Hello folks. . .  What a grand day it is here in ole' MO this morning.  Sun is shining and we are on our way to reaching 70 degrees today.  Woo Hoo !!!

Today I would like to share with you a cute Birthday Card using Stampin' Ups Patterned Party (W123065/C123067).  This set will take you from the very young to us folks that are a little farther in life.  Today for my card I choose to use the cute Happy Birthday Banner.  My card base is Cherry Cobbler embossed with our Stripes Embossing folder #123128.  Of course everyone has to have a chocolate cake with a sparklely candle on top.  I used the sentiment from Bring On the Cake set (W121899/C121958.  Punched it with our Extra Large oval Punch #119859 and nested it with a Cherry Cobbler 1 3/4" Scallop Circle #119854.  For pizzazz I added some shimmery retiring brads.

On the inside I stamped the cute presents and added some more sentiments.

That's it for me folks.  I'm still a lady in waiting.  Mr. Brown should be on his way with some new products to play with.  Personnally I can't wait.

We have a tournament this week end, so I better start getting ready for Stamp Club next week.  Open House will be here before I know it too.  Lots of things to do, just need to keep my mind focused.  That's the hardest thing for me right now.  It's been six months since I lost my hubby and instead of getting easier it gets harder every day.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day.  I would love to be your Stampin' Up Demonstrator.  If you need any of the great Stampin' Up products that are out there (remember they are only there till supplies last or May 31st) right now, now is the time to be placing your orders.  If you need any help in selecting the best deal please let me know.  I will help you get the best deal out there.   Until next time.  Toodles

Create A Cupcake Or Two

Stampin Up Create A Cupcake Build a Cupcake Punch Summer Smooches Birthday

Hello Friends. . .  Happy Tuesday to ya.  Today I have a cute birthday card to share using an ole' favorite Create A Cupcake and coordination punch.

I started out with a piece of Daffodil Delight and embossed it with our Perfect Polka Dot Eembossing Folder.  Next I used a 4" Paper Doily.  You can get these at your local box stores.  Next I die cut the scallop circle from our Perfect Pennants Die #123126.  My stamp set is Creat A Cupcake W121915/C121982 and I used the coordinating punch Cupcake Builder #121807.  Such a darling combination.  Makes for a great looking and fun card.

My sentiment is from A Word For You W117032/C120528.  You have seen me use it several times.  The font is so cute and fits on a 1" strip beautifully.  I added some Certainly Celery 3/8" Satin Ribbon #119963 and a cute flower button.  I think the button comes from last years SAB collection.

That's basically it.  It's a simple, clean card that could be used for an adult or toddler.  I hope you enjoyed today's card and it inspires you to make one of your own.  There's nothing better than to put a smile on someone's face with a handcrafted card make with love.

Bring On The Cake Masculine Style

Stampin Up Masculine Card With Bring On The Cake Stampin Up Sale A Bration Occasion Mini

I'M ON A ROLL FOLKS. . .   You all know how difficult it is to make masculine cards, but I think I have another one for ya.  Today I would like to share a birthday card with you that will put a smile on anyone's face.

My card is a standard A2 size, 4.25 x 11, scored at 5.5.  My base color is Always Artichoke, matted with another piece of Artichoke embossed with our Houndstooth Embossing Folder (123134).  I have a strip that measures 1.25 x 5.5 matted with a piece of Pear Pizzazz from our In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper (117158).     (Remember folks, this is the second year for these In Colors so on May 31st they will no longer be available.  Make yourself a mental note because everything has been moved up a month with the new release of our new catalog on June 1st.)

Next I used a piece of our 1 1/4" Striped Soft Suede Ribbon (125060).  I can not express enough how great this ribbon is.  It ties like butter.  My stamp set is Bring On the Cake (W121899/C121958).  This set works great with this layout, don't you think?  I'm not sure you can see it in the picture but I first stamped my cake image in Early Expresso, then I grabbed a makeup sponge (its on a stick, the one that you use to put on eye shadow) and wiped off the ink on happy birthday.  I reinked it with my Always Artichoke Marker (105113).  It worked like a charm.

