Hi Everyone. . . thanks for all your comments, I'm glad to be back.  My computer has been cleaned and is feelin' good.  While I was away I did find time to make some cards, this takes a little bit of the stress off when I can work ahead.  Now for my card today.  My sketch is from Michelle Wooderson at Mish Mash.  My card base is Baja Breeze, matted with some Very Vanilla and my DP is the lovely Springtime Vintage.  Love it!!!!!!  The card is pretty simple.  I used our Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punches to make my rectangle.  For those of you who do not know how to make a scallop box or triangle, check out the Stampin' Up UTube site.  I'm sure there are several videos for you to choose from.  Darn this would have been a great time to experiment with making videos.  I'm just a little intimidated when it comes to making these things.  It's something I need to work on.  Back to the card now.  My scallop border was made with my slit punch.  It is now retired and we have a new die cut with several designs on it.  Check that out.  My stamp sets are Sweet Summer and Tiny Tags.  For my small scallop I used the die cut from Birds and Blooms, the one inch circle punch nests beautifully with it.

Happy Valentin'es Day To All My Friends and welcome to sandieskorner.  Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you.  My color combo is Choc Chip, So Saffron, and Cherry Cobbler.  I've been playing around with my MDS (My Digital Studio) and came up with the focal point of my card today.  I used the brush stamp Bingo, but I played around with it and decided to replace the bingo top with friends.  MDS is so amazing everytime I play with it I learn something new.  I embossed my So Saffron layer with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder just to add a little depth.  I'm just one of those people where negative space really bothers me.

Hello My Crafty Friends.  Happy Friday To Ya.  Jury duty is over for a while.  Now we can move on to other things.  Are You Ready!!!!!!!!!!  I'm talking about new products.  I received my new rubber on Wednesday and I will be sharing some sneek peeks with you over the next few days.  Today I'm using the stamp set Valentine Defined along with some of the other stamp sets in the mini.  The Occasion Mini will be released on Jan 4th 2011.  I know it's a lttle eary for Valentines Day stuff so I decided to make it a birthday.  Stampin' Up stamps are so versatile and if you start thinking out of the box they can be used for many many occasions.  My card base is Whisper White matted with Cherry Cobbler and then a piece from the new Designer Series Paper Pack called Love Impressions.  The sketch is this weeks MOJO Monday Sketch.

GOTTA HAVE IT LIST. .   Ladies and Gents get your pencils ready.  The new Occasions Mini will be released on Jan. 4th 2011 and you are not going to be disappointed.  Not only are there some great new stamp sets, but we have new Designer Papers, Coordinating Punches (no scissors needed), new spring fabrics, wonderful vintage designer papers, buttons, brads, more seam binding ribbon colors, and thats just to name a few.

Hello My Crafty Friends. .  Have you had your second cup of coffee yet.  I'm still working on my frist.  Today I have another square card to share.  I got this idea and sketch while blogging over the week end.  This card was cased from Me My Stamps and I by Chat.  She does beautiful work.  There is very little stamping going on this one.  The quote comes from our Level 3 Hostess Set called Occasional Quotes.  There is some texture on this card done with a Score Pal.  It is scored at 1/4" consistantly across the Whisper White card stock.  I used two small pieces from our Pattern Designer Series Paper Stack on pg 175 of our catty.  Then I used some cool tool for my focal point, some pearls and I made omy flower from the Exlarge Fancy Flower punch.  Here is how I did it.  I punched 3 peices of our Designer Paper Pack with the Fancy Flower Punch.  Then I spritzed them with water (lightly) and scrunched them all up.  Scrunch them as much as you like but be careful not to tear them.  Open them up as much as you like and layer the three pierces together alternating the petals.  Here's where you get to play a little bit.  Shape your petals as you like, then let them dry.   When they are dry I used mini glue dots to form my flower and added a pearl centerpiece.  Oh so pretty.  This is one that if you try to mail it I suggest putting it into a padded envelope or better yet just hand deliver.   While sitting here yesterday one more idea came to me for my craft fair this week end, so I will be trying to get a few of them made.  I'll show you as soon as I get one done.  It's a pocket card and I want to put a few candy canes in it.   Thanks for stopping by today and chatting.  I hope you enjoyed the card and if you need any of the supplies to make this card please click on my SHOP NOW button below.  Now for the Recipe.

 Hello Friends – HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!!!!!!  Thank You for all your nice comments on my Halloween Bottles.  I agree their just toooooo cute.   I got them at Hobby Lobby and filled them with MM's.  I decorated them with a strip of designer paper from the Wicked Fun Speciality DP #117400 on pg 172 of your catty.  I used the stamp set Batty For You #116576 and punched them out with the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches #119861/119860.  Have fun stamping, if you need to purchase any of these items please click here.

Today my card is a SS card (Simply Simple).  My cardbase is a 4.25 x 11 piece of Whisper White #100730 scored at 5.5.  I matted a piece of dp from the Greenhouse Gala designer pack #117167 on top of a piece of Early Expresso #119686.   My focal point is again a piece of Early Expresso  #119686 with a piece of WW on top of that.  My stamp set is one I don't use very often, shame on me, it's time to give it a little love.  It's called Define Your Life #114950 on pg 161 of the catty.  My punch is the Decorative Label #120907 from the Holiday Mini.  It's just the right size for most of our sentiments and it's a cute little shape. Hello My Stamping Friends – Happy Saturday.  Today I have a card to share that is a KISS kind of card.  You say what is KISS (Keep It Simple Sweetie).  This just means to keep it clean, crisp and not too many layers.  Of course this concept is in the mind of the beholder.  By eliminating some of the matt on my focal point you could even make this more KISSable.  LOL  Now let's get started, my card base is a 5.5 x 8.5, scrored at 4.25 in Soft Suede #115318.  I matted it with a piece of designer paper from the Elegant Soiree' (check back Monday)  #117163.  My second layer is Soft Suede and Baja Breeze #111352.  My focal point was stamped from the Stamp Set Thoughts and Prayers #113252 on Very Vanilla cardstock #101650.  My sentiment was taken from the set Sincere Salutations #115068.  For embellishments I used some 5/8" Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon #117291 and I used a few of our new pearls from our Jewels collection #119247.  Easy Peasy now you have a great looking all occasion greeting card.

Good Morining My Stamping Friends – Happy Friday.  You're gonna love this card that I have to share today.  It's clean and simple and so very summery.  I got my layout from Michelle Wooderson over at Mish Mash.  Just love her site.  Of course the stamps and embellishments are different.  Mine is all SU.  I used our crisp Whisper White #100730 for my base cardstock and them I matted a piece of one of our new In-Colors Pear Pizzazz #119795.  My next matt is a piece of designer paper from Sunny Garden #119831.  This is were I stamped my images.  Don't be afraid to stamp directly on your designer papers.  It makes for a great look.  I had to use several stamp sets to get the images I wanted.  My stems are inked in Pear Pizzazz #119784 and came from the set called Happy Together #114314, The flowers are inked in Poppy Parade #119782 and came from the set Priceless #115052.  I punched out some Daffodil Delight cardstock  #119683 and used our Scallop Square Punch #119884 and punched three squares.  I matted them with some scraps from the dp Sunny Garden and added some cute buttons for some pop.  The sentiment happiness comes from a retired set from a couple of years aga but you can make it your own by using anything you like.  And that's it Easy Peasy.  I hope you get some stamping time this week end.  This is a lovely card that would put a smile on anyone's face.
