Cased Beautiful Butterflies
July 28th, 2010 , No Comments »Hello My Stamping Friends – How is your day going so far? I have a couple of ball games to go to today. Be thinking of me while I'm out in the hot hot weather. Today I have a card to share that was cased from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. It is such a pretty card that I couldn't resist to have it in my stash. Thanks Dawn. My cardstock is Blushing Bride #119796, matted with a piece of Basic Black #121045. Black is a great background color, it seems to bring the sparkle out in other colors. Don't you think. I used the Stamp Set Priceless #115052 on pg 134 of our catty. It's a great set to have in your collection. It's just so whimsy. We love whimsy. My quote is from Occasional Quotes #120142. One of our Level 3 Hostess Sets. My embellishements are a little bling for sparkle and a pretty piece of our 5/8" Pretty In Pink Satin Ribbon #117289. Well, thanks for stopping by, I'm off to the ballgame. This is the last tournament for the regular season. Then we get a little break, but the fall teams will be getting ready soon. Oh, so much fun. Today I'm excited to show you one of my all time favorite layouts with flowers. It's so simple, clean and oh so cute. I cut a 4.25" square of Marina Mist #119682. I used the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder #117335 to add a little pizzazzzzz to it. My next layer is a strip of So Saffron #105118 and I used a strip of yellow from the DP Sunny Garden #119831. I then cut a rectangle and stamped some stems from Apple Blossom #120139. I inked it up with some Old Olive Ink using my marker. I only inked up the portion that I wanted to stamp. Actually I took a piece of scrap paper and lined it up, then stamped my images so they all looked like there are straight in a row. Added some buttons for flowers. That's the beauty of the card is the button flowers. Added a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370. For my scallops I used my nesties, but we do have a new die cut rectangle Scallop Rectangle #118872. I'm just not sure what size it is. It will have to be on one of my upcoming orders.
Thanks so much or stopping by and chatting with me. I'm excited about this new promotion. It's just another way you can take advantage of getting even more Stampin' Up porducts. Check that wish list.. I would love to do a workshop for you. Have a wonderful day. Toodles

Apple Blossoms
July 26th, 2010 , No Comments »Good Morning Everyone – Hope your day is starting out mighty fine. Today I have a card to share using the Level 2 Hostess Set Apple Blossoms #120139. This set is soooooo cute. I think the thing that caught my eye is the funky cute long stems. My cardbase is Early Expresso from our new Neutral Collection #119686. If Choc Chip was one of your favs, you're gonna love this one. It is much darker and richer. My next layer is a piece of WW #100730 and I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the right side #118402 for that extra special touch. My focal point is a piece of Pear Pizzazz #119795 and then another layer using Peach Parfait #119794. Both of these colors are from the new In-Color collection for this year. For my flowers I used an old method called masking. It has been around for a long time. I stamped my Peach Parfait flower first on a piece of sticky note and then placed it in the corner of my WW piece. Then I stamped my Pear Pizzazz flowers where I thought they should be. Removed my mask. I then stamped my Peach Parfait flower on a separate piece of WW and cut it out using my Paper Snips #103579. Great pair of scissors, they are super sharp and pointed so you can cut in close. I then stamped my sentiment with Early Expresso Ink #119670. For some added pizzazz I added a piece of 1/4" Early Expresso Ribbon #120931 and also you will notice I added a Scallop corner. I did this by punching a corner of Early Expresso with the matching scallop corner punch #118870. I trimmed up the corner and put it up underneath my WW piece. There you have it easy peasy. Now it's your turn. Thanks for stopping by and chatting today. I have a full day of house cleaning you know how that its. I spend most of my week end out in the yard. We had mighty strong winds Saturday night and the front yard was full of branches and leaves. Don't you just hate that. It took most of Sunday morning to rake and pick them up. Have a wonderful day. See ya back here tomorow. Toodles Oh I forgot to mention the polka dots on my card. As many of you know empty white space bothers me some times, so I took a white paint pen and added the swiss polka dots to the white areas of my card. It is very soft and subtle but I do think you can see it even in the picture. Always trying little things to perk up a card.

Herb Expressions and Wild Wasabi
July 24th, 2010 , No Comments »Good Morning My Stamping Friends – Welcome to the week end. Today I have a card to share, it's one occasion that we do not look forward to, but we get caught off guard when we don't have them in our stash. That's Sympathy cards. My cardbase is Wild Wasabi #108641. Wild Wasabi is one of my favorite greens. I matted it with the new Designer Paper called Woodland Walk #117389. Oh sooooo pretty. I then taped a flat piece of Early Expresso Ribbon #119955. My next layer was a piece of Early Expresso matted with another small piece of Woodland Walk #117389.
My focal point is a piece of Wild Wasabi matted with Very Vanilla Card Stock #101650. My stamp set is Herb Expressions #113224. This set is a beautiful outline image set that can be used for just about anything you can imagine. Today it is my go to set for my sympathy card. I only had a small place for my sentifment so I had to use a retired set that has been gone for several years now.
Now that convention is over, everyone will be getting back to their normal routine. Before you know it we will be making cards for fall, Halloween, and even Christmas. LOL Time does move quickly. So, I want to remind you of whats happening right now. Of course if you still need a new Catalog and don't have a relationship with a demonstrator, please let me know and I can fix that. Friends Never Fade Medallion
July 23rd, 2010 , No Comments »Good Morning My Stamping Friends – Happy Friday. This is the big day for Kourtney, they have four tournaments today. I hope everyone goes well. It's pretty hot our there and they have a history of pettering out in the heat. It doesn't matter though they are having fun. Today I have my take on this weeks MOJO Monday Sketch. I don't often use these colors, but I don't know why. LOL My card base is Night of Navy #100867 and it is matted with WW #100730 and embossed using the Dotted Folder #117335. I only embossed approx 3/4 of the way down my card. I did this so I would have room to put my sentiment. For my first layer of scallops I used the Scallop Circle #2 #113469 and matted it with a piece of designer paper from the Greenhouse Gala DP pack #117167. My circle is 3" cut with the Circle Scissors Plus #112530. Then I used our Scallop Square Punch #119884 and matted it with a 1 inch piece of WW stamped with the retired Itty Bitty stamp (boy I'm gonna miss that one) LOL Then for my focal point I used the new 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch #118874 and cut a 2" Circle. My stamp set is a new one called Friends Never Fade #120618. Ink is Night of Navy. My sentiment was stamped with Thank You Kindly #111700. My ribbon is a piece of our lushish satin 5/8" ribbon in Marina Mist #119751. That's it for today folks. Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to think about my Ribbon Share, I'm placing the order very soon. Toodles