The sponge is small enough to fit in small places.  My large circle is 3" and my inner circle is 2 3/4.  I used my nesties, but it can be done many ways with the tools you have on hand.  I added a bronze brad to my sentiment to jazz it up a bit.

Kindness Matters MOJO Monday Sketch

Hello Again. . .  boy it seems like I was just here.  Where did Tuesday go.  LOL

Before I get started on my card for today I want to announce that Stampin' Up is going to shake it up a little bit for the upcoming new year.  Instead of a July release of the new catalog Stampin' Up is going to start the new year on June 1st.  Yippie  ImportantThe current Idea Book and Catalog will expire on May 31st.  Information regarding the Retired List will be announed at a later date.  Also they are chaning the way that minis will be released.  Instead of three minis a year there will only be two (2) minis.. .  the Holiday  and Spring Mini's.  They are going to last longer (5 months vs. 4) and will give us more time to plan for the Halloween and Christmas holidays.  This is exciting news and I will pass along more info as I get it.

Stampin Up Sale A Bration SU Kindness Matters Occasions Mini

Today I have my version of this weeks MOJO Sketch.  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.  My base is Very Vanilla cardstock matted with a piece of Soft Suede and matted again with a beautiful piece of designer paper from the Sale A Bration Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper Pack (126154).  The colors in this piece are Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party.  So soft don't you think.  The next two pieces are pretty self explanitory, Pear Pizzazz cardstock topped with a small piece of dp from Everyday Enchantment.

Now on to the fun part.  My focal point is a piece of Very Vanilla that has been embossed with one of our new embossing folders.  It's a set of two called Designer Frames (123130).  You can find them on pg 218 of your catty.  My stamp set is one of the sets you can find in our Sale A Bration Min i and is FREE with a $50 purchase.  It just so happens to be one of the preselected sets from this years catty.  Kindness Matters (W122900/C122902).  I decided to jazz it up a bit by using our Dazzling Details Glitter Glue (124117).  It comes from our Holiday Mini but is one of our carry over products, so it is available to purchase

My ribbon is a piece of Lucky Limeade our 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (122977).  I also added some pretties with our Basic Pearls (119247).   I hope I have inspired you to make your own MOJO Monday card.

Color Pencils and Gamsol Technique

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Tuesday. . .  Today I have something a little different to share with you.  It is not SU related.  I came across this stamp set a couple of weeks ago while out shopping and I couldn't resist it.  I needed a little practice time with my color pencils and this stamp fit the bill.  Isn't it cute.  The stamp set is called GirlFriends "In The Tub".  I used lots of colors on this one and unfortunately I didn't right them down.  But I trust you will enjoy it just the same.

I hope this inspires you to get your pencils out and dust them off.  Takes me back to my child hood, I was always excited to go to the corner drugstore and get a new coloring book and crayons.  Boy, to enjoy the little things in life again.

Take care everyone.  Thanks for stopping by.  It's Tuesday so I'm off to my arobic swim class this morning.  If you have any questions please let me know.  If you would like to purchase a card like this please contact me.  It sells for $4 and will come with it's own envelope in a padded envelope first class mail.  If you would like different colors I can do that to. What a cute birthday card this would make for a special friend.

Until next time.  Toodles

Pretty In Pink Mixed Bunch

Stampin Upl Mixed Bunch Birthday Stampin Up Occasions Mini Sale A Bration

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Monday.  I just can't get enough of our new stamp set from the Occasions Mini called Mixed Bunch (W125535/C125537) and even better yet the matching punch Blossom (125603).

I have a cute birthday card to share with you today.  My base is a piece of Very Vanilla (101650), matted with a piece of Pretty In Pink (100459).  I'm so looking forward to spring and this card brings me a step closer, don't you think.  Next up I used another piece of Very Vanilla but this time I used a new product called Edgelits (125595) and embossed it with the matching embossing folder called Adorning Accents (125601).  For a little depth I sponged the edge with Pool Party.  My next layer is a piece of Pool Party Designer Paper from the new In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack found on pg 176 of your catty.

