Rolled Flowers For My Dear Friend

Rolled Flowers Stampin Up Sale a Bration Stampin Up Occasion Mini

Happy Saturday. . . Boy did it rain last night.  We had flood warnings here in St. Charles.  Hope everything is ok at your house.  Today I have a card to share that I cased from Vikki Burdick.  It is my first attempt at making rolled flowers.  This is becoming a very popular technique out in the blogasphere.  My card base is Rich Razzleberry.  Next layer is Pretty In Pink and a piece from the Pretty In Pink DP.

To make the rolled flowers, cut a 3" square, round off your corners and draw a spiral on the back.  Now this is where I need practice.  I like to make things even and I have a heck of a time drawing an even spiral.   Next get your Crimper out and run your piece of paper thru it several times.  This helps break down the fibers and makes your paper more plyable.  Now it's time to cut your spiral out.  Follow the lines on your paper best you can.  If you want more of a rose look don't cut it straight.  Give it a few twists and turns.  Now the fun begins.  Start rolling up the end piece and make it real tight.  Continue rolling until you get to the end.  Now add some glue or a glue dot to the flat end piece.  Release and your flower will open up.  You can play with it till you get the look you want.  TIP:  when picking out dp for your flowers, most often it is a piece that you would not ordinarily use.  What I'm trying to say is it needs a lot of contrast.  The more light and darks you have, the better your flower will look.  If you have trouble following this you can google "rolled flowers" and I'm sure you will get some videos to come up.  This is really fun, you must give it a try.

Ex-Large Fancy Flower

Stampin' Up ABC Holiday Bundle Stampin Up Holiday Mini Stampin Up Occasion Quotes Stamp Set

Hello My Crafty Friends. .  Have you had your second cup of coffee yet.  I'm still working on my frist.  Today I have another square card to share.  I got this idea and sketch while blogging over the week end.  This card was cased from Me My Stamps and I by Chat.  She does beautiful work.  There is very little stamping going on this one.  The quote comes from our Level 3 Hostess Set called Occasional Quotes.  There is some texture on this card done with a Score Pal.  It is scored at 1/4" consistantly across the Whisper White card stock.  I used two small pieces from our Pattern Designer Series Paper Stack on pg 175 of our catty.  Then I used some cool tool for my focal point, some pearls and I made omy flower from the Exlarge Fancy Flower punchHere is how I did it.  I punched 3 peices of our Designer Paper Pack with the Fancy Flower Punch.  Then I spritzed them with water (lightly) and scrunched them all up.  Scrunch them as much as you like but be careful not to tear them.  Open them up as much as you like and layer the three pierces together alternating the petals.  Here's where you get to play a little bit.  Shape your petals as you like, then let them dry.   When they are dry I used mini glue dots to form my flower and added a pearl centerpiece.  Oh so pretty.  This is one that if you try to mail it I suggest putting it into a padded envelope or better yet just hand deliver.   While sitting here yesterday one more idea came to me for my craft fair this week end, so I will be trying to get a few of them made.  I'll show you as soon as I get one done.  It's a pocket card and I want to put a few candy canes in it.   Thanks for stopping by today and chatting.  I hope you enjoyed the card and if you need any of the supplies to make this card please click on my SHOP NOW button below.  Now for the Recipe.

A Very Special Christmas Tag

Stampin Up Holiday Bundle Stampin Up Holiday Mini Stampin Up Delightful Decorations

Good Morning My Friends, how are things going for you this morning.  I have a very special tag to share with you today and I got the idea over at Stamporisty from Lynn Mercurio.  Acutally this one is for a very speical Christmas gift, but you could change it out with another stamp set for other speical gifts.  Let your imagination take over.  You can start with just about any ole tag.  I used Very Vanilla as my cardstock and sponged some Cherry Cobbler all round the edges, deeping it more in some spots. I used our Delightful Decorations stamp set and I made a 3D image with it.  Stamp it three times on a separate piece of VV cardstock then punch them out.

Next adhere two of them together using your normal adhesive back to back, score the two you just put together using your scoring tool, fold on your score then adhere to your other piece.  This makes your 3D image   Then I went to work embellishing it for some Christmas pizzazz.  I'll have the recipe card below for you.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get some time to stamp a little today too.  Put some smiles on some faces of your family and friends.  That smile will come right back at you twofold.  Have a wonderful day.  I'm gathering all my craft items today to see what all I have made and setting up my table.  If you would like to make one of these speical gift tags and need some of the supplies please click on my SHOP NOW button below or you can contact me for more helpl.   Easy Peasy!!!  See ya tomorrow.  Toodles.

Christmas Gift Card Purse Holder

Chrstmas Gift Card Purse Holiday Mini Holiday Bundles

Hello Friends . . . Hope you're off to a great Thursday.  As you know I have been working hard on some of my craft projects, reworking some of them to make them more for Chrismas.  Today I have to share another round of cute gift card purses.  I've made several more in our great designer paper Jolly Holiday.  All you have to do is cut a 6 x 6 piece of designer paper and fold it in half.  Place a little mark 1/4" in from each edge.  Take your cutter and place the mark in the groove of your cutter while making sure the bottom edge is also in the goove and cut.  This gives you the proper angle to make you 6 x 6 piece look like a purse.  Then just cut a coordinating piece of cardstod with the Top Note Die Cut, fold in half and you have the top piece of you purse.  I used a 9" piece of ribbon for my handle.  Decorate as desired and don't forget to use a small piece of velcro to adhere you top down.  Easy Peasy!!  I'm going to try my first pictorial below.  If you have any questions please contact me.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful day.  Toodles

Gift Card Pusre

purse gift card holder

Supplies You Will Need

6 x 6 piece of Designer Paper
One Top Note
9" of Ribbon
Hand held punch 1/8"
Red Line Sticky Tape or Scor Tape
Embellish As You Like

Fold your 6 x 6 in half and place a little mark 1/4" from each edge.
Place it on your cutter where the 1/4" mark is in the goove of the cutter and
the bottom corner is lined up in the middle of the goove at the bottom.
Cut your piece and you should have the proper angle to make it look like a purse.

