Hello Folks. . .  Happy Saturday to ya.  This week end is pretty big here in Missouri.  School has ended for most and the graduation ceremony's have begun.  I have two today.

I made a cute little You Did It Graduation Card for one of my friends.  I tried to make it happy and cheery.  My card base is Whisper White topped with a piece of Real Red and topped again with a retired piece from Pawsitively Prints.  I loved that designer paper.

I cut out a scallop circle and a plain circle with my nesties and added a cute 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (Temp. Turquoise).  My stamp set is retiring, its Herb Expressions #113224.  I often use this set if I'm in need of flowers with stems.  You can find it on pg 121 of your catty.  I used my markers to fill in the small flowers and leaves.  My sentiment is also retired, its from Mini Mates. 

I'm off to make some cupcakes for the celebrations today.  Baking is my second love.  I made cupcakes yesterday for Kayleigh's end of school party.  What fun !!!!  I'm trying Boston Cream Cupcakes today.

Hello Folks. . .   Happy Friday, I hope all is well.  I've been playing with some of the new products from the catty that will be released on June 1st.  When SU announced they were retiring all the stamp pads and changing them out to a new foam pad I thought OUCH.  But boy oh boy I'm sold. 

The new In Colors for this year are very bold and striking.  I can't believe the difference in the quality of my image when you use the new stamp foam pads.  Over the years I have developed some health issues with my hands from over use.  These new pads are amazing.  I hope you can tell from my picture how striking the images are.  I barely had to use any pressure at all and look at the great image I got.  Over time I will definitely replace my ink pads with the new foam pads.

2012-2013 In Colors
(Gumball Green, Midnight Muze, Summer Starfruit,
Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple)

My inspiration today comes from a combination of ideas that I found while browsing the world wide web out there.  It featues four of the new In Colors for this year (Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Midnight Muze).  My stamp set is new and it's called Betsy's Blossoms.  It is whimsy yet modern in style.  My sentiment is from Friendly Phrases W126149/C126151.  It has become one of my go to sets for sentiments.

I used several Cool Tools.  The pretty edge was done with the Adorning Accents Edgelit Die from the Occasions Mini.  Click here to view what had been carried over.  I also used the matching Embossing Folder for a little pizzazz.  For the little flower I used our 1/2" Circle Punch #119869 and for the larger flower I cut it out with our Paper Snips #103579.  These scissors have a sharp pointed tip to get into small areas.  My Designer Paper is also new.  It called Comfort Cafe' and features all of the new 2012-2013 In Colors.

Hello Friends. . .  Happy Wednesday, it is Wednesday right.  I loose track sometimes.  Any hoo, what a beautiful day.  LOL  Well I'm sitting here trying to come up with some cute words that will hold your attention.  Blogs can be quite challenging don't you think. 

Let me tell you about the Tea Party last Sunday.  I want to thank all the organizers for inviting me to a wonderful fashion show and lunch.  I met a lot of people and sold several cards.  Yippie!!!!!  They start stacking up after a while you know.  I had some requests for Sympathy cards.  I had a few but not many.  So that is where we are today. 

My card to share with you today is a Sympathy card made with Stampin' Ups Thoughts and Prayers #113252.   It's clean and simple.  I used Very Vanilla as my card base.  Added another small strip of VV and embosed it with our Lattic Square EB Folder #119976.  I love the tone on tone effect, don't you.  I used Early Expresso ink for my image.  Love this tree.  FYI:  You can purchase this tree in vinyl also for your wall.  it's called Decor Elements and SU is discontinuing this line of decor on May 31st.   My ovals are from my nesties.  Unfortunately I still don't have the SU Ovals Die Cut #114525, but it is on my wish list. 

My pretties are a couple of Rose Red Butterflies cut with our Beautiful Wings Embosslit #118138  and the Big Shot.  My ribbon is our 3/8" Early Expresso Taffeta Ribbon.  It's not available at the moment, it must have been in one of our minis.  Great looking ribbon, I hope it comes back in June.

Hello and Happy Friday To Ya.  The week end is almost here.

Kourtney's surgery went well and she is resting today.

Today we are changing it up just a tad and doing something other than Christmas.  I have a case to share with you from our 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog.  My cardstock is Pink Pirquette (111351).  I must admit this is not a color I normally use but remember is it a case right out of the catty.  Next is a couple of layers.  I used our Scallop Border Punch (119882) on a piece of Pear Pizzazz and attached it to a piece of PP 2.5 x 5.5 and used our Square Lattice EB Folder (119976).  These EB or great they give your card just enough texture and depth especially when you don't have a dp to match.  My last layer is a piece of Bashful Blue punched with our Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (119275).  My focal point is a piece of Whisper White (100730) 2 3/4 x 3 7/8.  I nested it with a piece of Pear Pizzazz one eighth larger.  My stamp set is Field of Flower (W122760/C122762).  This set is a great go to set when your are looking for florals.  One of SU's best designs.  My inks are So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.  My sentiment if from the same set so everything is right at your fingertips.  For a little more pizzazz I used some of our pretty 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon Lucky Limeade (122977).  This card is very easy to put together.  Add this one to your stash.