My focal point is the floral from Mixed Bunch.  I stamped it in Basic Black Ink and used my Pink Pirouette marker to color it in.  I used Pink Pirouette because it is a little lighter in color.  I thought Pretty In Pink might be too dark, but you use what you like best.  I punched it out and then punched another flower from the Blossom Punch in Pretty In Pink and nested the two.  Added a Pool Party Center for some contrast and blinged it up just a tad with a Basic Rhinestone (119246).  My stem came from the set Awash With Flowers and my birthday sentiment comes from A Word For You (W117032/C120528).  I only inked up the b/d part with my Basic Black marker.  I love the font.  I also used some of the new 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon in Pretty In Pink (124141).  Oh, I almost forgot I also used my sewing maching on this one.  I like doing that every once in a while.  I have to work on getting my sewing machine back in my craft room.  Space is an issue.

Butterfly Prints

SUO Butterfly Prints Stampin' Up FREE Big Shot Stampin' Up Holiday Mini

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Wednesday and welcome back.  Today I have last weeks MOJO Sketch.  I enjoyed this sketch very much.  Of course what can I say, yes I used the beautiful Spice Cake Designer Paper.  OMG

My card base is a 4.25" square.  For my circles I used my nesties, but Stampin' Up has the Circle Scissors Plus #112530.  This handy dandy tool will cut a circle from 1" to 6".  Perfect every time.  The stripped designer paper you see is from the Neutral Designer Series Pack #117154.  The butterfly is from the stamp set Butterfly Prints (W121049/C120738) and punched with the coordinating punch #119848.  My birthday wishes are from the new set Petite Pairs (W122495/C122497) found in the catty on pg 164 and  punched with the Decorative Label Punch #120907.  What a great set, you actually have matching verses, one for the outside and one for the inside.

Are you a dog lover or know someone who is, well today I have a card to share that will knock their socks off.  The stamp set is new this year and it's called Not So Seriously W123085 C123087.  It's just another stamp set in the line of many that are great for expressing birthday wishes. This layout came from Ann Schach over at The Stampin Schach.  Thanks Ann for a great layout.

My cardbase is Early Expresso, matted with some So Saffron.  I used our Big Shot and Square Latice Embossing Folder for some texture.  Next layer is a repeat of the above just a little smaller in size.  My neutral is Whisper White #100730.  I embossed my image is Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and sprinkled some Clear Embossing Pwd over it.  Heated it with my Heat Tool.  You probably can't see it but I did use markers to color in their collars.  For my #1 Ribbon I used our Scallop Punch and our 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  Added some ribbon for tails.  My #1 was cut with my Cricut.  For my sentiment I made a flag and attached a CC brad.

I hope this card put a smile on your face, it sure did mine.  If you need any supplies to make this card please Click Here and it will take you to my On Line SU store.  If you have any questions or need help with embossing please drop me a note.

Blue On Blue Happy Day To You

SUO Birthday Card Raining Flowers Stampin Up Summer Mini

Hello My Stampin' Friends. . .    I have some very pretty blues to share with you today.  It's a happy day kind of cards that you just can't wait to send and put a smile on someone's face.  My stamp set is once again Raining Flowers W122765 C122767.  It's one of the more expensive sets but it has 13 images for you to work with.  You can find it on pg 111 in your catty.  My sentiment is from Friendly Phrases W126149 C126151.  It has six great little sayings that are guanranteed to put smiles on faces.  My colors are Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, and Pretty in Pink.  I used what's called the stamping off technique.  It adds depth to any card.  Ink you background stamp up pretty good, stamp and then stamp again.  This gives you a tad shade lighter of the same color you inked up.  I did that both in the Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze inks.  My designer paper is from the Regals Designer Series Paper Pack #117154.  All the designer paper packs are fun to work with and give you another option if you don't happen to have matching dp on hand.  Great paper pack to have in you collection.  My cool tool of the day is of course the Scallop Trim Border Punch #118402 and my pretties are a little 1/4" Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon and a couple of rhinestones.  This is a great card to send to someone you just want to say hello to and are thinking of them.