Next fold your top note in half and punch a small hole on each side for your
purse handle.  I used my Crop a dile the 1/8" side.  Pull your ribbon thru
and make sure it is even and where you want it.  Then I took my Score Tape and
taped the ribbon down plus added another small strip.  Now bring you purse bottom
up to just below the fold on your top note and made sure it is even on each side.
Now your purse is assembled and you can decorate your clasp any way you like.
To hold your top down I attached a small piece of velcro.  Just be gentle when
you lift it up so you don't pull the bottom piece of velcro off.  Happy Stamping!

Scallop Envelope Christmas Boxes

Stampin' Up Scallop Envelope Jolly Holiday Designer Paper Holiday Mini

Good Morning my Crafty Friends – I think it could be a little stormy here in the midwest.  Be safe out there today.  I mentioned yesterday that I was reworking some of my craft projects for the upcoming craft fair on the 13th of Novermeber.  If you are local be sure and shop by it's at Fort Zumwalt East High School.  Anyhoo, I decided to dress up my candy bottles just a tad, so I made them there very own box to relax in.  They turned out so cute.  I was mistaken when I said the Scallop Envelope Die Cut #113462 was retired.  I found it on pg 206 of the catty.  I cut four of them out and put them together using the sides of the envies as tabs.  I cut four more pieces just cutting the scallop part with Jolly Holiday Designer Paper #117159.  I put an insert inside my box measuring 3 1/8 x 8 .5, scored at 3/4, 2 5/8. 5 3/4, 7 3/4.  It does sag just a bit when you put your candy bottle in, so if you like you can stuff a little tissure paper underneath for support.  My cute little seniment is punched with the another cool tool the Scallop Square Punch #119884.  It coordinates with a couple of the tags in Tags till Christmas Stamp Set #121169TIP:  Be sure and use some extra strong adhesive like Red Sticky Tape #104294 to hold your box together.  Also I used several of our Dimensionals #104430 to adhere my sentiment.  For a little pizzazz I attached some 5/8" Old Olive Satin Ribber #117292.  I hope you enjoyed my project today.  It was really fun to make.  Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful and safe day out there.  Ta Ta For Now

Very Vintage Little Tote

Happy October Everyone – Be on the look out for cute little ghosts and goblins.  They will be on your porch in 30 days.  So cute!!!  My project today is not Halloween by the way, but I had so much fun doing this adorable little tote bag.  You can find the instuctions for it over at www.splitcoaststamper.com  VintageTote Stampin' Up Hoiday Mini My first look at it I thought oh, just another box, but WOW was I wrong.  I did a double take and decided  I'm going to try this as one of my craft fair goodies and boy am I glad I did.  It is too cute and I have tons of ideas on how to decorator it.  It's small and will hold little note cards, tags or of course we can't forget the delectible Ghirardelli Chocolate.  It will hold three of them perfectly.  Now for the how to's.  You need to have the template and it is on splitcoast.  You can copy it directly on your cardstock, but in my case Early Express is too dark so I copied it on a regular piece of paper and then taped it to my cardstock (just so it wouldn't move on me) and cut it out.  Be sure to score it good.  Follow the rest of the directions and viola' you have the cutest little tote in town.  This can be embellished any way you please.  I made mine vintage and used some of the Antique Brads that Stampin' Up is now offering.  Just beautiful.  Here's the supply list:

MINITURE TOTE BAG FROM SPLITCOASTSTAMPERS. . . .

  • Early Expresso Card Stock #119686, Very Vanilla #101650 and Designer Paper Newsprint #117166.
  • Inks – Early Expresso #119670, More Mustard #103162 and Distressing Tea Stain Ink #118762
  • Cool Tools – Antique Brads #117273, Scallop Trim Border Punch #118402, Round Circle Punches ! 1/4 #119861 and the 1 3/8 #119860 Butterfly Punch #119848. Jewels #119247, Victoria Crochet Trim #118481, Crimper #101618
  • Stamp Set – Butterfly Prints #120738

TIP:  You can make your own curly stuffing.  It is very easy.  I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstok in half and distressed it with my ink colors using a sponge.  When I got the whole sheet just the way I liked it, I went to my cutter and cut it up into small strips about 1/8".  Crimper Stampin' Up Vintage Tote Holiday MiniThen I ran them thru the Crimper.  After all was crimped I scrunched it up in the palm of my hand.  Now you have matching crimped stuffing for your little tote bag.  These tote bags look great and they are very easy to make. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help with picking out your supplies.

Thanks to stopping by today, have a great Friday.  It's another beautiful day in the neighborhood here in MO.  I'm going to try to enjoy some outdoors time today.  LOL
