Hi Everyone.  You’ll never guess what I’m up to this week-end.  Dog Sitting.  I am trying to maintain peoce among three very lovable but jealous dogs.  Once again I have used the Sparkly & Bright stamp set #115346.  Don’t you just love the little trees.  They are so cute and whimsy.  CS is Taken with Teal mats are Certainly Celery, Taken with Teal and Whisper White.  Shimmery White would also be beautiful.  I didn’t have any DP with the right colors so I made my own.  I used the new jumbo wheel Sparkling #116444.  It’s just perfect for your X-mas cards.  I inked it with Certainly Celery and then put some dots on it with Taken with Teal marker to help tie it all together.  The right hand corner is bothering me, leaving it blank but I don’t have anything I can put there just yet.  I would like to have some small white snowflake rub ons.  There are some in the upcoming Holiday Mini.  But for a stamp a stack there wouldn’t be enough of them.   Have a great week-end and I’ll be back on Monday.  TFL  toodles

Hi Everyone – I’m sorry I’m not going to be able to post for the next few days.  My Aunt has passed away.  I don’t know about you but we are never ready for such events.  It’s like our dress clothes disappear.  I know, I know we don’t get out much.  I’m off to the florist and then picking up my grandkids and getting their school supplies.  It’s that time of year again.  I hope to be back on Saturday.  Take care and God Bless. 

Happy Wednesday.  Today’s card is the SCS sketch for this week.  I just tweeked it a little bit.  The Stamp Set today is Flight of the Butterfly #111564.  It’s a large set with 10 stamps.  The technique is called two-step stamping.  This is a great way to stamp images because you don’t have to make any coloring decisions.  CS is R Razzleberry matted with Orchid Opulence.  Sometimes we get carried away with the new in-colors and forget about the other 48 colors.  This years in-colors coordinate very well with some of our regular color families.  This would look great with pretty in pink as well.  I used the Big Shot Bigz Die Top Note #113463.  I know the Big Shot #113439 is a big investment but boy I sure do use it alot.  The more you use something the easier it is to justify.  It’s great to cut an image and be done with it.  It’s great for scrapbooking at well.  DP is Cottage Wall #115671.  Oh boy, if you’re a purple lover this ones for you.  Sentiment is from the Level 3 hostess set Kind and Caring Thoughts.  When you host a $500 workshop you can choose this set for free.  It has some lovely verses in it and you can never have too many verses to choose from.  Ribbon is R Razzleberry Polka Dot #115613.  Buttons are from stash.  I hope you enjoyed the card for today and remember

Well it’s another Monday and yes I’m looking forward to another MOJO sketch.  As soon as I get it completed I’ll let you know.  I celebrated my 39th wedding anniversary this week-end.  Boy, years go by fast but I must say I would do it all over again.  LOL    Hope you had a great week-end too.  They go by fast don’t they.  The Holiday Mimi is coming (Sept 1st) and oh boy it is just chocked full of great stamp sets and accessories.  We are going digital.  This fall Stampin’ Up is going digital.  Don’t have much more information than that, but I’ll pass it along as soon as I can.  As a stampin up demonstrator I got to pre-order some sets.  My order was larger than I like but oh boy it always is.  LOL Be sure and keep an eye out for some new sets and designs.  If you need a copy of the Holiday Mini drop me a line with your name and address and I will get one out to you.  Now for my card.  This is a b/d card.  We never seem to have enough of them do we.  Stamp set is Garden Greeting #113716.  I must admit this is an oldy but goodie.  CS is Baja Breeze (retired) but you can substitute any color.  Matted on Choc Chip and Wh. White #100730.  Ink is Choc Chip, Baja Breeze and So Saffron.  If you don’t remember me talking about empty space well here it is again and I used my Itty Bitty Backgrounds #114996.  A great go to all around background set.  So Saffron ribbon.  This was a quick and easy card and I hope you enjoyed it.

Good Morning.  Hope your week-end is starting off with a bang.  I love the look of vintage cards.  I’m not quite sure why I seem to have to work so hard to achive this look.  But I keep trying.  Stamp Set is Great Friend #113792.  CS is Certainly Celery topped off with DP Tea Party #105125/113992.  I used Close to Cocoa  and the Scallop Edge Punch #112091.  Focal point is Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla CS #100549/101650.  For the butterfly I used the Kissing Technique with PP and Close to Cocoa Ink.  For the kissing technique you stamp your image in the main ink color and then roll your edges in the other ink color (usually a darker color).  This technique is very effective and elegant looking.  I also distressed my edges with my scissors and then sponged CTC oll around.  Accessories are Cordory Button (Choc Chip) #114339 and Natural Buttons (retired).  Oh, oh I almost forget I rounded the edges of my card with the small corner rounder punch #109047.  That’s all for now folks.  My grandaughter is trying out for several softball teams this morning and of course her nana just has to go watch.  LOL  Take care and have a great week-end.  Do some stamping!!!!!!!