OMG get ready, the Occasions Mini is going to be so much fun.  It is just full of new cool tools and matching stamp sets to boot.  I can't show you the actual products but I do have new rubber coming soon.  Here's just a short narritive on some of the new products us will be seeing come Jan 4th.

FRAMELITS. . .  OMG we have been waiting for something like this.  There are wafer thin die cut designs that let you nest your images perfectly.  These are going to be a hot item. 

EDGELITS. . . This product allows you to jazz up the edges of your cards or envies with a pretty decorative edge and now we can even emboss those edges with pretty designs.  Can't wait for this one.

We are even going to have our very own Doily Sizzlits Die Cut.  It's very large and you will be able to cut several different patterns.  It will serve as more than just one design.  Brilliant!!!!!!!

Hello My Stamping Friends.  Happy Friday.  Today I have a shabby chic card to share with you.  I am using this weeks MOJO Skectch and what a lovely sketch it is.  I have made a 4.25" square card for this project.  And I'm using the lovely Spice Cake Designer Paper #124003.  Be sure and pick some of that up, it is one of my all time favs.  My design pretty much follows the skecth right down the line.  I have four rectangles, they are (clockwise) 1.25 x 1.5, 1.5 x 2.25, 2 x 2.25 and 1.25 x 2.  For my focal point I choose the Fun Flower Die Cut #121812 cutting it with my Big Shot #113439.  I just used the smallest flower but I cut two of them.  I curled them with a small pencil and added a crochet flower from Fleurettes II #115604.  Since it was Whisper White and I needed Very Vanilla, I got out my sponge and sponged it with some Very Vanilla Craft Ink.  Worked just fine.  It still needed a little something so I added one of our retired More Mustard buttons and tied a bow using our Early Expresso Baker's Twine #123124.  Adhered it with a big glue dot.  For my sentiment I chose our die cut called Lots of Tags #114508 and used the Stamp Set With All My Heart W118134 C118623.  The sentiment "Friend" just fit on there perfectly.  Oh, I almost forgot instead of using a leaf die cut I used our Swirls Scribbles #113441 die cut in place of leaves.  What do you think?  Cute huh.

Hello My Stamping Friends – Happy Friday To Ya. . .   Today I have a beautiful card to share that was cased from the front of our new catalog.  Isn't it just great.  The last few posts have been on the whimsy side but we are back in the groove with florals today.  The sketch is a simple one, just a couple of layers and then tilted to the side just a bit.  I was looking for the worn look so I did a little destressing.  My colors are Soft Suede, Early Expresso, Calyspo Coral and Very Vanila.  All the action takes place on the Very Vanilla.  The first thing I did was use our Jumbo Roller Very Vintage inked with Soft Suede, then I took our Fine Flourish Stamp and stamped the lower right edge, just for some contrast.  Next I used our Big Shot and the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder for the edge.  Then I took a sponge and sponged all around with Soft Suede to make it look old and dingy.  My stamp set is Field of Flowers inked with Old Olive and Calypso Coral.  Next I used my scissors and scraped my edges to make it look worn.  I also took out my Spritzer Tool with markers to make it look even more distressed.  My sentiment is from Three Little Words punched with the Word Window Punch and nested with a piece of Soft Suede punched with the Modern Lable Punch.

Good Morning My Stamping Friends. . .  Yesterday I featured the cute little toddler birthday card using the embedding technique with circles.  Today I have a girly girl kind of card.  My card base is Poppy Parade matted with a piece of Whisper White.  I used our Polka Dot Embossing Folder on it.  Next is a layer of Pawsitively Pints DP.  For a little splash I punched a strip of Basic Back with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  My focal point was made with one of our cool tools, the Cupcake Punch that was featured in the Occasion Mini.  All you need to do is choose a really cute designer paper that you like, mine was Pawsitively Prints.  I used three of the oh so cute pattern papers and punched them with the Cupcake Punch.  For the top of my handbag I cut a 3/4" circle and cut it in half, then for the handle go back to the card stock that you just cut the circles from and insert your punch again about halfway up and punch.  This gives you the handle for your cute purse.  I added one of our Rhinestone Jewels.  If you have not tried them yet you are missing out.  The sparkle on these rhinestones is phenomenal.  My sentiment is from Touch Of Kindness from the Summer Mini, punched with the Large Oval and the Scallop Oval Punches.
