle with our 1 3/4" circle punch #104401.  I stamped again on a separte piece of WW the bat from Batty For You #116576 on page 23 in basic black, mounted him with demsionals on crushed curry and basic black with our 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches.  Put some candy in a cello bag and tied it with Dusty Durango Ribbon.  Oh so cute!!!!!!.  TIP:  You can make your own crinkle aper by cutting up small strips of paper 1/8" and then running them thru your crimper.  If you’re not familar with a crimper check out page 188 (another tool).  I know we can accumlate a lot of tools but I truly believe if you have the right tool for the job you will be so much happier with the end result and it will look professional.  Have a great weekend and make some smile.  TFL  See you on Monday.

Garden Whimsy

Happy Friday Everyone.  Do you have big things going on this weekend.  My weekend is kind of open right now but you never know.  I choose to work with the stamp set called Garden Whimsy #113502.  It’s in the all natural section of your catty on page 109.  It gives you a good feeling when you look at it.  My card base is 4 1/4 x 11 turned sideways.  I like to alternate my cards.  TIP.  This design card size makes is much easier to attach some pretty ribbon to add some pizzazzzzzzzzzzz.  We all like that.

CS is Rich Razzleberry, paired with Pretty in Pink.  I used the new embossing folder from SU called Elegant Bouquet #115964.  It can be found on pg 195.  Sooo Pretty!!  Next layer is a combination of Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo DP.  I used my slit punch this time for a ribbon effect on the side.  Inks are Melon Mambo and Rich R.  I used a technique called kissing for the two colors on my butterfly.  Stamp your image with your main color and then roll the edges around on your darker color.  This adds depth to your card.  The sentiment is from stamp set One of a Kind #111101.  TIP #2.  When I use dark card stock I will add a piece of Whisper White on the inside.  You know that’s the next big craze is decorating the inside of your card.  Hope you enjoyed todays card.  Our club order will be here today and I will have some new things to play with.  Isn’t is just grand.  You too can play with a 20% discount by taking advantage of the Mini Demonstrator Starter Kit ($85).  Time is running out offer ends Aug 31st.  Click here for more detailed information.  The countdown is on for the Holiday Mini.  If you havn’t received a copy email me and I will get one out to you.

Cheep Talk

                                   Cheep Talk

CS stock is Soft Suede and Melon Mambo.  DP is also Melon Mambo.  Inks are the same along with a little old olive for the leaves.  I used SU markers to color the branch.  The butterflies are from the Branch Out Set which I featured yesterday.  It is on the dormat list but you can still order it.  Sentiment is from Family Phrases #111016.  If you like whimsy you will like this set.  I added a little bling for pizzazzzzzz.  Ribbon is Melon Mambo I just used the opposite side.  Great versatility in the new In-Color Ribbons – Two sided.  The end of the month is coming soon.  Now is your opportunity to take advantage of all the perks you will receive by becoming a SU demonstrator.  No workshops required.  And look at all the products you will receive for just $85.  Click here to learn more about joining my team.  CONTEST:  I need HELP!!!!!!  I’m having trouble picking a name for our team.  It seems like all the catchie ones are taken.  Drop me an email if you have any suggestions.  If I pick your name I will send you a special little something.  TFL and have a great Thursday.

Branch Out

It’s almost 11:30pm and I’m stressing just a little.  Today’s card is one of my fall Stamp a Stack cards.  The stamp set is called Branch Out #113200.  It is on the Dormat List.  What does that mean you say.  You won’t find it in the catty put you can still place an order for it.  CS is Soft Suede, matted with Crush Curry, Dusty Durango and Very Vanilla,  DP is from Razzleberry Lemonade.

That makes me giggle every time I say it .  Tools are the Scallop circle and the Scissors Plus.  A girl can never have toooooooo many tools.  LOL  Inks are Soft Suede, Dusty Durange and Crushed Curry.  Senitiment is from Teeny Time Wishes.  Ribbon is the other side of Soft Suede.  While gel pen and a little bling.   I did this in a hurry so if I forgot anything please let me know.  I have to go to bed.  I have to take the girls to school tomorrow.  Have fun stamping and TFL

The countdown is on for the Holiday Mini and the 1st of the month is fastly approaching.  I will have the Stamp Set of the Month Samples ready to go.  Stay tuned for more info.

Two Cool Dudes

By golly I think I have it.  The fourth x-mas card for my stamp a stack.  I just had to have a snowman card.  It’s tradition and this is the only snowman I had in my collection and of course it had to be blue.  So, CS is Not Quite Navy, matted with Bashful Blue.  I stamped my own background (I just love doing that) with snowflakes from the new set Serene Snowflakes in the Holiday Mini.  Which by the way will be availabel Sept 1st.

The stamp set is Two Cool Dudes #111708 found on pg 30 in your catty.  The sentiment is stamped in white craft ink, then embossed with Natural White embossing pwdr.  Stamp set is Hugs and Wishes (retired)  Snowflake punched out with the 1 3/8 circle punch.  I used my nesties for the scallop.  I should have used the scallop punch.  daaaaaa!  I tied a bow with some silver cord which also will be available in the Holiday Mini.  There’s exciting news.  Stampin’ Up as teamed with the Build A Bear folks and will have big shot die cuts that you can dress just like paper dolls.  Stay tuned.  Great for scrapbooking.

Autumn Harvest

Welcome  This is the WSC sketch this week-end #94.  I’m not quite sure if I like it.  I know I spent a lot of time on it.  If I had to do it over I think I would have made my sentiment a little larger.  Oh well here it is.  Stamp set is Autumn Harvest #110372

CS is Dusty Durango #115321 stamped with Itty Bitty Backgrounds.  This is a great fall/halloween color.  Matted with Crushed Curry # 115319 and DP Razzleberry Lemonade #115675. Ink is Basic Black.  The technique is called paper piecing.  You stamp your image on DP and cut it out, and adhere it to your image.  TIP:  I did watercolor the ground area with Old Olive so it didn’t look like it was suspended in outerspace.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115970.  The buttons are from my stash and threaded with linen thread.   Food For Thought:  There is only one week remaining for you to take advantage of Demonstrator Mini Starter Kit ($85).  Click here for more deets.  It’s a great opportunity.  Join My Team.  I’m still trying to think up a name for us.  If you have any ideas and would like to share drop me an email.  On-line ordering available 24/7 at my SU website.  TFL and have a great Monday.  I’ll be working on my last x-mas stamp a stack card.  I’ll post them soon.  Toodles
