HAPPY DAY TO YA. . . Hope your day is starting off with a bang. We are a little gloomy here today but boy oh boy do we need the rain. It's not even June yet and the grass is turning brown. Look out water bill, it's going to be one of those kind of summers.
I don't have a card to share with you today, but I do have some of my gifts for my Open House this Saturday. Come on by if you live in the St. Charles/St. Louis area. I had such a good time making the pretty, colorful Pin Wheels. The were pretty easy too. I used some of our retiring In Color cardstock and coordintating paper. Remeber last year you could get a 6 x 6 paper pack of the In Colors as a Hostess Gift. Great looking patterened paper.
After many tries of experimenting for just the right size, I decided a 4" square was just right. Cut a 4" square and score down the center from point to point on both sides. Then I cut my peice of designer paper just a tad smaller 3 3/4" square. Fold your lines real well so you have good creases. Then I adhered my dp to my square. Cut up the corners about half way to 3/4 of the way. Don't go any futher or you pen wheel will be too floppy. On each corner you will need to punch a small hole with your 1/8" hand held punch for the brad to go in and you will need another hold right smack dab in the center of your scored "X". Put your brad in one corner and gently fold over. Keep bringing each end up and put your brad in each one then put all four into the center hole and fasten down tight. Viola you have a pretty pen wheel.
If I have confused you, just Google Pin Wheels and you will find some videos out there. Easy peasy!!!!!!

Hello Everyone. . . Happy Wednesday. OMG I need to get busy this is my last card that I have made. It's another sneek peek of the ever so cute Betsy's Blossoms.
My card base is the standard A2 card (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2) made from a piece of Whisper White, layered with a piece of our new designer paper called Comfort Cafe'. It's one of our new In Colors, Midnight Muse. My next layer is also from our New In Colors called Raspberry Ripple. You will find these two colors go very well together. I've used them alot lately. Funny how color combos get stuck in your head and it hards to let them go. My little fleur is from a retired set called Priceless and is it inked in Gumball Green, another new In Color. My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes inked with Raspberry Ripple.

Hello Friends. . . The first big week end is past us and I'm completely exhausted, but the pool my friends is done (except for the normal maint.). Got a few things on my plate this week. Wedding season is fast approaching, so today I have a cute wedding card to share. I used one of our new products from the catty that will be unveiled on June 1st. It's called Layered Labels and I'm so happy to announce it has a coordinating Framelits Die Cut called Apothecary Accents. This is a trend that I hope SU continues and even goes a little farther with. I would love to see matching die cuts for individual stamp sets. Hint Hint SU.
Anyhoo my card base is Whisper White topped with a piece of Wisteria Wonder from the designer paper pack Sweet Shop. Next is another layer of Whisper White and Concord Crush. Boo hoo Concord Crush is retiring this year but Stampin' Up has made an announcement to hold on to all your 2010-2012 In Colors for they might reappear at a later date. Yippie !!!!! My cute bride and groom hearts are called Punch Art. I got the inspiration from LeeAnn Greff she does wonders with our punches. The gentlemen was punched with our Full Heart Punch #119883 and his shirt comes from the same heart and snipped with our Paper Snips. The bride was punched from our Scallop Heart Emosslit #117332 and nested with another punched heart. I embossed it with our Elegant Lines Embossing Folder #119277.

My cardbase is Very Vanilla, topped with a piece of Soft Suede and topped again with a piece of dp from the new pack of Designer Paper called Comfort Cafe'. To add some interest to my card I added a strip of Early Expresso Grosgrain Ribbon. Next I used my nesties for my Scallop Circle, but in the new catty there will be several ways you can get this look. There is a new die cut coming with three (3) different size doily's. Be sure and check out pg 191 of our new catty.
Next I punched a 2 1/2" Circle and used our Square Lattice Embossing Folder #119976. Love it !!!!
Now for the exciting new Stamp Set and matching die. The set is called Layered Labels and it has a coordinating framelit to match. I stamped it twice in Cajun Craze and punched the center of one of them with our Large Oval Punch #119855. Next I grabbed my Boho Blossom Punch #119858 and punched a few flowers using Cajun Craze again. Added a sweet pearl and viola' you have a very nice all occasion card. Easy peasy!!!!!! Let's name this new look modern shabby chic. You could make it every more shabby by sponging a little Soft Suede all around the edges.

Hello folks. . . Happy Thursday to ya. Today I have a cased card to share with you. For those of you not familar with the word case. It means that I have duplicated someone else's card design. This is a very cute card and I could not resisit. I found it on Dawn's site "Dawns Stamping Thoughts". Thanks Dawn.
I changed my colors but I kept the same stamp set. I love this cute little set called Bright Blossoms. It will be available in the new catty come June 1st. My sentiment set is Petite Pairs. My colors are Calypso Coral and Whisper White. I used designer paper from the In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack. Each color family has a pack. You can find it on the bottom portion on each color family. It runs $21.95 and has 40 sheets of designer paper. Great stuff!!!
Cool Tools. . . There's a couple . The Scallop Trim Border Punch (you know I love it!!!), our 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, and our 1 3/8" Circle Punch. Added a piece of our 3/8" Taffeta Whisper White Ribbon.
SPECIAL TIP: Dawn has a video for you to watch. Be sure and have plenty of adhesive on your flower circles when you adhere them down, if not when you slide your second panel across it will catch on your circles. What I found to be the best is to make them stickers. I used my 2" Xyron Sticker Maker for this and it worked beautifully.
I hope you enjoyed today's share. It's a little bit involved but well worth it. Don't give up if it doesn't work the first time. LOL

