Easter Basket Fun
March 23rd, 2010 , No Comments »Hello Friends – Happy Easter!!!!!!!! I know, I know don't think I'm going crazy, just having a little fun. But look out Easter is on it's way soon. The challenge over at LSN this week is to make Anyting But A Card. Knowing that Eater is coming, how could I not make an Easter Basket. Now I need to make another one so I have two for the girls. I'm going to put something extra special in it for them. For the basket I went to my old faithful the Big Shot # 113439 (you can't go wrong when you purchase this, I know it's costly but I must say I use this machine every day) and pulled out the Fancy Favor Box Die #115965. In order to use this die properly you will also need some accessories, the Extended Cutting Pads #113478 and the Extended Premium Crease Pad #117630. The Big Shot makes it so easy (you won't ever have to purchase another die cutting machine). I used Apricot Appeal as my base and a 1 x 8.5" piece of AA again for the handle. I adhered it with an orange eyelet using my Cropodile #108362, another tool that makes it so easy. Then placed a 2" band around my box with a peice of Sweet Pea DP #117161. My pack is amost gone and I have ordered a new one. Great paper. I think this is actually the first time that I have used a papckage till it was all gone. LOL I thought the box was a little naked so I attached another strip of Sweet Pea (1/4") at the top and bottom of the band. Stamped my Happy Easter from Well Scripted #118601. Punched it with the 1 3/4" circle punch. Now the scallop around the circle is a 2" scallop punch, non SU, but it is exacly the same as our 1 3/4" scallop punch and is even made by the same people. Put a little bling on for sparkle and Viola' you have yourselft a perfect little Easter basket.
I know I sound like a broken record, but Sale A Bration is winding down, you only have 8 moer days and this once a year sale will end (Mar 31st). You don't want to miss this opportunity to receive FREE stamps and products. The big shot tote is still up for grabs — go for it.
