Welcome To SandiesKorner this Thrusday morning.  I'm excited for this week end I hear we are going to have warmer weather.  Boy we need it here at the Murphy house.  We have been surrounded by melting ice now for days.  It has been a challenge just to step out the door and take my adorable Goldie Girl out side.  Goldie Girl is a Goldendoodle.

I fell in love with todays sketch.  I saw it done on a much larger scale 5.5 x 5.5 but I wanted it to be a little smaller so I made mine 4.5. x 4.5 and it worked out very well.  My background is Very Vanilla, matted with Rose Red and Pear Pizzazz.  My next layer is what gives this card so much pizzazz.  My long strip is 1 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" long.  The other two squares are 1 3/4".  My focal point turned out just too darn cute.  I used the SAB set Sweet Summer, colored in my images with markers and then punched it with our 1 3/4" circle punch, mounted it on a 2" Scallop Circle and punch another 2 3/8" circle scallop.  Added some of our pretty Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon and viola' you have a great looking card.  Easy Peasy. Hi Everyone . . . Hope you had a grand week end.  I'm feeling a little stressed here.  I made dinner for the family today and didn't get to stamp anything.  So I guess I'll show you a project that I have been working on for Valentine's Day.  I'm thinking about having a class for this special Valentine Gift Holder and matching card.  I used both stamp sets, Valentine Defined WM #121941 CM #123057 and the Filled With Love stamp set WM #120839 CM #121154.  Designer Paper is from the Love Impressions Series Paper #121780.  You can find that in the Occasions Mini.  There's still time if you think you might want the Filled With Love Stamp Set and Designer Papers.  You can click here to find out more of the deets.  This promotion ends on Jan 24th, so don't delay.  Click here to place your order. 

This is a cute little gift idea, I made my gift holder out of Real Red cardstock, Basic Grey cardstock and the Love Impressions Designer Paper from the Occasions Mini.  I wrapped my Hershey's Bar with a 4" paper doily, added my sentiment, wrapped some Real Red Ribbon around it and stamped the heart image in the center of the doily. My card is a Z fold card also using the Love Impressions Paper, but this time I used the Heart Tree image from the set.  My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  On the inside I used our Scallope Heart Embossiits Die #117332.  I also embossed on Whisper White with our Polka Dot Embossing Folder #117335 and punch it out with our Heart Punch #119883.  The I love you is from a retired stamp set.  I know I have probably left something out so if you have any questions please let me know and I will sure try and help.

I do have a sneek peak from the Occasions Mini using the oh so lovely Springtime Vingage designer pack paper.  It brings back so many nice memories of visiting my Grandmother in her country home and seeing all the pretty sachets made of pretty floral material that smelled so good and was hidden in her dresser drawer.  Great memories.  Also all you quilt makers can reminisce the many hours spent in your favorite  quilt shop trying to select a few of those beautiful 1930 replica prints.  It's just like paper, it's an I Want It All Moment!!!  LOL

Today I have a card to share using the Sweet Sunday Sketch.  My cardbase is Sahara Sand matted with Very Vanilla and matted again with a piece of Early Expresso.  I used our Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder on my Early Expresso for some nice texture.  Next layer is another piece of VV topped with a piece of Cherry Cobbler.  (I know bare with me a lot of matts today) Next mat is a piece of VV matted with a piece of designer paper from our Woodland Walk Designer Pack.  My focal point is VV matted on Sahara Sand.  I used my nesties for my ovals.  Stamp Set is Bells and Boughs, colored in with Certainly Celery Marker.  I stamped Merry Christmas from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched it with the Word Window Punch and then the Modern Label Punch.  For the finishing touch I added some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon.  Easy Peasy!!!  If you need any of the supplies to make this card please click below and shop my on-line store.  Contact me if you have questions.  I'm here to help.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful Monday.  Toodles