Just a Punchie Kind of Day
July 21st, 2010 , No Comments »Hello My Friends - How's you're morning so far. I'm just getting started. Last week a friend came to stamp with me. Bless her heart, she comes all the way from Sullivan, Mo. We have such a good time together. She always brings some of her cards that she has done and the one I'm sharing with you today is one of hers. I know you probably have seen this somewhere in your blogging world but it's a first for me. My card features lots of cool tools and makes the assembly of this card easy peasy. My cardbbase is WW #100730 backed with a piece of Kraft (now called Crumb Cake #120953) and matted again with another piece of WW #100730. We used the Big Shot #113439 and a Die Cut called Lattice #115958. This die cut is pretty versitile. I have seen it used in several different ways. I also used the Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch #117191. My colors are Baja Breeze #111352 and Old Olive #100702. My little flowers were punched with the 3 Way Flower Punch which is retired, but you can substitute one of our new puches called Itty Bitty Shapes #118309. My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370 a must have set. I think it covers just about any sentiment you can think of. Punched HB with the Word Window Punch #119857 and matted it with a piece of Crumb Cake punched with the Modern Label Punch #119849. Overall this card goes together very quickly.

Morning Cup With a Touch of Elegance
July 20th, 2010 , 2 Comments »Hi Everyone, the clouds have moved in and it is a little dreary here today. How are you enjoying the new catty so far? Stampin' Up has done it again. Another great year. I have a soft place in my heart for old looking ribbons, papers and you know those feminine kind of frilly looking things. I'm so happy to show you my card today. I think it is expressing just those feelings. If you haven't had a chance to really look at some of our new designer papers you have been missing out. We have some great color combos and graphic designs this year. The one I used today is called Elegant Soiree' #117163.
It has one of our past favorites in it Baja Breeze combined with Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. So very soft and feminine looking. I coupled my DP with a piece of Baja Breeze Cardstock #105120. My stamp set is called Morning Cup #120489. TIP: What makes or breaks a card is the amount of attention you give to the details. It's the little things that count. Boy I've got a lot here. You may not be able to see it my first layer is a tag cut from our Two Tags #115954 die cut using the Big Shot #113439. Boy that's a cool tool that I use every day. Next I punched a Scallop Circle from our new Scallop Circle Punch #118874 and added a 2" circle on top of that. I chose the tea pot for my image and I colored it in with ink and a blender pen #102845. My ribbons are the star of the show. I used a little of our new ribbon called Victoria 5/8" and added a little pizzazz with the 1/4" Choc Chip (ret). Our new Early Expresso 1/4" #119961 will work just fine. Added a random button. But if you look closely. underneath I have also added a piece of DP and mak\de it look like a ticket. I cut approx a 1" x 1.25" piece of Elegant Soiree'' and used our Ticket Corner Punch #119867. Well there you have it my version of something you would find in the olden days. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by today, I will be gathering my supplies and getting ready for Stamp Club tomorrow. What fun!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful day. Toodles

Punched Posies in Peach Parfait
July 19th, 2010 , 2 Comments »Hello Friends – Welcome to Monday morning. My girls are off to Clarksville, TN for the Nationals Tournament. Good Luck to the St. Peters Royals and to Kourtney Clark. Yeah Korts!!!!!! Today I am sharing one of my Stamp Camp cards. I will be having a summer Stamp Camp next month and this is one of our simple but WOW cards. For everyone that is not local I will be putting together a card kit if your are interested. Back to the card now. I used the new In-Color Peach Parfait #119794. I love to make my own background designs so I combined the Punched Posies stamp set (love it!!) #120030 in the Summer Mini and stamped the larger flower in WW craft ink. I took the other little flower and stamped it in Peach Parfait ink #119783. If you still need these colors, Stampin' Up has made them available in a kit. Click here for more deets. My sentiment is from the new Level 3 hostess set called Occasional Quotes #120142. You can get both of these stamp sets for FREE by hosting a workshop. Simple gather some friends and family and group your orders. Easy peasy. If you have any questions on having a workshop please don't hesitate to contact me. Now my next stamp in the construction of my cute card was to pick a tag. Stampin' Up does have a Lots of Tags Die Cut #114508, but I don't have it so I used one of my nesties and sponged around it to make it look like it was matted. I stamped the Flower from Punched Posies #120030 and punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch #119854 and punched again with a 2" Scallop Circle Punch (non SU). Added a really rust button (ret) for some depth on my flower. Such a simple but great looking card. Easy peasy.
Thanks for stopping by today, if you need any of the above supplies please click below to place your order. Have a wonderful day, see ya back here on Tues. Toodles