Today I have a card to share using Stampin' Ups Fabulous Florets. I've converted to the clear mounted stamps C123027 but it still is available for you guys that like the wood W123025.
My cardbase is Baja Breeze topped with a piece of our White Naturals cardstock #102316. It is a thicker piece of card stock but is a little porous. Our new foam ink pads work well with it. The pads are fabulous. Your images are much crisper. It coordinates well with my designer paper, don't you think. My paper is new it's called Comfort Cafe' and you can find it in the new catty due to be unveiled on June 1st. Can't wait. My ink colors are Gumball Green and Midnight Muze, the new In Colors for this year and next. I was a little undecided out the Gumball Green strip across the card. Green and blue go well together right. I used our new Edgelits Fame and coordinating Embossing Folder for that pretty edge you see. Added some 3/8" Whisper White Ribbon to top it off. Added some of our pretty pearls for the finishing touch.

My cardbase is Whisper White topped with a new In Color called Raspberry Ripple. It's a very rich color. I know you will love it. Next is another piece of WW. I stamped my images directly on this piece. Oh boy, the new ink pads are just wonderful. They give you a rich image with little effort. That's nice for us folks that have issues with our hands and grip. You know who you are. You will be amazed at the difference. I will definitely convert my ink pads over in time. There are that good!!!!!!!! My brid was inked in another new color called Midnight Muze and the leave was done in Gumball Green. I cut these images out with my Paper Snips and put them on dimenstionals. My sentiment comes from the set Curly Cute W117014/C120510. Added some demension with a button and some bling.

Hello Folks. . . Happy Saturday to ya. This week end is pretty big here in Missouri. School has ended for most and the graduation ceremony's have begun. I have two today.
I made a cute little You Did It Graduation Card for one of my friends. I tried to make it happy and cheery. My card base is Whisper White topped with a piece of Real Red and topped again with a retired piece from Pawsitively Prints. I loved that designer paper.
I cut out a scallop circle and a plain circle with my nesties and added a cute 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (Temp. Turquoise). My stamp set is retiring, its Herb Expressions #113224. I often use this set if I'm in need of flowers with stems. You can find it on pg 121 of your catty. I used my markers to fill in the small flowers and leaves. My sentiment is also retired, its from Mini Mates.
I'm off to make some cupcakes for the celebrations today. Baking is my second love. I made cupcakes yesterday for Kayleigh's end of school party. What fun !!!! I'm trying Boston Cream Cupcakes today.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day. If you would like to place your orders for some of the retiring stamps and accessories I would love to be your demonstrator. Please CLICK HERE and shop in my ON LINE STORE. It's open 24/7 for your shopping convenience. Until next time. Toodles
Hello Folks. . . Happy Friday, I hope all is well. I've been playing with some of the new products from the catty that will be released on June 1st. When SU announced they were retiring all the stamp pads and changing them out to a new foam pad I thought OUCH. But boy oh boy I'm sold.
The new In Colors for this year are very bold and striking. I can't believe the difference in the quality of my image when you use the new stamp foam pads. Over the years I have developed some health issues with my hands from over use. These new pads are amazing. I hope you can tell from my picture how striking the images are. I barely had to use any pressure at all and look at the great image I got. Over time I will definitely replace my ink pads with the new foam pads.
2012-2013 In Colors
(Gumball Green, Midnight Muze, Summer Starfruit,
Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple)
My inspiration today comes from a combination of ideas that I found while browsing the world wide web out there. It featues four of the new In Colors for this year (Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Midnight Muze). My stamp set is new and it's called Betsy's Blossoms. It is whimsy yet modern in style. My sentiment is from Friendly Phrases W126149/C126151. It has become one of my go to sets for sentiments.
I used several Cool Tools. The pretty edge was done with the Adorning Accents Edgelit Die from the Occasions Mini. Click here to view what had been carried over. I also used the matching Embossing Folder for a little pizzazz. For the little flower I used our 1/2" Circle Punch #119869 and for the larger flower I cut it out with our Paper Snips #103579. These scissors have a sharp pointed tip to get into small areas. My Designer Paper is also new. It called Comfort Cafe' and features all of the new 2012-2013 In Colors.
REMINDER: Just a few weeks left and we will be saying goodbye to over 300 products from this year's catty. Be sure and take a little time to go over your wish list and make sure you have everthing covered. May 31st is the last day you can order. The new catalog will go live at 12:00pm mountain time on June 1st.
If you would like to place an order I would love to be your demonstrator. Click here and shop in my ON LINE STORE. Open 24/7 for your shopping convenience. I'm here to help or just talk shop if you like.
That's it for me folks. Thanks for stoppin' by. Have a wonderful stamping day. Until next time. Toodles
