Unfrogetttable – WSC98

OMG – You know when your getting older when your granddaughter turns 13.  Well that’s today.  Happy Birthday Kourtney and many more.  I decided to kill two birds with one stone by using Beate’s sketch challenge.  What’s that you say.  Well, every week-end Beate posts us a sketch challenge.  Kourtney likes bold and bright colors, so I used my Copics.  Orange and green are some of her favorite colors.  So wha’ts green, a frog.  For my stamp set I used Unfrogettable (retired).

Card stock is Old Olive, matted with Pumpkin Pie and DP Pumpkin Pie.  To finish it off I used Old Olive ribbon, booglie eyes, and a little bling.  I also used my beloved nesties.  My week-end is filled with a b/d party and of couse what girls love best SHOPPING!  I hope your week-iend is full of fun too.  Put a smile on someone’s face and stamp them a handcrafted card.  Take care. TFL and I’ll see you back on Monday.  Toodles

True Friend

Hi Everyone – Sorry I didn’t get to post yesterday.  I was hosting my daughter’s bunco group and we made dinner for everyone.  Twelve guests is a large group to serve.  I had to scrounge for silverware.  LOL  Oh well, it went very well and they enjoyed our pork tender loin with sherry cream sauce, twice baked potatoes, and our strawberry walnut salad.  The desserts were to die for.  I made my choclate brownie triffle, and several of the ladies brought a few more things.  Say the least most of the dessert was left.  Just too much food.  Well that’s what I did yesterday so I quickly put this card together for you this morning.  I hope you enjoy it.  Card stock is Soft Suede, choc chip, cameo coral, very vanilla.  I used the Flowers Forever standard roller.  It is simply a beautiful pattern.  I highly suggest it especially for formal or wedding cards.  TIP:  For a standard card you do not need the cartiridge, you can use your stamp pad.  For anything larger than a standard card you will need the cartridge insert.  Stamp Set is True Friend #110378.  It has been around for a couple of years and it acutally coordinates with the western theme.  Look see on pg 122.  I used our new butterfly punch #116629.  TIP:  Don;t forget to purchase your tools, they will make your card look so professional and finished.  Also the Word Window #115090 and the new Modern Label #116630 punches were used.  I used a little bling on the butterfly and nail heads on the sentiment.  Nesties were used for the scallops.  Soft Suede ribbon.  Today’s is my granddaughters 13th b/d, so we have a full weekend.  I hope you enjoy yours and I’ll see you on Sat.  TFL  toodles

Kind & Caring Thoughts – Mojo104

Good Morning To All.  My project today is the Mojo104 challenge.  Have you ever had a brain freeze.  LOL  Well I was auditioning colors for my card today and it took me a couple of times to pull something together that I liked.  For those of you who know me, you know I have trouble with open space,  [what I call negative space] and this layout falls into that category.   I desperately wanted to use my Itty Bitty Backgrounds, but I held off.  LOL  I got such a big response the last time I used this set that I decided to use it again.  Stamp Set is a Level 3 hostess set Kind and Caring Thoughts #115324.

Cardstock is Bermuda Bay.  I used a piece of Bermuda Bay DP for a faux ribbon effect and a strip of 1/2" BB Polka Dot ribbon.  The sentiment is from the set Great Friend.  Both are stamped on whisper white and matted with soft suede.  Three white brads in the corner to balance it out.  The next few days are going to be a whirl wind.  I’m getting ready for Stamp Club on Wed. and my daughter is having her bunco group over Thurs night.  We will be making dinner for 12.  Should I make her do all the work?  Yes, I should but no I won’t.  And on top of all that my Granddaughter is celebrating her 13th B/d on friday.  WOW has time flew by or what.  This will be the first time in 12 years that I haven’t made special b/d invites for her party.  She couldn’t make a decision on what she wanted to do.  Heaven help us we are entering the teen years.  Say a little prayer.  Take care and TFL  Toodles

Ribbon is RR.  Stamp Set is Serene Snowflakes #115438.  It’s in the Holiday Mini.   I used my nesties for the focal point and the senitiment is Heard From the Heart #111644.

Autumn Harvest Thanksgiving Style

Hello folks, I’m sorry I didn’t get to post yesterday.  Just a little under the weather and needed some R&R.  I worked on this beauty Friday night.   I’m looking for a Thanksgiving Card for my Stamp Club. I used Autumn Harvest #110372.  I’ve used this one quite a bit and this goes to show you how versitle Stampin’ Up sets are.  I think all of them have a different feel to them.  I colored in my images with my Prisma Color pencils and gamsol.  Colors are Choc Chip, Mellow Moss, DP is retired Afternoon Tea.  I try to use current products but this just fit it to a tea.  Don’t you think.  The fluers are from Garden Whimsy and the pumpkin pie flowers are from an unknown set.  Sentiment is punched with the Window Punch from Teen Tiny Wishes #115370.  If you’re in need of words (always) I think this set has something for every holiday.  I used my Big Shot to cut the Top Note Die #113463 with Shimmery White cardstock.  I used 5/8" Choc Chip ribbon and a little bling.  Hope you have a nice weekend. I’ll see you on Monday.  TFL  Toodles

