Good Morning Friends – Today I have a card for you that I hope will put a spring in your step.  I am anxiously awaiting spring so with Valentine's Day almost behind us, I'm moving on to spring.  My card today is Choc Chip, Old Olive, So Saffron and Whisper White.  I love making my own backgrounds, so I used a sheet from the Designer Series Paper Pack from the SAB Mini and added my own touch.  The stamp set is called Season of Friendship (111776).  It has a stamp for every season so you can use it year round.  For some extra interest I used the small corner rounder on the botton edges and carried that theme throughout the card.  The tree itself is stamped with Chocolate Chip and the leaves are Old Olive.  I used the stamp off method.  This is when you ink your stamp very well with ink, stamp once then stamp again.  This technique gives you the illusion of depth on your piece and we always need depth and texture on our cards.  The birthday sentiment is from Well Scriped (118601) in the Occasions Mini.  I love the fonts on the new words sets, they just make me smile.  I'm lovin the clear mount stamp sets. They let you geti it right the first time.  Love it!!!

1. Card Base is Choc Chip cut at 4.25 x 11 and scored at 5.5
2. 1st Layer is Old Olive cut at 4 x 5.25, Designer Paper from the SAB Mini is 3.75 x 5 Corners were rounded using the Small Corner Rounder (109047)
3. 2nd Layer is Choc Chip cut at 3.25 x 3.5, Old Olive cut at 3 1/8 x 3.25, Whisper White cut at 2 7/8 x 3".  Again cut corners with the corner rounder.  TIP:  I stamped the full image on a pience of WW, stamped my leaves and then cut it down to the size I need.  So you are not seeing the whole image.  Sentiment is Well Scripted (118601), I wrapped a piece of So Saffron Ribbon around my first layer.  The Background was stamped randomly using the small flower and leaf stamp.  I used More Mustard and Old Olive inks.
