Happy Monday To All – Didi you have a safe and candy filled Halloween.  Ours was a quiet one here on the home front.  There are not very many small children in our subdivision.  I will be busy for the next couple of days.  The yard needs some tending to picking up leaves and I’m getting ready for a big birthday party for my youngest granddaugher Kayleigh.  I am fixing her a birthday dinner with all the fixins on Tuedsday evening.  She is turning 11.  WOW!!!!!!!  I went shopping for her over the weekend and naturally they didn’t have the things I needed.  A couple of weeks ago she picked out some new shoes.  My little granddaugher has a shoe fettish.  Whenever she goes shopping it’s not for clothers it’s for shoes.  She wears a size 11 shoe.  I sure hope this means she is going to be tall.  Anyhoo I was on a mission to find uggs.  Have you heard of them?  I was clueless.  Apparently they are hot hot hot right now and they come from Australia.  They are only shipped here in the US two times a year and they are hot on the college scene.  Well, to say the least they don’t carry a large inventory in size 11’s so I had to get a size 10.  The sales lady convinced me to purchase them so I would have a gift to give and then we can bring them back and order the 11’s if we need to.  What a sales pitch, but it worked.     I have two granddaughter’s and I always give the non birthday girl a small present so she doesn’t feel left out.  You know how that goes.  Well Kourtney just turned 13 a short while ago and she informed me that the birthday fairey always has a gift for her and she sure would like a pair of these uggs too.  So I couldn’t let the birthday fairey down.  We bought two pairs of uggs.  I can’t wait to give them to them and see a big smile on their face.  I’m so predictable.   Let me tell you about todays card.  It is the SCS weekend challenge.  Recipe card below.  Today is the start of a new month and that means new SU promotions.  Check out my left sidebar for the Holiday Gift Giving Guide.  It’s full of gift ideas for the holidays.  Thanks for stopping bye and listening to my saga.  Have a great Monday.  Toodles

Coloring technique:  I stamped my image on watercolor paper with Black Stazon.  For those of you new to stamping Black Stazon is waterproof.  I use refill inks and I drop just a little bit in the lid of my ink pad.  I then take my blender pen and barely pick up a little color with the tip of the pen.  I fill in my images lightly and then add more color for shading.  TIP:  Always color in lightly.  You can always add more color but you can’t take it away.
