You know how I love florals and whimsy.  This month Stampin' Up has a touch of both.  The new stamp set Bright Blossoms is just as cute as a bug in a rug.  It combines flowers and whimsy, what can be better. 

My card today is another case, this time from Patty Bennett at Patty's Stamping Spot.  I am using the designer paper from the Summer Smooches Suite.  Bright and cheery, just speaks summer to me.  The Summer Smooches Suite is available only during the month of April  and then you will have to wait till the new catalog goes live to order it again.  So get crackin' and get a head start on your stash.  Oh did I forget to mention that some of the products will not be in the new catalog (fabric brads, decor' elements).

While browsing the web today for some ideas, my MOJO has gone flat, I came across this very cute baby card over on LeAnn Graff's site Flowerbug's Inkspot.  She specializes in punch art.  My sentiments are from Swirls and Curves Verses (ret) and Tiny Tags W118091/C118592.  My colors are Whisper White, Bashfull Blue and Delicate Dots DP also retired.  My cool tools are the 1 1/4" Circle Punch (which I believe is on the clearance rack), the Scallop Circle, Scallop Trim Border Punch and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  I used 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon and a little Natural White Embossing Pwd along with my Heat Tool.  My beads are non SU.  TIP:  For the rattle, punch your circle first then center the Scallop Circle over it.  Much easier to line up.   

Oh, did I forget to mention this is a shaker card.  So fun and easy to do.  If you don't know what I am talking about hop on over to Splitcoaststampers and search for Shaker Card.  All the instruction are there for you.

I have a standard A2 card size to share made with Daffodil Delight.  Topped with Summer Smooches Designer Paper.  I was going for a quilted effect.  I even used my sewing machine on this one.  My sentiment is from Herb Expressions #113224.  I also used Stampin' Ups Mixed Bunch stamp set and the matching punch Blossoms #125603.  They are featured in our Occasions Mini #W125535/C125537.  Place your orders now, the Occasion Mini ends on April 30th.

Today I have a pretty birthday card to share using Stampin' Up Just Believe set W116948/C120453.  My colors are spring like, Certainly Celery, Whisper White and a touch of Alwyas Artichoke DP.  I used our cute Framed Tulip Embossing Folder #121809.  My cool tools are the Large Oval Punch #119855, Scallop Oval Punch #119856 and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309.  My pretties are some silver brad stickers and Always Artichoke 1/2 Seam Binding Ribbon #121000.

Elements of Style and Field of Flowers

Hello Folks, happy day to ya.  I'm being bad today, I'm supposed to go swimming.  I have been out and about all week with the girls and I decided to take a day off.  Clean, create and inspire is my mission today.  LOL  Let's have a little fun.

Today I have a formal kind of card to share.  While browsing one day I came across a beauty on Dawn Griffith's site and decided to do one similar.  My card base is the normal A2 card in Basic Black.  Topped with a piece of Very Vanilla.  I made my own background paper using an image from Elements of Style W118611/C120045.  My next layer is a 3.5 x 3.75 rectangle of Basic Blacktopped with a piece of First Edition Specialty DP #121878 cut 1/8" smaller.  I then took Stampin' Up Field of Flowers W122760/C122762 and stamped over my DP.  This is a great technique and adds so much depth to the image.  Love it!!!!!!  Experiment with other DP papers and image stamps.  You will be amazed at what you can create.  Soooo much fun!!!!!!  My sentiment is HB from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115970 punched with our Word Window Punch #119857 and the Modern Label Punch #119849.  I added some 5/8" Basic Black Satin Ribbon #117285.  Just to take it up a notch I stamped friends from our Tiny Tags Set #W118091/C118592 and punched it with our Jewlery Tag Punch #117190 and attached it with a safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets #118764. 

JUST A COUPLE OF TIPS:  When using Tiny Tags, stamp you images on a piece of scrap paper first, then punch with the Jewlery Punch.  Use the punch upside down.   You can see what you are doing much easier.  Also punch your hole for the top before you punch it out.  Much easier.  This would made a great sympathy card as well, just change out your sentiment for whatever occasion you need.  I often leave off my sentiment and add it later for the occasion I need.  You never know what life is going to bring and it's nice to be ready.

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Wednesday.  This layout is one of my favorites and it suited the now available Summer Smooches stamp set called Bright Blossoms #125495/125497.  My colors are Old Olive for my base, matted with Whisper White.  I used our Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder on it and my designer paper is also from the Summer Smooches suite #125409.

Hello Folks.  Happy Thursday.  Welcome to my little spot in cyber space.  Today I would like to share with you this weeks MOJO sketch.  When putting this card together I thought of my friend Sue S.  Hello Sue I hope you stopped in this morning so you can get a peek at this card.  I know Sue loves my color combo today, pink and gray.   Everytime I use those colors I think you her.

My base is Whisper White topped with gray designer paper from Twitterpated #125406 and my Pretty In Pink DP is from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  Just in case you have not noticed there is a DP Series Paper Stack from every color family. 

My stamp set is Aviary W116856/C120462.  I love all the curly cues in this set.  So girly, don't you think.  My sentiment matched perfectly don't you think.  It is from a retired Hostess Set called Swirls & Curls Verses.  Stampin' Up does a great job of coordinating.  These go together like two peas in a pod.  LOL  My designer buttons are called Twitterpated #125579.  You can find them in the Occasion Mini on pg 12.  The Pretty In Pink Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon #124141 was new this year.  Very pretty.

Hello Friends. . .  Happy Wednesday, it is Wednesday right.  I loose track sometimes.  Any hoo, what a beautiful day.  LOL  Well I'm sitting here trying to come up with some cute words that will hold your attention.  Blogs can be quite challenging don't you think. 

Let me tell you about the Tea Party last Sunday.  I want to thank all the organizers for inviting me to a wonderful fashion show and lunch.  I met a lot of people and sold several cards.  Yippie!!!!!  They start stacking up after a while you know.  I had some requests for Sympathy cards.  I had a few but not many.  So that is where we are today. 

My card to share with you today is a Sympathy card made with Stampin' Ups Thoughts and Prayers #113252.   It's clean and simple.  I used Very Vanilla as my card base.  Added another small strip of VV and embosed it with our Lattic Square EB Folder #119976.  I love the tone on tone effect, don't you.  I used Early Expresso ink for my image.  Love this tree.  FYI:  You can purchase this tree in vinyl also for your wall.  it's called Decor Elements and SU is discontinuing this line of decor on May 31st.   My ovals are from my nesties.  Unfortunately I still don't have the SU Ovals Die Cut #114525, but it is on my wish list. 

My pretties are a couple of Rose Red Butterflies cut with our Beautiful Wings Embosslit #118138  and the Big Shot.  My ribbon is our 3/8" Early Expresso Taffeta Ribbon.  It's not available at the moment, it must have been in one of our minis.  Great looking ribbon, I hope it comes back in June.
