Morning Cup in Poppy Parade
July 9th, 2010 , 1 Comment »Good Morning Everyone – Happy Friday. Whew!!! I have finished up two of my obligations this month and have one more to go. The girls are gone for the week end and I hope to get some cards stamped for you. Today I want to share with you a card made with the new set called Morning Cup #120489. I received one of my orders the other day and in this one I have some of the new designer papers. I choose to use an oh so pretty one called Sunny Garden #119831. It features a few of the new colors (Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Peach Parfait). For my cardbase I used a piece of WW #100730 cut at 4.25 x 11. Matted it with some Poppy Parade #119793 and used the embossing folder Finial Press #115963. Just to give it some pizzazz!!!! For my focal point I cut a tag using the Big Shot #113439 and one of our die cuts called Two Tags #115954. I matted it with a piece of DP from Sunny Garden. My next layer is a piece of Poppy Parade and I punched one side with the Scallop Trim Border Punch #118402. Boy Oh Boy I just love this punch. It reminds me of ribbon. My image was colored with a blender pen #102845 and a drop of ink from my refill bottle. I put a small drop on the lid of my ink pad. My image was stamped on watercolor paper with Black Stazon Ink #101406. Let it dry for just a tad if not when your using the blender pen it can smear on you. Embellishments are a little piece of our new In-Color Ribbon Poppy Parade #119263 and a few random buttons. Thanks for stopping by and chatting with me today. Have a great week end – be safe. Ta Ta For Now

Artistic Etchings
July 6th, 2010 , No Comments »Hello Everyone – I know I have been MIA. My granddaughters are staying with me for a while, so my computer time has been limited. I will try to sneek in once in a while. I had my Open House and I think everyone had fun drooling over the new catalog. We played games and had some good ole' fashion Stampin Up fun. Today I tried my hand at some collage. I love the look, but I just haven't mastered it yet. I used the new stamp set Artistic Etchings #120573. My cardbased is one of the new In-Colors Concord Crush #19792. I will be so happy when I get my order tomorrow, It is so difficult when you don't have all the coordinating materials. It really does make a difference, friends, when you have all the coordinating papers and embellishments. That's what makes Stampin' Up so great. My designer paper is Newsprint #117166. I'm so looking forward to using this paper again. For the aging process I used More Mustard#103162, Concord Crush #119785 and Cherry Cobbler #119669 inks. Cool Tools are the Small and Large Oval Punches #119855/119863, the 1 3/4" Circle Punch #119850 and the 2" Scallop Punch (Non SU). This punch is made by the same people that make our punches EK Success. For embellishments I used the Filgree Flower set #112577 and a Red Circle Rhinestone Brad #109110.
Thanks for stopping by today I love sharing my cards with you. If you know someone who is interested in stamping please pass my blog address along, I am always looking for new faces to introduce to this wonderful world of stamping fun. The girls are pacing so I have to run, today is a big day. My daugher turns 39 today Happy birthday Sherry and the girls want to bake a cake, go swimming, go shopping for candles and who knows what else we'll do today. So much fun!!!!!! Take Care everyone. My technique for coloring the Hydrangea is take a mister and mist your Shimmer White paper with a little water and then use an aqua painter and ink (PIP – Certainly Celery) to color it in. I punched my sentiment and them matted it on Blushing Bride another In-Color. Oh, and for my background on the cardbase I used our En Francais background stamp and WW ink and added some WW organdy ribbon (retired).

Apple Blossom Time
June 28th, 2010 , No Comments »Hello To All My Stampin' Friends – Welcome to Monday I had two exciting things happen this weekend. First the St. Peters Royals Girls Softball team won they tournament over in Ferguson this week end. They are the champs and it just so happens that my Kourtney came in and saved the day. Congrats Kourtney you did a great job under all that pressure. My second good thing is I got my cabinets hung and they look so pretty in my craft room. I was worried that they wouldn't fit in, in such a small space (10 x 10) but I was wrong they look so nice and it makes the room look finished. My only problem now is I can't decide what to put in them. LOL Today's card turned out sooooooo cute. I used some of the new and upcoming new products from Stampin' Up.
The colors are Marina Mist and Daffadil Delight. Both of these can be ordered on July 1st. My stamp set is a darling one, it is a Level 2 Hostess Set called Apple Blossom #120139. The stamps that got me are the flowers and the stems. Cool tools are of course my Big Shot and the Scallop Circle #2 Die Cut #113469 and my Circle Scissors Plus #112530 and the Glass Mat #112530 for the 3" circle. The Butterfly Wings Embosslits Die #118138 added that special touch to help make the card pop. My sentiment is from the new set called Occasional Quotes a Level 3 Hostess Set #120142. I also used my paper piercer on my scallop circle, sometimes it just needs a little something to give it some additional depth. Oh don't forget the bling, I added a little bling for some sparkle. Guess What in the new catty Stampin' Up will be offering some of its own bling. Half backed clear rhinestones and pearls. Yippie!!!!!!!
Time is growing short, but you too could have the opportunity to buy some of the pre order products from the new catty by joinging the Stampin' Up Family and Sandy's Stampers for only $99, but don't delay offer ends on Jun 30th. Apple Blossom Sneek Peek – Level 2 Hostess Set
June 26th, 2010 , 1 Comment »Hello Friends – Happy Saturday. Hopefully by now you have had your cup of coffee and are raring to go. We started a new tourny last night and the girsl won, so they play today around 3:00pm. That's a late start for the day to begin and the hottest part of the day. Oh Well, GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!! I've been working on some new layouts using some of that new rubba and new colors. I always am color challenged with new colors in the beginning. We only get just a few sneek peek items to work with and that makes it harder to coordinate like you want to. July 1st can't get here fast enough. So this is what I put together. I used WW cardstock as my base and matted it with Daffadil Delight and matted again with Cherry Cobbler. My go to stamp set this time is Apple Blossoms. This set is a Level 2 Hostess set and can be yours for FREE when you have a workshop of $300 or more. Schedule your July workshop today. For my Cool Tools I used the ever popular Top Note Die Cut and my Big Shot Machine, my 3/4" circle punch and my 1" circle punch. Attached them to my stem and viola' you havea very cute card to make someone's day. I cut another Top Note and cute it down and added my sentiment. Pul a little bling on and a pretty strip of WW Satin Ribbon. The satin ribbon ties like a dream. I want to decorate the inside just a bit, but not sure what I'm going to use it for just yet, so I'll wait to decorate it when I need it.