Birds&Blooms

Hello Everyone.  Today I have a simple but clean card for you.  There’s not much stamping to it.  For the stem and leaves I used an oldy but goody Time Well Spent.  Feel free to use whatever you have.  I can’t talk enough about our Big Shot.  I use it daily.  Check out SU’s promotions page for more details and a video.  It’s a little pricey but worth every penny.  I used the Birds and Bloom Sizzlits die.  They come in a 4 pack.  The 1 inch circle punch and the 1/2 in circle punch was used for the centers.  Sooooooo cute!!!   Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment.  X-mas is coming and it would make a wornderful gift.  Cardstock is Mellow Moss, matted with Pumpkin Pie and Whister White.  I was trying to get a fall look.  How did I do?  I used a Mellow Moss marker to color in the stems.  DP and ribbon is also Pumpkin Pie.  I used random buttons from my stash.  Hope you have a wonderful day.  I have to get up early and take my grandkids to school.  TFL  Toodles

Whimsy Autumn Harvest Scapbooking Page

Well, I was quite busy yesterday.  I dug my heals in and got started on cleaning out the shed.  We had a pretty day today so there was no better time than the present.  Mostly it was reorganizing but I did throw some things away.  It’s amazing what you can accumulate over the years.  I love snowmen and boy do I have a lot of them.  LOL  On to todays card, acutally it isn’t a card.  This is one of my scrapbooking pages for this months Stamp Club.

Great color combo.  I used Soft Suede as my backdrop, matted with some Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White  and DP from the pumpkin pie series.  I wanted a fall or halloween feel to it so I used my Autumn Harvest again #110372 on pg 26 of the catty.  I  just love the chunky one don’t you.  It is such a large area that I decided to paper piece.  It gives it that whimsy look which I love.  Not many accessories today just the Scallop Edge punch.  You don’t see it here but I just might add the pumpkin face to give it a little more pizazzzzzz.  Have a great day and TFL  Toodles

Batty4U Halloween Card & Treat

Hi Everyone.  Did you all have a nice Labor Day.  We didn’t get any rain and the sun came out in the afternoon  I worked hard today getting ready for my monthly stamp club.  I made my scrapbooking pages.  Are you in to scrapbooking.  Well SU is going digial.  In the month of Oct Stampin’ Up will be releasing its digital software called My Digital Studio.  I have not had a chance to order it, but it is on my list.  We hear you are going to love it.  If you are familar with word they say you won’t have any trouble navigating thru the many selections being offered.  Today I thought I would show you a card that I worked on yesterday.

I just love this time of year.  You get to make so many cute cards and treat containers for the kids and the big kids too.  LOL  I used Basic Gray for my card base which is another 4 1/4 square, matted with basic black and DP from last year.  The strip is pumpkin pie CS and DP Series Paper.  I used the Scallop Circle with the circle punches 1 1/4 and 1 /38".  I used sometjhing new.  Did you notice.  The scallop behind the scallop punch circle is from the Big Shot Bigz Dies Scallop Circle #2.  A must have if you’re into scallops like I am.  I only have a few Halloween Stamps so I used my Batty for You #116576 again.  Soooooooo cute  The candy wrapper is from the same DP wrapped around a Hershey’s Bar (Yum).  I used red line sticky tape to make sure it held together and stamped Trick or Treat from a retired set.  So Saffron ribbon and random buttons in the corner for some extra pizzazzzzz  You all have a great day.  Be sure and visit my Etsy Shop.  There’s some special there for you.  TFL  Toodles

WSC#96 Challenge

Happy Labor Day.  We’ve had a quit and rainy week-end here in Missouri.  Hopefully tomorrow is supposed to bring a little sunshine.  I had plans to clean out my shed this week-end but couldn’t get to it due to weather.  I have made several cards though so it wasn’t a total loss.  LOL  This is my take on the WSC challenge this week-end.  Not much stamping but I think it turned out grrrreat.  Card size is 4 1/4 square.  Stamp set is a retired hostess set.  I did deviate from the sketch a little bit.  I didn’t have a Merry Christmas stamp that would fit in a circle, so I used the retired set Punches Three.  I think it worked well, don’t you.

I used Soft Suede card stock..  Don’t you think that this color is a perfect back drop.  Designer Paper is from the Holiday Mini (be sure and check it out) it is just beautiful.  Christmas Cocoa #116770.  Ribbon is soft suede [yep, you heard right in-color ribbon is reversible]  Used the Scallop Square Punch #112081 and the Photo Corner Punch #109042.  Oh, Oh, I did want to tell you that I have opened my own Esty Store.  What’s that you say,  Well I’m making all these cards and have no place to go with them.  So I decided to share them with you.  You can purchase some of these cards at my Etsy Store.  There’s just a few there right now but I will keep posting.  Click here and take a peek.   Hope you get to eat some BBQ before the week-end is over.  TFL  Toodles
