Faux Quilting Using Real Red and Coastal Cabana

redbluequiltcard

Hello Friends.  Hope you are having an exceptional day.

Today I would like to share another Faux Quilting card with you.  I've had it setting around for a while now.  My colors are from a retired paper stack.  I just love these colors together (Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Crumb Cake).  Super dupper don't you think.  I cut a strip of designer paper and made 1.5 inch squares.  I arranged them on my card front and then embossed it with our Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  My stamp set is "From My Heart".  I used Coastal Cabana and Real Red ink.  I stamped my image twice and hand cut my banner using our Paper Snips.  Great scissors by the way.  I used our Circle Framelits and our Window Framelits.  Mounted it with a couple of dimenstionals.  The iside is blank for right now.  I'll add something inside when the time is right.  I just love this technique and I hope you will take the time to try Faux Quilitng.

Thanks for stopping by.   Many of you know that I volunteer for one of our local hosptials.  They have ask me to help them sew some pillows to hand out to surgery patients.  So over the next few months I'll be working on some pillows.  I'm hoping now that convention is over there will be lots of inspiration coming our way.  Demonstrators are know starting to share some of the convention boards with us.  Maybe one day I'll get to a convention.  Besides the cost I've never flown on a plane.  Yes in this day and age it is still something I need to do but I have always had a fear of flying.  I will need someone to hold my hand.  LOL  Take care folks and if you need any Stampin' Up supplies please use my SU web store or contact me to place an order.  I love being your demonstrator.  Send a comment if you like this cute Faux Quilting Technique.  Until next time.  Toodles and Happy Stamping.  P.S.  Be looking for the Holiday Mini.  Release date is Aug 28th.  I hear nothing but good things.  Can't wait!!!

Work Of Art

artwork

Hello Friends !!!

OMG when I spotted this card on Sandy MacIver's post I fell in love.  This card is me all over, color, swirls and flowers.  This is totally cased.  I did have to sub my flourish.  This is retired from "Priceless".  If you need a flourish, "Everything Eleanor" is a good choice.  There are two new stamps sets here,  "Work of Art" and "Pictogram Punches".   PP has a coordinating punch pack.

I sponged Tangelo Twist and Real Red on the background stamp and stamped lightly.  Next comes the flourish.  My focal point is the flower pot from "Pictogram Punches".  I also sponged the flowers with the same colors.  The middle flower lays flat and I have dimensionals on the other two.  My sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes".   I repeated the flourish and flowers on the inside.  Leaving it blank for now, probably will be a HB card.

Thanks for stopping by.  I enjoyed working on this card.  I love being your demonstrator.  To place your Stampin' Up order please click on the link below.  I love hearing from you, so drop me a line every once in a while.  Take Care.  Toodles

Bloom With Hope and Petite Pairs

Hello Frends. . .  It's the weekend and it's time for some fun in the sun.  I'm sitting around and feeling a little ansy.  My family has gone to the softball nationals, which happens to be in Panama Ctity, Fl and guess who gets to dog sit,  Today I have a pretty card to share.  Once again using our new In Color colors.  I have a new order on the way and I can't wait for it to get here.

My colors are Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Whisper White and some designer paper from our "Moonlight" paper pack.  My pretty focal piece is cut from our "Delicate Doily Thinlet".  Let me give you a heads up.  It can be a litte challenging to say the least.  Be sure and use some wax paper when you cut it and it will save you a lot of headaches.  My sentiment is from "Petite Pairs", my flower is from "Bloom With Hope" and was colored with our new "Blendabilities" Daffodil Delight Collection and then cut out by hand.  I added some pearls and some of the matching satin ribbon "Blackberry Bliss".  Oh my, I'm always forgetting to tell you about the embossing folder.  I used our "Decorative Dots" embossing folder and the Big Shot.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful week-end.  I'm on my way out to walk the dog.  He needs to get rid of some of that extra energy he seems to always have.  LOL  I need some of that.  If you need to place any orders please use my SU web store.  They just posted some new items in the Clearance Rack.  Be sure and check it out.  Until next time.  Toodles

More “Blendabilities”

girlfriends

Happy Fourth of July .

I've been practicing with my "Blendabilities".  Today I wanted to practice on coloring people.  All I could come up with was a retired image.  The two little girls are so cute.  My face and hair was colored with "Copics".  Stampin' Up does have skin tone colors,  I just don't have them yet, they are called the Skin Tone Assortment.  This pack comes with six (6) alcohol markers (Bronze, Mocha, Blush, Natural Nude and Ivory).  This set is a little more expensive ($22.95) because you are getting six markers.  For my background I used some designer paper from the "Moonlight" Designer Pack.  My yellow is the new In Color "Hello Honey".  I'm sure this will be one of my favorite colors.  I was told some years back that every piece you color needs a touch of yellow to make it pop.  What do you think?  Works for me.  I embossed my yellow with the Square Lattice Folder.  WOW I didn't find it in our new catty, I guess they retired it.   I've leaving the inside blank until I decide what I'm using it for.

Hello Folks – Happy Day To You

Today I have a Sandy original to share.  I had a couple of stamped flowers that I peviously colored with my "Blendabilities" on my desk and here is how I put them together.  My card base is a new In Color called Tangelo Twist and I layered with a piece of designer paper.  The paper comes from a paper pack named "Watercolor Wonder"  and it is retired.  Next I attached one of our pretty paper doilies.  Then on top of that I placed my die cut images and backed them with some more of our new In Color cardstock.  The "Blendabiities" that I used are Coastal Cabana and Pumpkin Pie.  They come in a pack of three and the three colors will blend and coordinate perfectly.  I added a banner using some designer paper from our "Moonlight" paper pack and die cut it with one of our dies from the Itty Bitty Banner die set.  My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
